    I've been following Daniil here on U tube with his Mozart piano concertos . This guy is thew real deal! I like him the best out of all pianists here. He's number one! The Russians consistently play with the most passion !
    Please come to Seattle! We love you Mr. Trifonov!

    Daniil Trifonov in this concerto contrasts what is as it exists for colors touch by touch to change the universe of sound and allow contact with music with a fresh look, or rather a new approach that of a pianist-composer especially in ornaments and cadenzas. It's magnificent with a revival and a sublime touch even if here and there in the first movement at some points, there are "little things" but it's a live concert and maybe that's makes it more human? The last movement is a little too fast for me and doesn't allow the music "breathe" enough, but it has the impulse, the contrasts, the climate and the touch of Trifonov and makes it for the conductor who is not up to the pianist. Thank you to Amanuensis for this wonderful video !

    Wow - what a breath of fresh air in an age of very standardised performances to hear such a wonderfully eccentric performance

    I loved your interpretation Daniil. I learned this work fifty years ago and wondered briefly what was happening, then realised Mozart offered improvisation opportunities in his cadenzas, so why not else where as well? Different. Thanks for an interesting and very pleasant experience. Cathy

    Mozart, largely "revu" by Trifonov and executed by Trifonov. So beautifully executed that he can be forgiven for going back on Mozart great innovation: making the concerto a fixed piece, not a excuse for brilliant improvisations. anyone interested in Mozart's version can listen to Yeol Eum Son, who was unlucky to compete in the Tchaikovsky competition the same year as Daniil. She is an extremely good pianist.

    Не понимаю всеобщего восторга. Хотелось бы спросить у восторженной публики, что он играет с 11:30 и следующие 10 секунд? "Ноты!" - скажете вы. Жаль что только не те, что написал Моцарт. А еще темп плавает, а еще педали мгого...

    I was expecting a flawless performance, but I suppose you can accept a couple of mistakes in a live performance. Well I will give him this: he is never boring! the orchestra is generally excellent, except a bit too loud in the slow movement. I think the finale is rather too quick and a bit rushed.

    • @jaycharles70
      @jaycharles70 4 года назад +1

      He is a great pianist, no doubt. But I do agree that sometimes he sounds out of place. His live performance of this concert with Thielemann/Staatskapelle Dresden in 2016 was superb, but not flawless. If anything, his cadenza sounded more like Prokofiev!

    some beautiful moments. Cadenza and intro. to 3rd movement do not enhance this masterpiece. His dynamic changes are excellent. 3rd movement too fast. Also a major mishap in first movement at about 11.37 into it.

    It's irritating to have blowhards like me suggest that, poetic genius that he is, Trifonov will mature into a musician who relies more on line than dynamics to wax lyrical; but when you have a touch like his -- and who does this side of Gieseking? -- over reliance on velvet is understandable. And this is a beautiful performance. Who are the orchestra and conductor?
