Honey you look absolutely Stunning!!! I am living for all the lilac, the eyeshadow, the jumper and the hair! Yes love give us everything 💜💜💜💜 Hope you have a beautiful rest of your day 💜💜 Thank you for another great video and sharing your opinions with us 💜
Star Wars movies literally start with a text crawl that sets up the story in simple terms. Meanwhile this pack just throws you in and assumes you know everything
It’s like they looked at the Star Wars movies and went “hmm, what’s the most iconic part we can add?” And then they chose the windows movie maker wipes from the original movies while the pack is about the sequels...
Hahaha I got a good laugh at that. An excellent point, I never considered that. They are literally banking on the fact that it’s Star Wars rather than there actually being anything new or innovative. And sadly it will most likely sell for that reason. Which is fine. Like if you want the pack, no shade. Cheers. But I would have liked to see some original ideas. Like a space colony pack that features some things from Star Wars rather than outright copying and pasting it into the game. But it is what it is.
This is what I kept thinking too. Like the things they ask you to do and find... they’re all stuff from the parks. Like the control panel is a thing in the parks they if you play the mini game with the Disney app you have to find. The people you have to talk to are the hosts of the rides in the park. The rebel you have to find in the game is YOU in the parks. They treat you like the secret rebel there. Given that the whole story is just the same story from the park, and that this is 1000% just an ad for the parks, I’m very disappointed. It’s not even a good ad for the park! Jessie is right this should have been like Medieval. This is NOT new person friendly. This isn’t even SW fan friendly, given this is all based of a theme park. And at that, a theme park with rides that are almost impossible to ride, given the lines and how long they are. It’s kinda elitist. Plus with Corona most people haven’t even been there yet and this doesn’t make them want to go either. Absolutely freaking wild.
Tbh I just wish they made the pack its own standalone game so it could be better fleshed out and easier for non-Star Wars fans to understand. Besides, a Star Wars life sim sounds unironically rad as all hell.
I wish they took the energy from Get Together and put it into every pack. An expansion that accommodates every aspect of the game, opens up gameplay opportunities everywhere, a world that is the epitome of what an expansion pack world should look like and potential for lore in a new family with a genuinely interesting backstory (Villareal). Almost everything else is either half-baked or empty.
Zyxcba This is the reason I pretty much solely play the game in windenburg, you can interact with 90% of the things there which is about 80% more than the average s4 pack. Also kids weren’t done dirty for once-
I realized a while ago, that I had more fun playing vanilla Sims 3 where all my sim did was just go to work than I did playing Sims 4 as my alien archeologist astronaut
@@DanielleVlog365 and a few stuff not working. something sims4 got praised for was the fact they can do two thing at the same time. Drink some punch and chat whit someone while watching TV across the room.
imho, without being salty, in lilsimsie's take on the sw gp, i felt like she was invalidating what the majority thought and kinda of was being manipulative. She was saying how she doesn't like the pack nor cares to play it, but yet shes curious and so should i be and possibly buy it but yet shes getting it for free......it came off like that. It just didn't feel right intuitively.
Definitely. If they were gonna make it a pack the only way it could’ve been fleshed out enough would be if it was an expansion pack, and that would’ve been a waste of an expansion pack lol. A separate game would be the best route to go.
EA put out a statement saying they're working on more diverse skin tones, babies, & bunk beds, but it takes time because of "technology matters." That's BS. If players can mod skin tones and CC from their *home computers,* EA can do it BEFORE they release a damn Star Wars pack that belongs nowhere in the rest of the Sims Universe. *This pack was a cash grab for EA via Disney and nothing more.* Listening to the money, & not their players.
Modders are working 100% on their own schedules on the pieces that THEY want to work on, they don't have to take on anything else at a time if they don't want to, they don't have higher-ups to report to, and they don't have to worry about if what they put out is usable on every single computer that can run the Sims 4. There's no excuse for skin tones at this point, but cars and babies and bunk beds are completely different.
