I am absolutely thrilled to have discovered Craig's podcast just now. Craig, if you read this, I think many thousands would love to hear you continue to have conversations like this. Maybe millions.
Most podcasts are, for me, background noise that I pop in and out of while working through the day. That is not a bad thing or a criticism... I love listening to them as I would a radio show. But every so often, one pulls me in and demands my full attention. This, however, was so much more than even that: not just full attention but laughing, grinning, thinking, pondering, and riding the ride right along with two people I have so much respect for. Complete mental participation in the conversation. Literally feeling like a third participant to this and not wanting to be anywhere else in the moment. This has to be, for me, the best pod cast episode I have seen. Thank you, thank you, thank you. More!! Please!
I think the thing that Adam and Tested proved is that there is a real demand for real reality TV. Not a show where you setup situations and interactions on a premise. But shows where people just film and edit together parts of their work that are interesting each day. For example you I bet Craig could probably compose a 5-30 min video every day about just making the podcast and standup performances. Just going over how you are composing a set, meeting the venue people, showing how you pick what to wear, etc. People want to see highlights of what it takes to really do a job, and then they want it in frequent small doses they can consume on a small break. Just to inspire them, or give them a change of pace to see someone else work. Like Adam said a lot of fans put Adam’s work up to just have someone who is there virtually working besides them.
I need a list of alllll the books they mentioned. Fantastic conversation. [Update - made a list!] "Burr" by Gore Vidal (16:50) "Creation" by Gore Vidal (16:31) "Seveneves" by Neal Stephenson (45:51) "Second Sleep" by Robert Harris (46:45) "Field Reports on Planets Around the Universe" series by Doris Lessing (34:24) "Hollywood" by Gore Vidal (36:32)
I Highly recommend everything by Neal Stephenson - from Snow Crash to Termination Shock. Second Sleep sounds intriguing. One day I'll read some of those Gore Vidal's too.
As a mad fan of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, discovering this podcast on the first day of 2025 is a great way to start the year. This brings me… Joy. Cheers! //Rick
The look on my 4 year old nephew's face when I told him that Utah Raptor was my favorite dinosaur and he didn't know that Utah Raptor and Velociraptor were different species was an absolute treat of a memory!
I've been waiting for a Craig Ferguson podcast! I remember actually staying up to watch The Late Late show because I knew I would always laugh and enjoy the show! Adam Savage is also awesome!
WTF why did it take RUclips 2 freaking months to nudge my nose into the Craig Ferguson puddle of yellowish greatness? I watched like every compilation of "Everytime Craig Ferguson did something" in the last 3 months. I´d expect the YT algorithm to understand "Oh he likes to watch Craig talking, maybe I should show him the new podcast hosted by Craig?"
Because these monsters are pulling strings and the only ones who get through are the ones they can use. Craig's 38k subs really highlight this, he shouldn't be less than 3.8m without even breaking a sweat.
Craig, at around 4:00 in you said this show is nothing anybody's going to be excited about. I can say that as an old fan who JUST found out you're doing this podcast on youtube, I could not be MORE excited. Immediate subscribe, immediate like, and I'm downright delighted to finally get to hear you speak and swear and think uncensored. I've seen you perform live on your recent tour, but THIS is my jam. THANK YOU.
Craig, thank you for providing so much "comfort" entertainment for so many years. You're always fun and an absolute joy to watch. Keep doing what you do and thank you for being you! 😊🌎♥️🕺🐕🎭🃏🐍
Can confirm what Adam says around 9:40, I have an iPad holding in my garage shop SPECIFICALLY to bring the iPad out there and put on a Tested video while I work. Working is 25% less fun without that.
I love both of these guys. Television isn't the same without them. Coincidentally, as I was listening to Adam talk about Freedom 7 and the Space Shuttle, I was driving past the NASA Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL. I don't live here/drive by this frequently so it feels even more fortuitous.
A very accurate title for the podcast - truly joyful and the sort of conversation you wish you could join in with. A dinner party with these guys would be a privilege and an education.
Love this talk of faith…and doubt…and Jung. This is part of the reason I was pulled to be a “fan” of Craig all those many years ago. Likewise, I have been drawn to Adam over the years. Once, years ago, I had a very lucid dream about the two of them, and some kind of crazy stuff with gangsters, and kidnappers, and motorcycles. I still get a chuckle about it when it comes to mind…talk about Jungian! Of course, now, I may have to read some Gore Vidal…It’s so much fun to be an elder person now. We can research and learn and love and deep dive into so many beautiful things, (and ugly, if we want), and there is nobody shaking a finger and telling me “no, no, no”…The River of the Collective Unconscious! Wow. I love you guys. Still. Always.
33:40 the comment "revolution will not occur during a snowstorm" reminded me of working a concert in Montana. The venue was a sports facility that supported events including hockey. The secutity chief told me that if a crowd gets out of hand, they just power up the chillers under the floor, stating "it's hard to stay agressive when your feet are cold". Brilliant!
Logged into RUclips to see if there was something in my recommendations that I genuinely wanted to listen to while gaming. My excitement when I saw this in the top line was, and still is genuine.
JOY! I am so glad the algorythm fairies helped me find you. Thank you for an wonderful conversation. I have followed Adam and the Tested channel for a while. Enjoy working on my projects (for our local computer club or our Jammers group) and play YT channels. Thank you, Craig. This one feels oh so good. Hope you have a most Merry Christmas and warm, wonderful holidays. ❄🎄💙🌻💙🎄❄
I just put an hold on the library copy of "The Second Sleep." Craig made it seem amazing. I've been a science fiction reader 10 years longer than Craig has been alive; and I had never heard of a book with that concept.
Love both of these great men. Thanks, Craig, for doing this podcast! Btw according to the interwebs, the quote, "Society is three meals away from chaos," is attributed to Vladimir Lenin. He may have been speaking not only of food but of control and subjection of the masses.
Thank you Craig for not changing since ever. Addict here and good to know and look up to one who has found success in all you do. Thank you for inspiring me. That said Adam is a Gem. Found the maker over lock down and his skills introduced me to Laura kampf and another man who made a kendama... one of my best gifts to folks. Thanks for being an amazing influence to generations. GO ORANGE.
FINALLY, all hail the algorithm for sending me here, I only watched the late late show clips for the last decade and it took 2 months to finally see this! Alphabet fails so hard so many ways. Rumble will surpass in a couple years and I can't wait.
Enjoyed this immensely. You two are pretty high up there in terms of humans alive that most earn my admiration, and this made me think harder than I had in a long while, (specially in wake of what's happening at the moment in California), made me worry, made me laugh, made me write down books and bucket list items, made me go "I knew that was their take on this matter" many times, and made me stay the course. Thank you for speaking your mind, I wish this could be 8 hours long and expanding on everything you mentioned. Stay safe.
Thanks, Craig and Adam...This was one of the best visits I have experienced in all the years of social media addiction. :) My actions are all I have. Thanks for that!
This was one of the deepest, inspirational videos/podcasts I've seen in a long, long time. Craig, I've always been a fan of your clever innuendo and humor. Now I'm a fan of your deep thinking and expression thereof. Thanks!
i could listen to hours of you and Adam Savage just talking about random stuff. Also loved that Adam was quickly writing down the interesting books you mentioned. 😊
On the topic of religion and belief, an interesting proposition that I've heard from multiple people is the definition of Faith as the belief in a proposition in the absences of definitive proof. i.e. that the proposition can be neither proven OR disproved with current human perception, knowledge, comprehension, etc.
This was an amazing conversation, I didn’t expect you two to come together, but I’m so happy you guys did. A podcast with you two as co host would be amazing. You guys have great back and forwards. You both have curious personalities and have deep thoughts that come from time and wisdoms and commonalities in your lives with Hollywood and entertainment.
This was wonderful! Philosophical and intellectually stimulating! At first, I thought 'do i want to listen to these 2 talk for 50 minutes?' Answer: YES.
two independent inquisitive minds, and on top of it all two of my heroes!! What a fantastic interview and what a gift from YT to send Craig's podcast my way!!! New subscriber but an old fan!!
Wow, this is so incredible! I was a huuuuge fan of Mythbusters for most of its run and watched it voraciously, and I was really sad to see it go. (And I'm currently a fan of Adam's 'Tested' channel, even though I don't build things.) And I was a huuuuuge fan of Craig's 'Late Show' during the end of its run and watched it as much as possible, and I was really sad to see it go. So learning that these two guys are good friends, and watching this interview, was pure delight! I feel like I even got a rich and tasty philosophical nugget out of this that could have a profound effect on my life moving forward.
The best (near) hour of RUclips, ever. I Love both these guys and miss their respective old shows. But I can well understand their relief to be away from that. I'd be happy to eavesdrop on them weekly. I'm 16 years older than Craig. You fellas have plenty of productive years left!
The executives might not have cared about the first 55 minutes of the TV hour, but we were glued to every single minute of MythBusters, and every other second of every project you've done, whether we knew it or not.
Craig. Top Shelf, lad! You’re simply the best and this interview with Adam is stellar. I watch very little “network” television and I agree with your assessment of how they do business anymore. I can't believe I just found Craig Ferguson's podcast. It's wonderful.
Totally agree! I just found it today as well and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Made a bunch of notes on what books to read too.
Me too! I'm so happy to be here! And so annoyed I didn't know it existed already.
I know your joy completely! ME TOO!! HI Craig! So happy that I can really laugh again
Me too! Now we just need Josh Robert Thompson voicing a sidekick and a conan-like podcast studio, and bam craig is famous again.
Right?? What a day to be alive!!
I am absolutely thrilled to have discovered Craig's podcast just now. Craig, if you read this, I think many thousands would love to hear you continue to have conversations like this. Maybe millions.
all I can say is ditto. exactly my thought.
i loved him for years and years tv Talk shows lately the YT shorts have been sustaining me but now
......i am complete
This is a phenomenal chat. I'm kicking myself I just missed Craig at the Blue Note.
Another regular Adam Savage viewer discovering Craig's podcast. Incredible
I fuckin love Craig Ferguson and I fuckin love Adam Savage. What an awesome pair you guys make, absolutely loved the conversation ❤
Craig is hands down one of my fav interviewers.
He needs some new blood to let him own his podcast and I promise you he will get so viral
The best! Like, not even close.
WTF? Craig has a RUclips channel?? And he's friends with Adam Savage? Craig is the king of interviewer and this one is awesome.

