Bro if u haven’t u better take a look at some of the quarantine jams he’s put on his channel, I do the same thing with those, this’ll be added to that list
@@charmassacre3941 I think he means nice change from shred guitarists in fender videos, playing up and down scales very fast. Like Paul Gilbert or Yngwie Malmsteen
I saw him live in Oakland, CA at the Paramount on his Geography Tour. He puts on an AMAZING show live. Do you hear me. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Insane vibes!! My top fav guitarist on earth are: Tom Misch, Mansur Brown, FKJ, Ariel O'Neal, and Melanie Faye. All bring that FIRE!!
Love this -- I wonder what effect Tom is using to make the quacky auto-wah sound on the lead melodic lines? With the symmetry in the modulation, sounds like it must be some kind of autowah effect to me rather than a manual expression pedal control.
i think it should be an Electro Harmonix Q-Tron. It's a 'synth-like' envelope filter, instead of it being an auto-wah that cycles between the heel and toe sound of a traditional wah at a consistent rate, an envelope filter reacts dynamically to your playing. essentially the harder you attack the string, the further open the filter will be and vice-versa. theres a couple of q-tron variants at different prices so generally they're rather accessible. Also, another easy way of achieving this sound is using some of the free plugins that logic pro has, i know Tom has been known to use these plugins specifically to make his music so this also could be the effect used in the video. hope this helps bud :)
You can see a little laptop in the reflect of is guitar , i think is a loop of drums pre-record on a DAW and maybe he record IS guitar with the boss rc-30 on that
Not even lying, I probably listen to this 5-10 times a day on average. Tom’s got such good rhythm, and he has so much talent. So catchy man!
same. legendary.
Bruuh me too he has insane groove

Sameeeeee
Yo same bro I fuckin love this shit
you can hear so many influences, but they're all blended into something so unique.
Chic kinda style. Nile rodgers.
John Mayer and that Bob Marley you could be loved vibe
So much organic playing 😍
the fact that this is an improvised piece doesn't make any sense to me. this is a masterpiece. put it in your album please
I absolutely love it when the bass sort of thing kicks in
Yeah the reverse melody makes it super-groovy, kind of 70s funk!
One of my top 3 guitarists playing one of my top 3 guitars. Perfection
same! who are your other 2 favorite guitarists?
@@miheerthampi343 probably Mark Speer from Khruangbin and Cornell Dupree
+1 for Mark Speer. New to Tom Misch but been watching this daily since it I discovered it.

I love Tom misch music keep doing you🎶🔊🔊🔊🎉🎵😃🥰🎵🔊❤️🙏
What an album it is and always will be man
one of the best tones i've ever heard and not just in this guitar
Haven’t played guitar in months, but Toms guitarclips all over youtube really motivate me to pick it up again:))
Same man definitely have to come back to this shit
You got it young man. Hey, this old man was grooving with ya. God bless you brother.
Tom Misch is probably the most underrated guitarist.
just casually improvises such a sick bassline.. what a musician.
Best artist check-in of them all
much better than i was expecting... nice an groovy..... such a refreshing change from speed scaling... nice one
Have you seen “Tom Misch -Losing my way” there’s a live performance that is really good, cool guitar solo
What is speed scaling? Any good reference vids?

I live for Tom's pronounciation of "WOHH Kinda Music"

One of the greats!
That is the best thing I've listened to since... well yesterday when I listened to Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, but it really hit my left side.
Hey Tom You are the best
I could listen to him say jazz master all day
Tom ti seguo dai tempi di Soundcloud. sei il numero 1 indiscusso 🔥👍🏻
1:38 that bassline tho
Those 6 dislikes must come from Tom Misch himself who made 6 different profiles to play a prank on himself.
Good one..
jaleous peop RAHHH that drive me nuts that looks so fucking easy for him
Tom Misch! I loved your album!😍
so gooood!!! thank you!
Gotta love that tone man
Loving this turtle neck bop! Another gem by Tom, my repeat button is stuck 😉 🙌 🎶

Oh yes. Love it.
Very smooth. Thank you.
very nice , great ...
Layer upon layer…. Isn’t technology married with talent a wonderful thing.
Fresh track in minutes
How does one man, use one guitar, and get ALL that groove? 🤦🏾♂️
🙌
Only a Fender sounds so good through a LOOP PEDAL!
@@robstew6277 angling for a free guitar mate lol?
What is the pedal autowahh use Tom Misch ?? 😮❤❤
That was amazing
Get more artist that play jazzmasters!
Anyone who dislikes stuff like this genuinely has nothing but hate in their heart😣
Would love to get hip on the tech that repeats the different chord grooves,& the various f/x on the lead licks. Thanks
Love it
Wow Man, supergroove.
Bruh that Julie Mangos progression sheeesh
🔥🔥🔥
I think He's doing a great job with the jazzmaster, loop pedal, wah pedal... Nice flow even though 👏
No wah pedal here. Qtron from Electro Harmonix
If somone tells me tha he just came up with that base line on the fly , i'm gonna trhrow up!
The lick at 1:03
Nice
Bro that bass line
did he study jazz? cuz he's so jazzy.
very well! I like!
I WANT TO SEE THE PEDAL BOARD
Why isnt this on spotify...
❤️
is there any way to know his gear ? like pedals and stuff ??
Does anyone know what he uses to create beats that sync up like that? Thanks
Grande
This is how you advertise a guitar
Sick #guitarloop! 🔥
Now if i didn’t already have JMs, I`d want one now......
I thought this was francis from Malcolm in the middle
I see the resemblance 😂
anyone know what pedal Tom uses to get that bass sound?
What effect is being used on the second loop. Sounds like it's got some tape age to it! Very nice.
ian g seeing pictures of Tom’s latest board on insta I’d suggest it’s the Strymon Deco which does exactly as you noted - simulate tape
I agree.. so cool! It might be a zvex lofi junky? I think I see one on his board
@@DenisSurette yeah i reckon its a lofi junky, has a comp setting and the chords sound quite compressed to me as if it's the junky, could be wrong tho
Crazy that digital has to create new software algorithms to recreate the warmth and decay of analog.
What pedal is he using for this nice wavey warm sound ?? I think he uses it as well on tidal wave
Zvex Instant Lofi Junky, on the album he maybe uses the Strymon Deco :)
@@stanjacob_ Are those autowahs?

If you look at photos of his board, it’s a Moog MoogerFooger low pass filter.

auto wah I guess
play that funky music, white boy
Chords anyone? Just can't quite get that quicker sequence he does at the very start on the second track he's looping from around 0.35
Help please 🙏
Ill help you. Give me a specific time stamp so I know exactly what you're asking for.
This part 3:05 holy shit
Can someone help me understand how Tom added the precisions to his loop pedal.
Who tf dislikes this video? Jeez... Can someone who disliked give a reason?