Meghan Stanley EA can take as long as they want but taking a short minute to make low quality pack for $40 and then constantly update everyday is useless. I rather them take a year for quality then 2 month for trash. :/
"So, since there aren't any new traits, I decided to give the sims team the traits I think most suit them." *selects hates children, materialistic and erratic* Absolutely savage, and I love it.
I feel like Plumbella is one of the few Game Changers I still trust. I'm not gonna name names but she and Carl are of the few that seem very straightforward EDIT: this escalated quickly...
Me: I want more occults, better game play, more traits, bigger worlds, skin tones, some teen and elde- US: BABIES!! BABIESSSS BABIEESSS *frothing at the mouth* WE WANT BABBBIIIEESSSSSSSSS, BABY SIMULATOR. BABBBIIIEEESSSSS EA: So... Star Wars?
Right, like we're 6 years into this cycle and they're still doing the same thing of set-dressings worlds and reorganising reused animations into new gameplay objective to-do lists.
I wanna say I'm ready for the Sims 5, but I'm honestly scared that they'll rush it again and I'll be stuck with an unfinished basegame for another 7 years.
I just plan on waiting five years to buy it. More mods and cc will still exist for sims 3 and 4, and then I can wait and see how things pan out this time. I can't trust the sims team again...
@@natncat idk I understand and appreciate your optimism but I high-key disagree. EA as a whole has a terrible reputation for not caring about its fanbase, and i feel that the sims team has become worse over time, not better. It's getting to the point where the amount of excuses Sims fans make for EA grow more and more numerous by the day, while the bar for achievement gets lower and lower. They have had six years to get their act together -- multiple expansions, stuff packs, and game packs later, where are they now? The sims is at its height of popularity and they're still out here clowning. I'm not saying the franchise can't be saved, but I am saying that I am not convinced that the Sims team can or will put in the work to save it (even if they wanted to, EA's bigwigs may not allow them to). I say this as a long-time sims fan who has been playing since TS1. I bonded over this game with my mother when she introduced me to it. I've played console versions, spinoffs, and main series. I love this franchise. I desperately wanted to love ts4, but it's not the game for me. I'm happy others enjoy it. But what I'm not happy about is how EA fucks with its customers and how Sims fans are being forced to take it due to the lack of competition/alternatives. Y'all let them get away with too much because you don't have anywhere else to go. That's not right, the fanbase deserves better. With each year they seem to grow further away from their fanbase. It makes me question if they're even trying to listen in the first place, or if they're just trying to tell y'all what you should want and then tuning out the complaints when you all (rightfully) try to tell them what you *actually* want because it's not profitable to them.
Fun fact: Many action-oriented children's cartoons give the bad guys laser/blaster type weapons because real guns that fire real bullets would be scarier and draw more complaints from angry parents.
How did they manage to make this pack horrible for fans AND non-fans of the franchise??? It’s confusing for anyone who hasn’t watched the movies and yet extremely shallow/superficial for everyone who has. Great job EA! 0/10
This pack was based on concepts from Galaxy’s Edge that didn’t make into the actual land. Look up early concept ideas for the land online and you’ll see where it comes from. Disney wanted to see through their Star Wars investment, and approached EA with a payday to bring to life what they failed to do.
They choose Battu cause they didnt have to create but just replicate, easy and simple and also because its a big advertisement, because no one ( I mean real star wars fans that at least watch the clone wars) wanted that timing in star wars universe, no one like the new age with those loosers characters, created only for yoke purposes and in the end, bad characters. Also, they dared not include a new skill, or force power, and treated lightsabers like toys... this is the most disaponting pack ever, worse than My first pet stuff in my opinion. The only good point like she said, its the visual, beautiful world, star wars vibe yes, beautiful cas assets, im not gonna lie, but why aliens arent real species, why?? Two franchises that EA work on, and they could not provide more to a single gamepack... I will never buy it, and I need to know if I can defenitely delete Rey, Kylo and V. Moradi of the game if ever it comes free at some point, only free, Ill get it just for the sake of having all packs, maybe some built and buy, or cas assets, but only if it gets free and I have the ability to suppress those disgusting characters.
