Great video. I made my granddaughter your Celeste dress, she loves it so do her friends. I made it in black with white overlocking. Her friends say it’s like Wednesday Adams. She’s 18. She wears it with chunky lace up boots.
Im sewing clothes for summer here in Australia. I dont know how this video came into my feed but it was so pleasant having this video play in the background especially when the hours slogged by as i sewed ❤
I always find myself smiling and laughing out loud during your marathon videos. I can't tell you how timely this awesome video was to lighten my mood!!! If I must pick a fav, it would be the yellow jacket, mainly because yellow is one of my all-time favorite colors. And, it did turn out so cute on you, as did all of the outfits! You are so talented!!!
Great video. All of the garments are beautiful. The work is so neat and professional looking. It’s amazing how you do these marathons. Can’t wait to see another. ❤❤❤
I was just introduced to your Chanel and very impressed by your garment choices….classics….even your color choices are very nice….like in 20 yrs from now you could pull those items out to wear and they would look nice. The pink corduroy dress was darling and gingham has made a very big come back. And the yellow jacket was pure wizardry and the cream colored denim skirt w the pine green top stitching was very pretty…loved it all
Watched you for the first time this evening…..so glad I did! You are an inspiration to this 67 year old nana! VERY neat and - professional looking work! I Thanks for sharing!
The pink dress is Sooo cute. I love that you used pink. I recently unearthed a bunch of pink fabric probably from the 60's and 70's so nice to know pink is still in. 🥰
I was so excited seeing a Lydia Naomi sewing marathon video pop up in my subscriptions. I love watching you sew. 😊 I really like the skirt and dress - I hope you'll make patterns for them. I have lots of corduroy and denim in my stash that wants to be used. By the way, I love your "theme" music! 😃
You are adorable. All these pieces turned out so good. You have a knack for pairing the right fabrics and colors with each design. I am a fan of corduroy for fall and winter. It gives soft velvet vibes to me.
Such a lively inspiring video! Your sewing studio is gorgeous. Could you do a studio tour? And how do you manage to get so much things done!? What is that large brown paper hanging behind the mirror!? It has so many small clothes' stickers or cut outs! What are they!? Do you plan the whole year of sewing like that! Omg! Thank u so much for sharing this video. ❤❤💜💜🤎🤎
I just happed on this video, I wish this had been in my feed sooner, I simply love her personality, this video really made me smile and laugh out loud a few times, great sewing jobs too!
You made some great pieces. Love your enthusiasm for sewing every day. I was so inspired to sew along with you that I made one of your Chillax Sweatpants and hoodie as I watched your video.
Loved the pretty checked trim on the pink corduroy dress! The yellow wool was a pretty choice, too. The pants will be nice for fall and the denim skirt, too. Thanks for sharing your sewing projects.
Hi!! I love everything you made- especially that white skirt. *chefs kiss* Can I request that you make the pattern with the corduroy next time in denim? Just living my sewing dreams vicariously through you and your talents! Lol. Love ya!
Excellent sewing, Lydia Naomi! I like all the garments you made. And I am impressed with the attention to detail and the fabric choices!!! You Go, Gurl!!!
EACH PIECE IS AWESOME! 💝 THAT JACKET IS SO EXTRA. 🔥🔥 I LOVE IT! Did you say you found that wool in a thrift store? Oh my goodness. Where did you get the pattern for the jacket? Great job.
These pieces are so pretty and I love how you styled them with the shoes. :o) Knit boots are so chic. I love the dress version of the Betsy! I think a long vest version or sleeveless dress version of it (kinda like how it looks at 6:00) would be soooo cool too! (I'm in my vest era rn) Thanks as always!
All your makes are so pretty! Especially like the pink dress! Will you be releasing a pattern for that dress in the future? Also, do you use the thicker top stitching thread when you topstich, or just normal thread?
I don't have plans to release that trust but who knows I might! I do like using a slightly heavier weight thread first top stitching especially if it's a heavier fabric it will show up better :)
Very good video! It was interesting how even someone with your skill set can have small hiccups with projects and not get frustrated. I get soooooo frustrated when that happens because of the set back and it’s usually a rookie move that just happened because of moving too fast. Anyway, thanks for the tip in regards to the mitered (if that’s how you spell it) corner. That’s a way better finish. I love how all the projects came out. That was a lot of work. Thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, I think it's because I have made these mistakes so many times before that I know what to do. My reaction also depends on my mood or fatigue so sometimes i get really annoyed haha!
Just finished watching the above video. All projects are super cute and my favorite is the dress! I have a question: how did you make your cutting table and what size is it. It looks perfect. I’m 6’ tall so I need a custom table so I don’t have to bend so much and I’ve been trying to decide how to make one and what materials to use. In the video it looks like maybe the top is a couple butcher block counters? Any details would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes they are! I wear my white sneakers from them all the time, bare foot! Never had an issue. I'm usually a leather shoe person because I know that leather shoes are breathable and durable but these definitely are great in that respect. I haven't worn the boots for long yet so you could ask me in a month or two, if you're still hesitant, what I think of the breathability 🤗
The jacket is at lydianaomi.com its called the Betsy Utility, the pants are coming in a few weeks, the skirt will likely come in the spring and I am not so sure about the dress :)

lol I love how nonchalant your hubby was about matching the zipper.
Also, ever since I used your Vivaia code last year I am always wearing them!
Haha he doesn't understand the significance and sheer amazement of matching that colour haha
Absolutely loved it ❤
A husband that can get you what you need from the fabric store is a KEEPER girl! lol

Love it all! Where do you source your fabric from? I’m struggling to know where I can find quality materials to make my clothes
Most of those Fabrics were from blackbird Fabrics with the exception of the coat which was entirely thrifted! 😊
@@LydiaNaomi yes the wool jacket! I am obsessed with it!! I am buying the pattern today so I can make my own. You’re videos are so inspirational!

Love the pink cord dress, I saw you didn’t like the collar as much, could you try making it next time with a collar stand (like on a man’s shirt)
I like that it doesn't have a stand because I only like the stands on shirts. I just didn't like the facing fabric that was showing 😜 picky me haha
Great makes
What pattern was the dress??
I made the pattern myself :)
well done
Nice work!
Are Vivia shoes breathable? Plastic bottle composition makes me think no.
Yes they are! I wear my white sneakers from them all the time, bare foot! Never had an issue. I'm usually a leather shoe person because I know that leather shoes are breathable and durable but these definitely are great in that respect.
