I always forget that's a bombshell for first time watchers (including myself when it aired). I'm so used to associating them together and just knowing that that it's foreign to me now that it's new information 😭

Damon is spiraling and feels like everything is out of control because Elena has to be sacrificed. he's my favorite character but he does not handle his emotions in the best way sometimes lmao. I love him and can acknowledge his flaws. I also can't wait to find out more about the originals and how they're like.
Finally. Klaus Mikaelson is my favorite male TVD character (my 2nd favorite TVD character after my sweet Caroline) , and one of my favorite vamp/werewolf characters ever. Absolutely love Joseph Morgan.

Same way that werewolves cant be compelled by vampires either. I also enjoyed the reveal of Klaus being a hybrid. He is so overpowered that I have no idea how they're gonna be able to stop him because the daggers don't work on him.
I don't think being supernatural is the reason for them to not get compelled because Doppelgangers are supernaturals and they can be compelled... I guess It's just a plot thing...

I think the main difference between Elijah, Klaus and Damon and Stefan is that Klaus actually didn’t really fall for Katherine. He just thought of her as “a means to an end” And used Katherine to show Elijah not to fall in love. (Praying you watch The Originals)

One of the reasons why her bond with Elijah remains so special throughout the seasons is because he was the first man to ever grow fonder of her as a human. Yes, Damon and Stefan liked her, but that was when she was a vampire.