Wth. Remember in sims 3 into the future, you could literally go in every building, interact with freaking everything, even ride around hoverboards and jet packs. Now it’s like... an empty shell of a game. I want to be immersed in a new world. Not just look at it from the outside.
yessss, i love a lot of youtubers (not naming names there’s too many lmao ) however a lot of them are just ignoring the problems and issues like oOoOooH sTaR wArS tHiS iS coOl i lOvE sTaR wArS but then they play it once then don’t touch it again
Lazy Game Reviews (even though he’s not a game changer, I think he was - correct me if I’m wrong) does amazing views of the packs filled with honesty. I’d definitely reccomend watching him if you want a 10/10 honest and no pack code provided review
Plus, Plumbella does it in a way that's funny and creative, but is still honest and not too subtle. James Turner, for example, has also criticized EA and Maxis for their scummy practices, but he is often too subtle for my liking. And of course, then there are others that just praise and recommend anything and everything, which is just unjustifiable.
Can't wait for their next Expansion Pack: Social Distancing Life. Have fun sitting in front of a laptop for hours on Siim meetings, maybe you'll see your boss doing something embarrassing or catch a glimpse of their new kitten (requires Cats and Dogs AND My First Pet Stuff!) Make stylish cloth masks (requires Nifty Knitting) or grab a sign to protest against those bothersome life saving pieces of fabric (requires Get Together.) Watch your sims slowly lose their minds, marriages and livelihoods, will they end up on the streets or just get a divorce? (Requires all DLC.) Your sims lives will be more realistic than ever as they dream of life as it used to be. (That's what you get for requesting realistic features!) Only £999, coming this fall.
now imagine how much better this could have been if it was a theme park pack, with star wars stuff sprinkled in. something people would actually find enjoyable to integrate into their gameplay, instead of a self-contained advertisement lmao
That's what I've been saying. A theme park pack where you can run the park, build rollercoasters and other attractions, even maybe add in the Disney princesses. That makes sense. That has a gameplay element a lot of people would enjoy. CAS would be fun. BB would have interesting, actually useful items. I don't get why they didn't make it like that
@@hellformichelle see this is a good idea and i love it :O but sadly probs wont ever happen so i will instead stick to my roller coaster tycoon games i know the other game that's not a part of that franchise planet coaster? is cool and all but i like my older ones xD i may check out the zoo one they released tho at some point
King Libra tbh I still wouldn’t have bought it because I don’t use aliens but it would’ve been a better selling point for them and would’ve been an optimistic outlook for future updates and packs regarding improvements for gameplay. But they really fell flat and it’s even more awful because this pack was green lit by the sims team.
Mariana .-. At this point I’m not even gonna blame ea after simguru lyndsay said she was the reason this pack was being made in the first place. There’s a huge disconnect between the community and ea which we already knew but I didn’t know it was just as bad with the sim gurus
I’ve been playing The Sims since it first came out when I was 7. I’m 27 now and have been playing for 2 decades strong. For the first time, I really DONT want to play anymore. The worst part is that EA knows they have a loyal ass fan base and continue to exploit us. Will Wright’s Sims will be missed. I want to *hope* that The Sims 5 will be better, but as long as it’s under EA, the joke’s on us!
