When I came to USA I found that smell at a backyard but I didn't know what it was, then a few months later I feel the same aroma at other property now looking for the flower or bush to get the name, I saw the flower and asked but nobody knew the name and today I found again the flower but this time I took a photo with the Google cam and finally I get the name, that smell is magic

Very beautiful! I never saw a freesia plant. Do the flowers feel thick and waxy when touched, similar to hyacinth? It is hard to tell from online pictures.

No it's quite soft, light waxy

I live in South Texas, can you just leave the bulbs in the pot after the are done flowering? I bought some at the dollar store and seem as a good size and quality, even from the dollar store.

I bought the bulbs from Sam's Club. The box said they grew in partial shade. They sprung up but keep lying over. We've had a lot of cloudy rainy days, so I've been at my wits end, trying to find a solution. I'll try the bone meal, but I'm afraid I've planted them in too shady of a spot.

@@PabloBhattacharjee They'll get some good morning sun but the rest of the day it's pretty shady in my back yard with all the tree's I've got. I just can't seem to get anything to grow because it's so shady. With summer coming on here in Texas, it is going to reach in the 90's this week. 🥵
