this was so relatable and i also hope to start filming. i’m glad i came across your video/channel! i loved your video + concept, and the shots were amazing
I love how you’re raw and authentic on this video. I think that’s part of being an artist… the work is never “perfect.” Acceptance of that, and simply being vulnerable about that is a work of art in itself. Keep doing more of this!
As a filmmaker with a dog with separation anxiety, I definitely know how real that struggle is 😅 I have to remind myself that problem solving is apart of the filmmaking process, even when it comes to managing your personal life and its effects on your creative work. Keep it up!
This is so true man. I'm working on a script for a surrealist love story right now and I find myself questioning my own ethos at times. I place expectations on what my work should be, when really at this stage I have no control over such things. The final product will be what it is, and I will try again and again. I saw this vid in my recommended and I knew it would give me a push in the right direction. Thanks for the kind words, and for blessing my eyes
Embrace the shots of your dog! Sometimes our limitations are what makes us unique and can set us apart. I’d lean into the dog shots, film closeups of her etc, because ultimately these videos are about your story and your experience, and she’s part of your story. Everything else you’ll figure out, just keep creating regardless of the hiccups along the way. And I’ll have to take my own advice soon because Im going to start making videos as well and already facing my own challenges lmao

You feel a lot less crazy when you put in the effort required to turn the audience you're performing for in your head, into an actual audience But in all seriousness - There is something. About photography. About videography. Not strictly from a journalistic standpoint but as an artform. You're putting effort into making things present, how you want them to present - Which, for some (Meaning; Me), can be the kick you need to keep things in perspective Not _always_ performing. Not _always_ presenting. But constantly *seeking.* Seeking that next moment when things *get* to present how you'd like them to That to me is optimism. That to me is romance. And it's a romance that isn't wholly reliant on _someone else_ to spur it forward It has a product. You're _left_ with something at the end of engaging with that process which, for those of us who are practically minded- For those of us who demand an evidence to our hope before placing our stake- may come to be seen as the godsend that it truly *can* be That is to say, keep looking for it. No matter where you're at or who exactly you believe yourself to be in the current moment. Capture, not just images; elevated moments- But _marked_ evidence of your existence.. Because no one *could* capture what you do. By nature of your own hand, you 'have'

The act of creating is its own reward. The rest-views, subscribers-follows when you stick with it. This video is proof you’re on the right path.
tbf I get it but I always end up with 'what the fuck for?' lmao

Stumbled across your channel a few mins ago. I get your struggle as I struggle with the same thoughts but your stuff is definitely not garbage!

Totally understand what you mean, sometimes you can make the perfect thing and it still doesn't come out the way you want it
I feel the same about posting and not being satisfied with the result. I guess we just have to trust the process and get better every time.
Dude! I struggle with posting and my perfectionism takes over