"It's looks stunning but it's just a set", sounds like this whole franchise to be honest. The worlds always look beautiful but then there's maybe 4 workable lots (Glimmerbrook and Forgotten Hollow want to say hi!!), same with hidden worlds which are only useful if your sim is a collector. Honestly I'm genuinely sorry to people who spend money on these packs because they're definitely not worth it. I used to buy the games and I genuinely wanted to support the franchise because it was a big part of my childhood but ts4 is just disappointment after disappointment. You could praise them for some updates and build mode but even then, it doesn't fix the game by a long stretch. The lack of depth makes it something you can play for a day or two and then not touch it for months because there's little to no replay value, especially in packs like this one, Strangerville or Eco Living. It's frustrating, honestly. And the way they are completely okay to ignore these issues and just send more half-assed packs our way just shows that they don't care at all, which on one hand I get it, it's first and foremost a business but then again, the clear lack of respect towards their fans/clients is kinda jarring. They expect us to pay for all these packs and don't even have the decency to produce something of quality. edit: also thank you for being so honest about what you think of these packs. I really appreciate it.
Sims 4 is basically like when you buy a house and the paint and windows and all that look great, but when you finally move in, you notice everything is either a mess, broken, or just not there.
I feel so pleased that I was right about the new “alien races” just being masks lol someone started arguing with me that “EA would never do that” and they were “obviously brand new races like sims aliens are”. I knew EA would cut corners wherever possible with this pack... this looks awful. If I wanted to go to Disneyland’s galaxy edge I’d just go there. This is just sad and lame - none of this inspires creativity. To the completionists: if you must buy this pack, instead of just getting the pack, get Disneyland Adventures too... then you can fully run around in a Disneyland advertisement disguised as a video game! Oh boy!
As someone who had the Disney sing along songs for Disneyland as a kid and watched it on repeat to get the experience of visiting again (I got to go when we were visiting California on holiday and this was before Disneyland Paris opened up) knowing that there is a game to play of it.... Almost tempted. Nah... I'll just buy a new VHS player.
I CANT BELIEVE THERE MASKS I DONT KNOW WHY THEY DIDNT JUST ADD THEM AS FACE DETAILS FOR ALIENS AND MAKE THE ABILITY TO CHANGE THE RACE NAME LIKE HOW YOU CAN NAME YOUR CATS AND DOGS YOUR OWN KIND OF BREED !
Id just like to point out that excluding this pack, sims 4 as a whole is $600 usd. For me its $1000. I could buy a FULL game for $20 - $40. They have NO excuse when they are charging this much for a single game. Enough is enough.
@hi my names CATRINA • unfortunately i am one od said people XD at the time i didnt realize just how much i was spending on this game till i looked a little deeper. But i 100% agree that i was robbed of my money. If i could get a full refund i would.
This is why I don’t play Sims 4 which kills me because I loved 3 so much. I just watch the videos now. I will NEVER spend that kind of money in a single game ESPECIALLY missing core base functions. Like what the actual fuck.
you're not being negative jesse, you're being honest. this is the content they gave us and you're just reviewing for what it is. thank you for your videos!
And honestly more respect to you. If I had seen a positive review from Jesse and then got the pack and seen the truth I would have been really disappointed in a creator I thought I could trust.
@@BiratesoftheCaribbean yep. i never get excited for a new pack. only disappointed that a new sims 4 pack probably means we're that much further from a sims 5.
"Aesthetically is stunning but it’s the inside that counts and there’s nothing." "It looks stunning but it's just a set." And this is the TREND with Sims 4. They have mastered aesthetics. Aesthetics and CAS and all that shit are PERFECT. Best we've ever had. But the gameplay is so fucking empty. It is literally an empty, soulless, happy millennial simulator with no substance. The worlds are set pieces and shells (Del Sol Valley is basically unplayable IMHO). And that is how I, (a devoted Sims player since 2000 but someone who could never get into TS3 because I have automatonophobia and the Sims in that game literally made me feel ill because they look so uncanny valley) and now downloading a complete collection of the Sims 3 series. But you know what? I am prepared to downgrade to a game that makes me feel physically ill just so I can get some quality gameplay. That is the state of things with TS4 right now.
