Kraig, I really appreciate how calm you are. It helps me focus on what you're talking about. I also enjoy how quiet your videos are. Some folks add in loud music to their RUclips travel videos, and I hardly every like it. And, of course, your drone footage is phenomenal! Thank you for all you do.

Hey Pro Tip for your Salomon shoes. You can roll the laces up on themselves and then tuck them into the hidden pocket of the tongue. This keeps the laces from flopping around everywhere or getting caught on twigs while hiking.

Was still watching at the end!
I think what captivates me about your videos is that you seem to be making a enjoyable living off what what seems to me (in my current situation) to be a bit of a "dream job". I love being out in nature and going on long hikes/backpacking, but the 8-5 I've felt tied to for the last 15 years of my 36 year old life has me feeling chained down. I would LOVE to be able to reclaim more of my time in this short life we get and go SEE and DO the things that really make me happy (and if it's financially self sustaining - sweet!). I just don't know how to get there from where I am.
Long story, short. I really enjoy your style of video making in general, and love that at least "someone" is out there making the dream happen lol

I’m still here at the end. I just enjoy experiencing what you experience along with you. I personally love your process and what you put out. I’ve no interest in becoming a RUclipsr or even doing the same hikes you do. I just love the outdoors. I go out and enjoy them when I can, and supplement with your content. Been a member for awhile now and hope you keep doing what you’re doing.

Here til the end! I was the one who asked if you ever miss having the Sony. Thanks for answering, I've been shooting with a similar setup to your old setup (A7iii and Mavic Air 2s) and always wish it had a smaller footprint.
"Better" gear can easily be used as a creative crutch, and I think your work is a great example of doing more with less. Keep it up!

Aloha Kraig! Love your vids and shorts, you're one of the few that "walk the walk" and your efforts are greatly appreciated - you deserve every bit of success that you have enjoyed. Your work has brought a major sense of calm through some crazy times in the last 3 years, especially with all of the COVID madness about. Life balance is key, but seemingly far from attainable for so many unfortunately.
Denver is a greatly creative region, you'll find a lot of folks with similar passions there. Thank you for giving some real insight on what you do/go through/invest and the some of the pitfalls of being a creative.

I'm here at the very end.
Here's who I am: your gear videos initially hooked me at the start of the pandemic when hiking was the only thing to do. Used your set up to inform mine. Then, I got hooked on your solo hike videos and used them as visual asmr. Took a long break from your channel and would occasionally pop in when some gear video or interesting trip hit my front page. Got more reconnected with your videos when you went the vlog route, especially when you moved to Colorado (which is where I'm originally from) and watched nearly every video since the Moving to Colorado one. Started watching this one and was initially put off by the length but then I saw the chapters and scrolled through to see what topics you covered. Definitely jumped around to stuff I found interesting, enjoyed your answers so much that I went back to ones I didn't go through and just let the video ride all the way through. Probably will never listen to a podcast with you but I hate podcasting and think it's an incredibly oversaturated market with very little ROI from all sides, both the creator and the consumer. I'm a comedian and every one of my colleagues has a barely podcast that gets 3 listens per episode and it's so annoying.
Thank you for letting me provide this survey.

Here at the end. I'm new to hiking so started by watching some of your gear videos to help. My first hike I way overpacked and am starting to get it down. However still pack too much gear. The main issue for me is confidence that I have the right gear - mostly because I have been hiking in cold climates (Tasmania and NZ in Autumn each time). But I have stayed a fan because I enjoy your films and your style. And your hiking films help keep me motivated. You mentioned adding on stuff at the end of a film, my suggestion based on my own interests would be a gear list for each hike, which would help newer people like me get a feel for what is needed for different climates, lengths of hike etc. Just a quick unpacking of the pack at the end would be good for me, not a full information guide like your annual gear list, just a quick look at all of the gear. Thanks. Keep it up.

If you make a hole in the socks they give you a new one! And forever! For sunglasses I like the blenders better than Goodr: they don’t scratch and they are lighter. Price is the same . For the pants, I'm using VAUDE Scopi II Regular. Great slim pants. As for the shoes, those Salomons have great grip but wear off fast because of the soft compound. I would recommend LaSportiva Bushido II - really great for both trail running and hiking. I love that they give you enough feel of the surface you're walking on. They also have harder compound for longevity.

Hi Kraig, I don't leave comments on the internet. However, I made it to the end of the video and wanted to explain why. I think of you as an online personality of course but it feels much more genuine. Almost like a companion to share stories with. Whether it is hiking, gaming, minimalism, struggling to find a home, etc.. It's all relatable content that when talked about in long form can help facilitate the conversation about my goals and future. So thank you for that long form content you sometimes put in. It doesn't take much of my energy to listen and feel good about what you have to say.

Hey Kraig, thank you for those insights. Not so much in terms of your gear but your thought process in general.
I love your hiking videos. Grand Canyon, Picos de Europe, Tour de Mont Blanc - those were the ones that made me a subscriber. These videos were ideal for my viewing habits in terms of length and the overall aesthatics.
I can see how you wanna pack it all together to save time and bundle it all up and it’s your choice to make. Just from my perspective: I‘d say to keep the videos from becoming longer and longer. 10-15 minutes is kind of the sweetspot for my taste and if I see your video standing at 60 minutes - I might not watch, even knowing you pack different formats together. It’s just that I hate to leave a video halfway done but I also usually don’t want to spent this much time on one single video. I guess new audiences might be scared away by the length as well.
Also - doesn’t it make sense to post a couple more videos to please the algorythm? I know- you shouldn‘t make it only for this matter, but it’d be sad to not see your content being recommended because of it.
I don’t know these are just my two cents. I‘m curious to see how you‘ll move forward and create. I‘ll be here watching :)
Wish you, Mica and Sasha the best of holidays!

I super appreciate your videos and content - and feel you are bang on with the content layout. I always like to hear what you have to say! Plus I get super excited when you do gear/pack videos haha. )Been rocking the Amazon hoodie for over a year now) 🤙!!

I made it to the end! I don’t hike like you, but I enjoy your perspective. I do love running down on my way back from the mountains

😂still here at the very end 👍🏼😁
Interested in hiking but never done it. QA sessions are fascinating for someone looking to purchase gear and solo hiking videos also fascinating to see how others complete a hike. New sub there. Great channel! 👍🏼
