I have the same problem as you. It's good to see that there is a way to potentially deal with it because this has been driving me crazy. I was curious to know what you did to improve your situation in terms of posture while working. I've found that my split keyboard setups seem to work for me only if the my elbow is closer to straight (as opposed to the conventional wisdom of 90 degrees). Would be great to hear more about what worked for you
Search Olivier Girard on RUclips. He has a ton of videos about chair, desk, and posture ergonomics. My favorite tip was learning how to sit properly and using my lower back muscles, which reduces load on your shoulder blades.
thanks for the test, i've just buy this glove80 keyboard and i learn how to type correctly before it's delivered (for now 40-50 wpm after a week), hope it will help with my pain. (sorry for my poor english i'm french.
If you have pain in your wrist and hand, it will definitely help. Be patient learning how to type on it because it is a massive change but it is worth it.
When did you start feeling pain / tingly sensations? And what seems to have caused it? I am a developer who is looking to prevent rsi issues and went down the split keyboard rabbit hole (havent bought one, still researching) I got some symptoms of Rsi in my right arm and chest where the chest muscle connects to the sternum. Due to excessive switching from keyboard to mouse (on a full size keyboard) after about 6 months i could feel a small bump on my sternum. I assume it was a bone spur from constant pulling from my muscle. That’s when i learned vim and have used it ever since. Not using the mouse really helped. And you seem to be proficient on both glove80 and normal keyboards. I was under the impression that once you switch to ortholinear (?) you make more mistakes on row staggered keyboard but you proved that wrong
I talk about my cubital tunnel syndrome more in my other videos but I felt the tingly ness about 6 months ago after grinding leetcode too much every day for 3 months straight day and night. I havent heard about rsi chest issues, but I would guess its because your arms are not should width apart when typing so a split keyboard should help. Finally, it just takes practice to switch between ortholinear and regular staggered.
@@TheMuteAWN do you use vim? I adopted vim and also changed my layout to dvorak. Dvorak did not help much because i kept making mistakes and frequently hitting backspace was making things way worse. Vim was the only thing that stuck. Now i adopted neovim and it’s awesome
@@lian1238I've used vi for over 10 years :P. I spoke about other keyboard layouts in my other Glove80 video. For me it's not worth to learn since I still use a regular laptop along with my Glove80
I already knew how to touch type so about 1 week to get to 40 wpm then 1 more week after that to get to my usual 90 wpm. I had to practice every day and grind monkey type.

How do you press command and alt together on the glove? right thumb + left thumb or just squish two keys with one thumb?
I share my layout in my other Glove80 video. CMD alt I would use right and left thumb. CMD shift I would use my left thumb for both.

UHK v2 with trackpoint, without the wrist rest, keyboard close to you, type with floating hands -- will help you I think.
Roughly how long do you estimate it took you to recover from cubital tunnel syndrome?
6 months after using the Glove80 and wearing the elbow brace every night
How long did it take you to get used to the Glove80?