@hi my names CATRINA • i mean-- i she didnt say anything about sims 2 of an uncanny valley but i was wonderin since theyre humanoid and such like sims3. ig s3 is more realistic but imma wait for her answer hahsbxb sry
kyaroru trois Sims 2 is pretty cartoonish not very uncanny valley. Seriously though, I love sims 3 gameplay and if ONLY they had better looking sims I’d have loved it so much more
kyaroru trois Oh yeah I used to use cc a lot to make them look better, but then they’d all look kinda the same. Wished the cas from the sims medieval was in sims 3 tbh
The other day I saw someone ranting on Twitter about "hate" this pack was getting and telling people to "get over it", saying the creators are not bound to always make packs the community wants, but also what they want to do because they develop the game. I was so baflled by how people just assume that the game developers are doing us a favor instead of their jobs. Yes, they should like what they develop, but no, not at the expense of what people want - the people who buy their product. The Sims is a product, not a gift. There's no reason to personally hate on creators, but the company who develops a product ignoring what their targeted audience wants will face consequences, losing credibility and ultimately, clients. It's just surprising how people forget this.
I saw that. That person used to work for EA/Maxis as of their own admission so I wouldn’t read too much into what they say. They’re not a consumer, they’re trying to protect their friends. Shame.
Why would the devs be mad if you dislike a managment decision? I'm a software eng and work(ed) as a dev on different products/projects i can assure you, you can hate the stuff i worked on all you want for most things i'd even agree.
Very well put. If the creators don’t want to make the packs the community wants, they need to be prepared for the community to not purchase what they make instead. I think what this person on Twitter is missing is that the sims community is pretty angry and tired and fed up with half-assed packs they didn’t ask for. This isn’t the first time we’ve gotten a pack we didn’t exactly want and, simply put, competition is coming for the sims. If they aren’t willing to make what the community wants, it’s not going to be long before there’s other games that are.
Maybe this criticism would be valid, for an indie development or a one man team, but we’re talking about corporation as big as EA. You can and should criticize their product. I agree that people shouldn’t attack the game devs, when the decisions are ultimately made by the higher ups, but please don’t act like EA is your friend. I wish some Simmers, were as critical as other gamers. The things we allow to happen and defend is absolutely abhorrent. I would never let some of the crap, EA pulls slide. Even in other games, EA puts out, they don’t try to blatantly take advantage of their users. If loot boxes were still legal, I wouldn’t be surprised if EA could work that into the Sims somehow.
Also frankly I strongly suspect, certainly in this case and with many of the other packs (knitting instead of hobbies, making it cats and dogs instead of pets, carving some of the stuff off cats and dogs for a stuff pack) the developers actively don't want to do it and would rather do what the fans want. But EA being the evil overlord corporate slavedriver it is enforces this shit. Hate EA, pity the Sims team.
I can't even fully express how mad I was that I can't make my own real apartment building. You can do a lame want to be, but I wanted it like sims 2. There is so much wasted space in the ones you can't upload. Drives me crazy.
You also can't remove the goddamned TLC trait from any of them that start with it, even if you renovate the place. Same with the historic trait. Would be cool if TS4 actually had any lore to go with it, but instead it just eats up wall space and forces me to put mirrors and paintings in awkward spots.
Cherries and wine the thing is the Star Wars concepts received the least amount of votes. Literally no one wanted this game pack expect for EA and Disney 😭
- lol the profile pic is from my sims save that I'm playing them in. They live in a 2 bed apartment but the relationship is moving slow since Turg can't tell when default is having fun. But he took her to have build sandcastles as a date the other day and she seemed pretty neutral about it, they had a good conversation
- I mean it’s a life simulation. No point in shaming people who want real life activities in their game. What the real problem is the fact that EA split laundry and knitting into separate stuff packs in the first place
I don’t know how the Disney World attraction looks, but if this had been a literal Star Wars theme park pack with like roller coasters, hotels, souvenirs, and photo ops for your kid with Cassandra Goth dressed as Rey or something, I would probably have bought this pack. That sounds way more fun, more fitting with the sims, and would make me want to go to actual Disney World way more than this does.
