I am a 71 year old life long Redskins fan. This podcast is a three layer cake with the stories of Santana, Logan and Fred. The icing on the cake is Doug Williams, a true Redskins legend!
This is beautiful! I rather they spend an hour on each players journey. Especially Doug. To hear him name drop all those legends he played against in the SWAC
Santana had one of his best games for us beaten the cowboys much respect for that especially since we always got beat after 92 by dallas moss that stands the test of time love santana
Great show. Great stories. I only heard about 27, mississippi st wasnt on tv. I never knew Logan until he scored that TD against Philly like... "who is that? He can ball." But 89. I remember watching Tana in college. He was returning punts for TD, 40 yard posts caught in stride. I knew Tana was going to be a beast. I actually saw Doug at Grambling once. They used to be on TV once a year around thanksgiving. I saw him senior year. He was the first black QB i remember the media being like... "he can play in the league."
You guys killed it! Thanks!!! Excellent. My all time fav player is Darrell Green. Thanks Fred for giving him the props! You are so funny Bro! Maybe Mr Green to be on a future show 🙏❤️
Doug’s comments on how Joe Gribbs watched over him during their time in Tampa Bay. Especially, when Joe observed another assistant coach yelling at Doug. Joe ran up to the coach and said “Don’t you yell at him”. It was very touching how Doug told the story
Raiders Hall of Famer Willie Brown cornerback was at that camp too, he made you do push ups on your fingers so your fingers wouldnt get jammed on bad passes.
Question I always wondered. Let’s use Santana Moss as an example. He said San Francisco was his favorite team growing up. When were they no longer your favorite team? Day 1 in the NFL or does it just slowly faze away throughout college?