[Update - made a list!]
"Burr" by Gore Vidal (16:50)
"Creation" by Gore Vidal (16:31)
"Seveneves" by Neal Stephenson (45:51)
"Second Sleep" by Robert Harris (46:45)
"Field Reports on Planets Around the Universe" series by Doris Lessing (34:24)
"Hollywood" by Gore Vidal (36:32)
Thank you so much! Came running to the comments for a reading list ❤
@CarrieJerry You're welcome! I'm looking forward to the sci-fi ones and trying out Gore Vidal.
I Highly recommend everything by Neal Stephenson - from Snow Crash to Termination Shock. Second Sleep sounds intriguing. One day I'll read some of those Gore Vidal's too.
For those looking, the Dorris Leasing book is called Shikasta and part of her Canopy's in Argos series.
@@slayerat5280 thanks!
I love these two so much individually, and they both mean so much to me. Having them be friends is so special.
This exactly. What a wholesome conversation to have witnessed.
Craig’s late night show is so underrated. His back and forths with Geoff Peterson are just hysterical.
A wise man once told me " It's all about attitude n gratitude my friend." I now use these words as my mantra . Craig's the best !
As a mad fan of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, discovering this podcast on the first day of 2025 is a great way to start the year. This brings me… Joy. Cheers! //Rick

