One of my favourite 'When animals attack' vids concerned an older couple going out camping and spotting a mama bear nearby, with her cubs, as they arrived. The husband decided he was going to take some pics and followed them. They found his camera. He did get some great shots, including the ones where it became obvious that mama was leading her cubs to higher ground and swatting their butts to run uphill - before turning around to deal with this pesky human stalker. What cracked me up (because I'm an awful person) was his wife & her flat-toned, nonplussed, voice saying, "I dun tole him not to folla that beah"
the bear on the right hand side was definitely larger. his shoulder is higher. 1:34 as well in stand up like 10 cm advantage. so wild. what a showdown.
Between Mountain Lions, Black Bears or Grizzly/Brown bears I feel the safest around Black Bears, they usually are timid around humans. I've crossed paths with Grizzlies they seem a lot more Curious I had one sit and block a trail, it knew ther was no other way out of the location. I've been followed or Stalked by 2 Mountain Lions. One followed me for over a mile, that was the longest slowest mile I've walked backwards. I was Armed but wouldn't shoot unless there was no other choice.
But you CAN be an awesome wildlife photographer at any Time! I surely don't know where you live, but you can easily start with all the wildlife that lives around you - in your Garden, Park or Woods/Trees. To observe the Insects or Birds, Hedgehogs - whatever you lay your eyes on - is a great start to get to know the wildlife that's around you! Not everyone can (f.e) watch Lions, Monkeys or Alligators - but to observe Bumblebees can be fascinating too! Sorry, not native english speaker here...
2:00 There was a Russian scientist who studied bears, who followed a bear away from his cabin and ended up getting decapitated, it was believed this was from a single swip of the bears paw1
As a kid, I had a park ranger take me and a bunch of other kids out to his SUV to see the muddy paw prints on the windows. He’d left doughnuts in his SUV overnight. The window was just barely open, so he figured the bear could smell the food and was trying to get it. I saw the size of those prints and knew I’d never want to go up against a bear. Some years later, my biology teacher brought in a black bear skin. It just furthered my resolve.
Great overhead sign in the shop in the Thailand clip of the guy targeted by the snake, who then proceeds to stomp the snake. Sign says One Stop Shop. He demonstrated he can confidently handle whatever your needs are. 😁
I have heard lynxes near my home but never seen anything in my yard. Terrifying. I know we don't have bears where I live but we do still have dangerous animals where I live. Moose are heavy and like bears, they are always ready to protect their kin and will not hesitate to charge you if it feels threatened. So amazing to see the cute babes cross the road but also very tense, good thing they were in their cars at the time.
The only thing that she didn't mention about monkeys being dangerous is something that I don't think most people don't think about - their teeth. Many primates have very dangerous canine teeth and can do great damage or even kill, with or without intentional provocation.
That guy Nick is the kind of guy that seems like( as bad as this sounds I mean it as a compliment) that is such a good guy with the type of personality that can overcome that type of face injury. His goodness( I believe) kind of shines through 😊❤
I hate it when already endangered animals fight and kill each other. It might work in a situation of full population, but under threat, it's counter-productive.
07:54 I burst out laughing- this poor mama is JUST. TRYING. TO. CROSS. and the cubs are not making it easy. She has to go back for one, hopes the other stays put but it doesn’t and “OH for goodness’ sake… I’ve only got one set of jaws!” … anyone who’s cared for two or more kids can understand! Except her babies are in more danger! I kind of saw this yesterday in human form: a man holding his baby son in one arm and lifting his older daughter out of the cart to maneuver her into the seat while being careful to neither squeeze or dangle either kid- it was artful. He was calm and patient, gentle. I told him he was a “super-Dad.”
I think I heard that sometimes baboons team up with lions to hunt. They will sound a call when prey is near so the cats can kill them. Then the cats will eat their fill and the baboons get the leftovers. Maybe they have a symbiotic relationship with leopards as well. Although Idk what happens when the leopards cache their kill though. Btw... I'm in LOVE with Anne. Her enthusiasm just pours out of her and you cant help be caught up in that happiness river with her!

adrenaline is one hell of pain killer
I want to be BFFs with Ann, she has the best personality!!!
I just found this channel, love your vids Ann 😊
I love you Ann. You’re fantastic, your sense of humour is so entertaining. We would get along famously!
Your videos are delightful - even the violent ones. Keep them coming please.
I love how she's saying snakes don't like bothering people and to give it space lol the guy was literally sitting in a waiting room, indoors... looking in the other direction when a snake sneaked in and tried to pounce him LOL
Dr. Ann Jones you are awesome. Please make more videos
I thought "trash pandas" was just a nickname. I call my raccoon looking kitty Trashpanda. Lol
The rob and barter system with the monkeys I’ve personally seen happen!! It’s crazy!!
It was at a hill station temple in India.
as well in stand up like 10 cm advantage.
so wild. what a showdown.
Love Dr Ann Jones, she is super awesome ❤❤
Good on these people for capturing this, it is very brave of them and if my life was different, I would love to have become a wildlife photographer.
Why do bears never stop looking so cuddly and cute, even when I see them in videos like these?
I love your videos! Thank you.
❤ such good job you're doing there and bringing it across 😊
She is extremely likable. Bring her back for more vids!!😄😄
When I worked at 7/11 and it was time to throw out cooked food a local raccoon family got it this was the 80s
I love this woman! Her videos are the best
The only thing that she didn't mention about monkeys being dangerous is something that I don't think most people don't think about - their teeth. Many primates have very dangerous canine teeth and can do great damage or even kill, with or without intentional provocation.
more from this wonderful woman!!
That guy Nick is the kind of guy that seems like( as bad as this sounds I mean it as a compliment) that is such a good guy with the type of personality that can overcome that type of face injury. His goodness( I believe) kind of shines through 😊❤
Ok, but that snake in that India waiting room totally went after that guy unprovoked!
You're just all sorts of awesome :)
Those brown snake shots were fantastic.