"I'm really not impressed with this pack." Hunny I could tell in like 5 seconds of the video your tone is just so bored, tired and disappointed. Not that that's a bad thing it's your right to be disappointed. I am too.
At least she was honest! Deli sounded so bored in her review, but kept saying "this is fun." I love watching Deli, but there was some serious side eye for that video.
How embarrassing is it on a scale of 1 - 10 when a fan can recreate Kylo Ren's mask in the Sims 3 as a free custom content download, and it looks better than this mess!! www.patreon.com/posts/34282187
They literally could have brought in space and living on a space ship, new rockets, planets that you travel to once in space and more aliens and weird creatures from space as pets and spaceships and weird new lands and robots and the force as a skill and so many things. But instead they did this.
Heeere's the most lacklustre thing we can think of sponsored by our new friends at Disney! We your evil overlords hope that you enjoyed this Star Wars paid advertisement for our benefactor's Disney World. And if you say it's a rip off we'll sue. Have a nice day and thank you for your money cows...I...uh...mean customers.
robdude999 honestly as much as Disney is a part of my childhood I don’t fuck with them anymore. I’m never going to buy a subscription to Disney+. Quite frankly I’m too poor to go to Disneyworld/land but I still wouldn’t go even if I could afford it. Haven’t seen any of their movies in theater since frozen in 2013 (2014?). They are basically a monopoly and quite frankly pretty lackluster in almost everything that they have put out since 2013 (at least, without Pixar, since Pixar is the superior animation studio.) teaming up with the sims which already disappoints with lackluster packs is honestly just the icing on the cake.
Honestly if they just made a Disney world pack it would be a lot better b/c more vacation spots and a lot more people would have been included in the love of Disney AND it still would have been an advertisement for disney
I'd have been slightly annoyed by it containing branding from a real world thing (the rest of the game does not other than the few star wars things they had in base game just because EA have franchise rights). But at the same time, if they'd made a Disneyland pack where it has all the rides done and HOTELS to go and stay in - basically just Disneyland in game form, then I'd take all my sims on holidays there and ride all the rides. Like I'm not even fussed if you couldn't build the rides (I have Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 & 2, Parkitect, and Planet Coaster for that). I'd take getting to be a mascot as a new job. They could go off to work, be dressed up as a mascot and then you could take the rest of the family to go visit the park and you'd see your sim there. Don't even care if it would technically count as a rabbit hole job (as in you can't control them as a mascot).
Make a theme park pack with Disney inspired vacation world where Star Wars Battu is one of the vacation neighborhoods. It still would not have been what we wanted, but it would have been so much better than this shit and while it would still be criticized, it wouldn’t be dragged as hard.
A Disney Park pack with a vacation world sounds really fun tbh. They could've just done that. Who wouldn't want to send their Sims family to Disney World?
wow EA & Disney really just looked at their blueprints for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney World/Disneyland and said "copy paste!" huh. it's literally just a virtual version of what you'd see in the Disney parks LOL
Yeah, a user in one of the comments up above even said the reputation/quest gameplay is a copy-paste job of the early Galaxy's Edge concepts: the attraction was gonna have you go on quests for the Rebels/First Order/Scoundrels and develop a reputation. It's hilarious.
i think there is nothing to be disappointed about. i am not that much of a gamer but i have learned that if the trailer is decent, the game is probably not that good.
We're not mad. We're angry, digusted, and insulted. I wonder what those people, Sims fans, who've spent hundreds of dollars on Sims4 DLCs alone feel right now after hoping the game would live up to its predecessors' legacy (which it did not).
As a Star Wars fan I knew that this was how it’s going to be and it makes me so sad! Just like Jesse said, she’s not a Star Wars fan and this awful game isn’t going to help her get into the franchise. It makes Star Wars fans disappointed, sims fans hate it, and if you had no interest in SW you definitely don’t want to try it out now. I will say if anyone wants to try to get into Star Wars don’t play this game, instead watch A New Hope and skip ahead while C3PO is walking through the desert. That’s the slowest part of the movie but after that it’s great
I wouldn't say I'm a fan, but my favourite game is SWTOR, which is how I know what I do about the SW universe. I'd suggest anyone who's itching for a SW video game to try it out, since this ain't it.