Two of my favorite people talking about life, the universe and everything.
42!
God, Craig, I've missed you and your humor so much! Delighted to find this channel randomly!
WTF why did it take RUclips 2 freaking months to nudge my nose into the Craig Ferguson puddle of yellowish greatness? Such a lovely conversation. I really like when Craig taps into his philosophy knowledge. It makes me read more books.

72 episodes in and I just found out the legendary Craig Ferguson has a podcast?
I was gutted when Craig ended his show, so this is so great to find this podcast.
Man. Im happy this popped up. Haven't watched late night talk shows since he was on. Glad to hear him interview again
Craig, thank you for providing so much "comfort" entertainment for so many years. You're always fun and an absolute joy to watch. Keep doing what you do and thank you for being you! 😊🌎♥️🕺🐕🎭🃏🐍

Two of my favorite people in an interview? Hell yes!
Loved Mythbusters! Adam looks the same! :D
Damn! I didn't know this was recorded! Been listening since the podcast started, but i would have rather been watching it
Wow, did not think you two dudes together would be the conversation I needed right now
I'm so excited to see the videos appearing on YT. Thank you algorithm for finally popping it up again!
Wow! Two of my favorites, together in one video. What a nice treat for the soul.
Thank you both!
A very accurate title for the podcast - truly joyful and the sort of conversation you wish you could join in with. A dinner party with these guys would be a privilege and an education.
Love when old friends get together
It's so nice to listen to friends talk about what they've read and are reading. I feel like we don't do that much anymore.

I did NOT expect the conversation these two had. Incredible conversation, keep the podcasts coming, both of you.
Thanks, Craig and Adam...This was one of the best visits I have experienced in all the years of social media addiction. :) My actions are all I have. Thanks for that!

