Being a lifelong Broncos fan, I really appreciate how great of a running back Terrell Davis is. He is exactly what John Elway needed for his whole career.
Timing and luck seemed to fall in his favor a lot in his career...And he was very talented. His biggest talent was his vision. Back then Denver ran a "Zone" blocking scheme and it created lanes for Running Backs. His vision allowed him to bend a run going to the right, back to the left across field. This was new to the league. I remember because my high school football team went to zone blocking back then during this time and our running backs were always doing the same thing. I love how Terrell carries himself as well, great guy!
Not top 5, but by position, possibly top 50 (by metrics we'd also have to use for guys like Bo Jackson, whose careers were overly short in relation to talent and production. T.D. got in for the same reason Andre Reed got in, being on a solid, championship winning team, with a guy like John Elway (Jim Kelly as it relates to Reed)
I love this series. I'm on a binge watch. This is about number 12 or 15 I love the insight into the human idea . The stories of the Perseverance And the dedication and desire to be the best. For a multitude of reasons.💯👍
And the only one with less then 100y was his first against the Jaguars when he had 91 in only 14 carries. Mike Shanahan said he is still pissed off because he called too few runs in the second half.
TD has 1140 yds and 12 td’s in 8 playoff games. That’s 2280 yds and 24 td’s in a 16 game season. That’s why he’s in the HOF. Greatest post season RB ever. As a big John Riggins fan, who was likewise a monster in the postseason, thats not easy to admit, but I gotta give it to TD.
Another inspiring episode! What an amazing guy - what an amazing attitude! ‘Never been military, but i salute you a mile high here from Pittsburgh, PA!
I remember watching the 1st pre season game of TD. Being a 49'er fan .... I wash shocked at how fast TD got down the field and made such a great tackle ... I then told myself ..... Denver would be dumb to not play him!
His bid for the Hall of Fame (duration wise) was solidified by that tackle and the injury. They like a guy better (if he's a tweener for the Hall) who went out on his shield, than someone who had some down years due to drop off.
If you think about it.. if Elway had Davis early in his career.. the Broncos would have won a few more superbowls. It really goes to show how important it is to have a running attack, even in todays game
Think John Elway had contract restrucerd so the Broncos could draft players like Davis, with him, Elway finally seemed to have a strong ball carrier, so he didnt have to scramble as much
Davis was a 5th round pick that was on special teams. He was on a rookie contact. He didn’t starts till he made that hit ion special teams. That $ prob went to Defense players and WRs
You'd think back when Thurman Thomas of the Buffalo Bills couldn't find his helmet, that a STAR PLAYER at the very least, would have a backup helmet 😂😂😂
Joe , good program , well-done . However , I do have a criticism : those foolish , insignificant questions at the end of your interviews trivialize the interviews . Totally unnecessary .
don't get me wrong Terrell Davis was a great rb but for me I don't think he should be in HOF to me a HOF player needs more than 3 very good seasons, pretty much that what Terrell Davis have 3 very good seasons that is it. and I think he only have like 7600 total rushing yards. to me that not HOF stats. nothing against Terrell Davis I just don't agree with it.

One of my favorite running backs and HUMAN BEINGS!!!😊😊😊😊

That picture of him and his brothers a pops with a colt 45 is as American as it gets!! Good stuff!
He was what the Broncos needed to finally get over the top and win the super bowl. Thanks TD.
It was Elway that needed him the most,
My childhood hero. You are appreciated TD 🫡.
I Miss the mile high salute!!
TD's career is criminally underrated. He should be spoken of in the top 5 all time.
I 100 percent agree

I don't think you can have 3 great years and be top 5.
GTFO. It’s an embarrassment that’s he’s in the HOF
Underrated to a non broncos fan. WITHOUT TD the Broncos don’t go back to back in 97-98. He has always been top notch. Die hard broncos ham here

Terrell Your Mom Was A saint . If you read this awesome job and God Bless you
Rushed for 100+ yds in 7 of his 8 playoff games.
That’s crazy.

Played like a Savage..watch his runs. My gosh
I can’t stop smiling watching this. Watching this Bronco team is where I am would be able to hide from my parents fighting. Thank you TD!

People don't realize he is the greatest postseason running back of all time.
oh yeah!
Top 5 for sure. Emmitt, Franco, Terrell.
@@fairlanemuscleJohn Riggins, Terrell Davis, Thurman Thomas, Emmett Smith, Larry Csonka (I guess a Fullback, but still)
I went to Morse High on Skyline Dr, TD went to Lincoln High, Marcus Allen era at Lincoln era had already gone.

Why is it so rare now to hear athletes speak in clear, good, English like this man does?
Top 5 draft steal of all time. Pick 196.
Me and Terrel share same hobby...favorite activity...sleeping !!!
Haha well done.

"Without TD, we don't win any Superbowls. That's fact." - Shannon Sharpe
Without that First Jacksonville loss they would have had those 3 in a row. That team was as strong as the two SB winning teams, if not stronger!
619 in The Building
619 Fulton then Oferral Jr high then Morse High here!
If TD hadn't sat out 8 quarters in that '98 season, he'd have rushed for over 2500 yards

And what does Elway do before walking away from Terrell as he’s on his knees with a migraine? Pat him on the head (helmet). 🤦🏽♂️
The last great running back.
How do you forget your migraine medicine lol. I figured there are like 10 coaches on top of that
