They refined their accessibility starting with the album The Fall of Ideals. Overcome and For We Are Many have also been mentioned and are great albums. My personal favorite, however, is This Darkened Heart, which preceded The Fall of Ideals. It's a bit rougher around the edges in the best kind of way. This song is a great return to form for them.
It sounds like classic ATR with a fresh sound, but they lost their guitarist in a possible homicide, case is still ongoing (as far as I know). I would recommend going back to their older stuff like Fall Of Ideals, Overcome and For We Are Many just to get a full scope but I'm glad you are checking this band out and keep rocking on
Nostalgia at its finest. saw them, staind, slipknot, chevelle, and drowning pool in little rock arkansas in 2009 after graduating high school. edgefest Cooper farms. rip Oli Herbert. brings back memories. ONE OF THE GOD FATHERS OF THEIR TIME. STILL MY ALL TIME FAVORITES. lol
Phil Labonte is an absolute menace with the mic. He can do full demon to sounding like an angel and it’s like 🫣 🫠 But to make an absolute banger like this after 6 years, after the death of their original guitarist ( Oli) and departure of their long time drummer is unbelievable. The bass player I believe used to be in the band back in 2003 or so. But yeah if they’re a new band to you, I highly recommend listening to Fall of Ideals, overcome and This darkened heart. I also believe the riff of the guitar is similar to the one in the song Not alone. Seems like a tribute to their former lead guitarist Oli.
One of my favorite bands and one of the Godfathers of the Metalcore genre. "Two Weeks" and "This Calling" are bangers! "What if I was nothing" is a slower song of theirs but is also great.
Been a fan of All That Remains for years. Also loved their work when they had a female band member. They are considered a Metalcore band from Springfield Massachusetts. They formed in 1998.They have 9 studio LPS,A live CD and DVD.And they have sold over a million records Worldwide!
5:21 if you like songs that switch back and forth, here's some of their best songs to check out : -Six -The Deepest Gray -This Calling -Whispers -Two Weeks -Victory Lap -Fuck Love -Everything's Wrong -Blood I Spill -Broken Here's some of their softer/more mellow songs worth checking out as well : -Regret Not -What if I was nothing -Just tell me something -Alone In The Darkness
Ive been a fan for a long time. The most popular and important album they have is "The Fall of Ideals". "Overcome" came out after that and was when they got more mainstream play with the song Two Weeks. After "Overcome" there was the album "For We Are Many" which is the spiritual sucessor to "The Fall of DIeals". A War You Cannot Win and Madness have some good singles but not the best albums. "The Order of Things" and "Victim of the New Disease" are when they start to pick it up. This is their first album in 6 years and they are not religious. Phil is a libertarian and includes those ideals in his lyrics as well as emotions from relationships. They are my favorite band and I could talk about them all day. There are a lot of songs that I coudl list from each album to check out but as with all music what I like might not be what you like. Glad you enjoyed them and look forward to seeing more videos of you reviewing them.
I hope Killswitch Engage is on the horizon. You should check out songs "End of Heartache" because that song has absolutely amazing vocals! and "My Curse" and "Arms of Sorrow" are great too
Another thing we seem to agree on with our music likes, the growling/screaming in music. This is a great example where mixing it up is great, but if its all growling/screaming not usually the type of music I will listen too very often.
Everyone said everything I want to say about ATR just to add. Phil Labonte the lead singer is a frequent guest on timcast irl and is an anti communist and counter revolutionary who had the best takes on all political issues. He is the man. But besides that I'm commenting to add to the algorithm because your reaction was great and engaging and let's help!! It's free. New sub here !!
So in 2018 they lost their long time guitarist Olí Herbert. So in 2018 they got the current guitarist Jason Richardson and he’s amazing and really a fantastic homage to Olí and his sound with a more modern current twist. Phil Labonte is the vocalist and a true OG and he’s got amazing range and cleans with his devilish screams. The drummer just joined this year and I forget his name but he’s also new, and the bassist is new too I believe and their rhythm guitarist has been there forever. Actually I believe the bassist was with them in the start of their career and left and then was asked to come back by Phil, someone correct me if I’m wrong. So yeah it’s been since 2018 without any new music, I LOVE THIS SONG, it’s amazing and new with that classic sound, they are one of the godfathers of Metalcore, and if you wanna go listen to more their album THE FALL OF IDEALS, is their best IMO, welcome to ATR 🤘🏻
Matt Deis is the 2nd Bassist he replaced Dan Egan the original guy in 2003 Matt left in 2006 then Jeanne Sagan replaced him then Aaron Patrick left 3 years ago and now Matt Deis has been back in the band for 2 years now Mike Martin the rhythm guitarist actually replaced the original guy Chris Bartlett back in 2004 so yeah Mikes been in the band forever now 20 years as for the Drummer it’s Anthony Barone he of course replaces longtime drummer Jason Costa my favourite All That Remains drummer the original guy Michael Bartlett is my 2nd favourite woulda been cool if he came back but he’s probably not involved with music might be living a quiet life now yeah I really miss Oli Herbert wish he was still alive he woulda been 50 this year but Jason Richardson is a great guitarist too🤘

25 years these boys been around. I'm not trying to make poor assumptions of your age. That would be uncouth. But im assuming they've been making music longer than youve been alive.
Bit too heavy for me Nicky, too much harsh vocals. I must be getting a lightweight 😂, it’s probably because I prefer female harsh vocals to male! I appreciate your enthusiasm for them though, if they float you boat and all that stuff….