This is the best podcast I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. It feels like it was near tailored for me. 😂 thanks to you both.
three minutes in and I'm in tears laughing. What a treat!
I never get tired of this guy hosting people
i could listen to hours of you and Adam Savage just talking about random stuff. Also loved that Adam was quickly writing down the interesting books you mentioned. 😊

Brilliant episode, absolutely one of my absolute favourites
This was incredible! They touched so many things that I think about and ruminate on! I felt so connected, like I was a part of the conversation!
This was an amazing conversation, I didn’t expect you two to come together, but I’m so happy you guys did. A podcast with you two as co host would be amazing. You guys have great back and forwards. The robot?
This was wonderful! Philosophical and intellectually stimulating! At first, I thought 'do i want to listen to these 2 talk for 50 minutes?' Answer: YES.
Two people i could spend endless hours listening to, thanks for this.
two independent inquisitive minds, and on top of it all two of my heroes!! What a fantastic interview and what a gift from YT to send Craig's podcast my way!!! New subscriber but an old fan!!
Adam describing Friendship 7, made me think of the MST3K episode, Monster a go-go😁 "Douglas was short, pear shaped and stood the whole way!"
Wow, this is so incredible!
I was a huuuuge fan of Mythbusters for most of its run and watched it voraciously, and I was really sad to see it go.

I cant believe this exists and i didn't know.
I was (re)watching all the late late shows and never got recommended this. :(
Ima watch them all now. :D
The best (near) hour of RUclips, ever. I Love both these guys and miss their respective old shows. But I can well understand their relief to be away from that. I'd be happy to eavesdrop on them weekly. I'm 16 years older than Craig. You fellas have plenty of productive years left!
What a wonderfully surprising conversation!
Glad we've got Craig in this media format!🤗💜
I could watch these two chat every week and never get tired of it.
The executives might not have cared about the first 55 minutes of the TV hour, but we were glued to every single minute of MythBusters, and every other second of every project you've done, whether we knew it or not.
Loved this! Thanks guys. ☮️☺️🙏🏻
That was wonderful, thank you for doing this
Fantastic episode🎉🎉🎉🎉
Just found this...
I absolutely love your work
Amazing. Part 2, please!!!
Adam is such a fun person to listen to, fantastic interview! Like others here, I had no idea Craig Ferguson had a RUclips channel. Subscribed!
Craig. Top Shelf, lad!
You’re simply the best and this interview with Adam is stellar. I watch very little “network” television and I agree with your assessment of how they do business anymore.
Your Scottish nature is evident and myself a Yankee once removed from my grandad who left Glasgow at age 21 to come to the US to work on the Boston Railroad from 1930’s to the 1970’s. I learned some “interesting” expressions from him.
God is not an “angry man on a cloud with lightning bolts”. God is within us all if we just believe and the interesting thing about that is it’s personal to you. And to me. And to anyone/everyone who does. Not that you make it whatever you like. And doubt is part of it but miracles happen, big and small, everywhere, every day.
Still, you be you, mate. Nice to witness the conversation and to know how you both see things in their relative contexts.
These two need to make this a recurring show! Fantastic conversation by two fantastic individuals. Thanks for this.
Wonderful, thanks for posting this 'chat' 😊
Wait, Craig has a podcast? Finally YT recommended something worth listening to. Dude, I miss your show SO much.
Edit: holy crap my reading list just grew exponentially.
Glad to be your 101st subscriber Craig!
What a beautiful conversation, glad to have come across this.
OMG. The GROUND you guys covered! What a couple of geeks!
Went to the Phoenix show... it was amazing. Thanks for a great show!
Hey Craig, I am fascinated by the artwork behind you. I would have put it in my suitcase. Oh... great interview, as always. Your expansive interests make you an optimal party guest.
Thank you for this, entertaining and informative.
❤
We missed ye Craig, hope this blows up and respect for not censoring on this over-sanitized platform
This was a very enjoyable and relaxing conversation.. it’s these conversations that I feel less alone .. thank you gentlemen
Two of my favorite celebrities
A diner party with Craig and Adam would awesome!
These are great interviews. Adam and Tested got me through a tough time during Covid. Must read some Jung! 😊
This was already my favorite episode, then Savage spoke about Seveneves! One of my favorite books!
What a terrific conversation between two of my favorite entertainers! Regarding your topic of living in the world and measuring things:
Q: Hey, do you know anything about quantum physics?
A: Maybe.
But it offers these life lessons:
1. You can know where you are, or where you're going, but never both. (Uncertainty principle)
2. Everything depends on how you look at it. (Observer effect)
3. Every red light turns green, if you drive fast enough. (Doppler effect)
effortlessly funny and i just got here
This made my day, thanks gents!
Loved the "second sleep" . Good taste in books !!
This is amazing!
What an awesome conversation. Please do another one again soon!
I'm overjoyed to see The Ferg on my screen once again
Tow wonderful and genuine minds together!
