Thank you for the reaction and welcome to the ATR “club”.
One of the songs I never get tired of is “Parallels”. Get that great ATR sound of Phil’s vocal range - can’t get enough of the high pitched growl he does -, melodic guitars, awesome guitar solo, and that iconic double bass. They also have a couple that were tough ones on Guitar Hero that helped them get a wider audience more quickly.
Their new lead guitarist is an amazing musician that does a bit of his own stuff (solo tracks), but he’s said that he’s really focusing on keeping the ATR sound for the band. I definitely think he’s succeeding while letting us know he’s got his own greatness.

Always loved All That Remains. The drummer double kicking the pedals. So glad they are back with new music!

@@nikkireviews one thing I noticed with Pau from TheWarning even though she is smaller than most drummers she would get the kick pedals really moving, double kicking 😂 love that sound it makes, and than add the drum fills!

@@nikkireviews please forgive my TW fanboying, but they have kind of a sleeper song out called _Satisfied_ that is starting to gain a little traction. Ale said it's one of her two fav KMF songs. Very moody and goes big on the chorus and has an interesting minor chord progression. I think you would like, no peculiar pop flavor, just solid songwritting.

The double kick bass drums. He even had a quad kick in the break down. Shows how hard it is to play drums like that. To use your feet and hands at the same time.

more all that remains to checkout - the weak willed, two weeks, hold on, the waiting one, stand up, asking too much, what if i was nothing, this probably wont end well, for you, victory lap, madness, for we are many

An oldhead leaving a comment, it seems both songs, Divine and Let You Go is for Oli Herbert (OG guitarist) that passed away in 2018

I knew OF the band, but had never checked them out before, probably because I only got into harsh vocals a few years ago. Good clean and harsh mix👍, may just have to check out a few more. I was looking up lead vocalists name when you found it. lol. Also noticed that one of the collaborations that he has done , is a song called "Dark Star" by Tarja.

About the drums.. this is actually complex drumming on this song... you are hearing tons of drum techniques in this song:
quarter note 1 measure double kick drums
    meter changes
ghost notes on the snare that are very forward in the mix, which almost unheard of in metal
    half measure blast beats
ghost notes combined with blast beats for half measure changes
    syncopated kick drums and guitars
    off beat and delayed pauses
    cymbal chokes
    bass drums
alternating snare/kick/toms groove (a difficult technique to master)
(PS - I subscribed when you said you would be listening to more ATR songs. That will be fun.)
