Hey guys thanks for watching! Sorry for the poor camera quality this time around...in my haste and excitement to talk about the film, I didn't quite focus the lens enough. Sorry in advance!
Congratulations on your channel. I love your unique camera work in talking into the camera, and the close-up makes me feel like you're in the room. I like the dorm background more than the blank screen behind you. The dorm room behind you gives me a little more sense of who you are, which I believe will lead to the great success of your channel in the end. I will be very interested to follow your channel in the future to see what other genres and information you will cover.
The shoes start as silver in the Wicked stage show too, they become 'ruby' when Elphaba enchants them - they become so hot Nessarose says they're burning, and they remain ruby
Nessarose not being a good sister, is firmly rooted in the Maguire novel, and in the musical the line “no father is not proud of you, no sister acts ashamed” during “The Wizard and I” always tied Nessa to her father in their approach to Elphie for me. They both don’t deserve her.
I'm going to see it on Saturday, but I am so relieved to hear that they kept Nessa as a morally ambigous and complex character and not change her into some saint-like figure, just because she happens to be disabled, to appease modern audiences. I look forward to see her evolve into the persona she has in the second act (and film) and what that looks like, perhaps even more than in the stage version.
Oh my god i just watched it a second time and i cannot get over how tragic NOMTW really is and i also can’t stop thinking about nessaroses build up to being the wicked witch of the east
You really got me thinking with your comment about the “unlimited” theme being a throwback homage. In my mind it seems more akin to 1939’s “Gone with the Wind” theme as opposed to “Over the Rainbow,” thoughts?
I saw it on Monday & I’ve geeking out about it ever since. I’m someone who absolutely loves Wicked & also adore critiquing things to death. I only had 3. For me, this is huge. If you like this comment, I’ll come back after Friday to share what they are. They’re all relatively minor. I just don’t want anything to color the experience watching it for the first time. It’s truly magical. 🩷💚

Great overview. Just saw the movie again, and admired anew how well it all works, specifically the sublime performances of Grande and Erivo.
Holding space for the lyrics of Defying Gravity and for this channel ❤

Personally I like what they did with defying gravity. Her seeing her younger reflection I loved. You got to see more the psychology of her change
im so excitedddddd

Granted, I don’t think anyone would have actually missed sentimental man if they had cut it for the movie.
Suggestions, Arrival, and Nimona which was animated for an Oscar. :)
To not take away Nessa being a terrible sister from the stage show is wild to me.

Who is the movie about
You guys, wicked isn't available in my country💔💔💔I wish I could see it cause the reviews are extraordinary
There are three parts I didn't like... but I can't say. Ugh... spoilers!
well the review embargo is up so technically you are allowed to say
The singing is autotuned according to Wings of Pegasus. That is the dealbreaker.
Some theaters screening separate "Sing Alongs", a la old "Rocky Horror Picture Show" midnight showings. A trend?
amazing review and i completely agree. the wicked film did so much justice to the original musical. 10/10 they ate (esp bowen yang)
safe to say I'm a proud Mania after watching this video
omggggg the devil works fast but movie musical mania works faster
What ever happened to Avenue Q? 😅
I must say i did not love the ending of popular and the orchestration of I'm Not That Girl kinda threw me off but other than that I liked it
Did you watch it in 3-D? If not, you seriously missed out. 3-D is the only way to watch it.
I have to say as much as I love the broadway I think I like the movie more 😅 my sister agrees
Gonna say it…. Cynthia and Ari Oscar nominations for Best Acress & Supporting Actress respectively. They were phenomenal!!
No it’s not
yes it is, the reviews speak for themselves