No! Start with rogue one, it's more subtle with the "star wars-y bits," and makes vader and the death star out to be the bad assess they deserve. Once you see that, the beginning of a new hope is anything but boring.
I'm a bit worried that EA might revoke Game Changer status if they feel a game changer is too critical... Although I think it's better to speak your mind and risk getting removed than lie to keep the position! I predict that if all the game changers stood up and became too critical, EA would just fire them all and replace them with new game changers...
@@kateschmid2889 LGR lost his status after giving consistently critical Sims 3 and 4 pack reviews, and this was from someone who had been reviewing the game since the Sims 1.
us: we want a wider range of darker skin colors that looks normal EA: we made you some alien skin colors us: no we just want melanin EA: look you can have green skin us: no-
The "horns" that we are getting from this pack are in the hats category, and now I'm scared that my sim is going to take their horns off when going to shower...
That's exactly what I'm expecting, tbh. Why would they do that... they could just have made it a body or face detail for Sims, so that it could at least be permanent and that kids can have it too.... this was the last thread of hope I had and it's completely destroyed now.
Thats why I loved the sims 3 so much: everything you saw was interactable. Even if you just wanted to stare and it and take a selfie. All the houses were filled with people, the stores were filled with people.... I still fell sims 4 was a downgrade
@@LL-wu5ui yeah the "hotspots" were always very empty thats true. You also had to spend time filling the empty houses but after that there would be a decent amount of people at every occasion. Sims 3 adventure was always filled with people in the holiday lots and that was really cool. I don't even like the "crowdedness" of sims 4 where there are suddenly 20 people in one room for absolutely no reason
Sims 3 was amazing. The area outside the house was empty as in not bustling with sims walking around every second like sims 4. But the open world easy to access other lots. Cars. Everything in the base game. The expansions being expensive but entirely worth it.
It tried to bring back the things people loved about Sims 2, but did it from the perspective of someone with a shallow understanding of why Sims 2 gameplay was so good. It managed to drop the bad in Sims 3, but also the good.
They need to release a “I’m sorry” pack including 20+ traits, playable babies, cars, and a complete base game overhaul for Free.99 . Stop being money hungry and tend to the people that funded the game ... for years.
I don't know how they'll pull this off, but I want them to add a base game option to make it open world or not. I get that they need to cater to the fans that can't afford the hardware to run a HD open world Sims game, but if they somehow made that optional, for the people who do have the hardware power to run it, then that will be amazing. I hate that you have to load an area just to visit a neighbour or to go to a community lot that's literally in the same town. And with an open world option they can actually add cars again. It will make no sense adding cars to the Sims 4 as is, because you can only load one lot at a time. You can't drive to another lot, unless you want to see your sim get into a car, have a 2 second driving animation, a loading screen, and then an animation of your sim getting out of the car. That's pointless and unsatisfying.
I've realised because of this causing me to take a step back from sims 4 that sims 2 is in theory like, the perfect sims game to me with the way it guides your sims. If it wasn't so prone to corruption I'd be really interested in playing it. I just wish we could have an upscaled version of the ideas that game had (well based on my limited understanding at least)
Elliott Moreno Even if he did come back most of the problems in sims 4 packs stems form a lack of good funding and an time limit that makes it impossible for these packs to be as good as they could’ve been.
I think this is a problem of EA not knowing their audience.... I do not like Star Wars, the majority of other simmers I’ve talked to do not like Star Wars. Literally no one asked for this😂 Imagine if they put this much effort into a pack we have actually begged for, like a baby pack
When they did the community voting, Star Wars pack was literally the last one out of 21. Only about 2.5K people voted for it if I remember correctly. Yet, EA has some sort of contract with Disney so here they are. It’s upsetting.
I like star wars. I like the sims. I did not ask for this. I would never ask for this. If I want a star wars game, I'll just play an actual star wars game. I saw the trailer and just asked "...but why???"
I feel personally attacked w/ it being a freaking a vacation area (BASED OFF DISNEY) and we still don't have damn hotels or a theme park! How amazing would that theme park have been if we just needed a Disney shill.
They basically wasted their time and they could’ve done much more better, but hey... It’s EA and it’s the Sims 4 Team. A Theme park pack would have been probably worth it.
Exactly! Imagine how much better the reception would’ve been if they just called the pack “Disney’s Galaxy’s Edge” and presented it as a vacation world theme park experience for players to live vicariously through their sims, tying in hotel gameplay for all worlds. I think it would have been a much more effective advert then!
@@Tihli18 They could have added resorts in that pack also if it was like we are describing it. Promoting Disney, okay fine little bit on the edge but okay. Roller coasters, hotels, not only managing an hotel but A RESORT oml that would have been huge!! Or managing motels too. Yeah. None of that will come true.
It doesn’t even look like sims anymore. If I wanted to play a Star Wars game I would’ve paid for one. Nobody asked for the sims and Star Wars cross over. The sims is a life stimulation game for the players to create their own stories not a story based game about Star Wars it just doesn’t work well. Why on earth would you pay for this when you can just buy a Star Wars game that has playable content that follows the films. There are so many errors and content lacking in sims 4 but yet they focus their attention on an advertisement scheme. Y’all we need to not support this so they can get the message 🤬
That’s why you’re my favorite youtuber and also simmer: you’re not afraid to give your honest opinions ‘cause you know how to say them in the exact amount of softness and brutality that the Gurus and EA need and deserve. THEY. NEED. TO. HEAR. IT. If they’re not listening to the fans, hopefully they’ll listen to the GameChangers that think for the community as YOU DO. All tea no shade but I’ve seen a few GameChangers the last couple days seeing the criticism as free hate and even complaining about people raging against the fact that they like this pack, but the thing is: we’re not mad that they like the pack, we’re mad that they put their own personal taste above the Sims community that actually made them turn into GameChangers. This review was exactly what I expected from this game pack: probably their worst release since My First Pet, and that’s something.
I’m even watching any other game changers’ videos because all they’re too soft on EA and the Devs. They never call out EA like Plumbella does and I’m so grateful for her. They hardly ever say what they actually feel about the pack. They’ll say they love the pack and won’t touch it after they’re done “selling it” to us.
The developers don’t deserve any of it. The actual producers and leaders? Yeah okay but I recommend looking into the history of EA and why exactly gamers get VERY upset when lovely companies are bought up by them. I’d hazard a guess that the amount of resources and time developers (employees, lets get honest here) are given is unrealistic and it’s why 4 has so many issues. I feel so bad for them for copping so much flack when really it’s just being rushed with limited resources on hand and I don’t think Jessie gets that part of it when she specifically only addresses the developers - as much as she gets tours or talks with them it’s not going to be actually real insider stuff - just a form of marketing. It’s like when you get hourly complaints about one specific issue you can’t do anything about in retail or hospitality - it feels the same here tbh. Maybe that’s why I get so fired up about this particular issue - I totally get what it’s like on the receiving end.
Plumbella and LGR are basically the only ones I watch for sims reviews anymore. The majority are so far up EA’s rear end just to get free packs. It’s absurd
exactly! I love her honest opinion that's why I'm not going to buy this pack and I hope you won't buy it too! they need to start losing money so that they will actually start caring!. she's literally the only RUclipsr I trust... the other's have lost it tbh ... they would sell their souls to the devil to get free packs -_-. we are paying so we should be in control, not EA !!! all it takes is for us to help each other out so that we can get the actual packs we want ! . boycott the company for god's sake I'm so sick of these recent packs.. the game is boring on its own and they are doing everything to make it worse! .
The alien heads being masks vs alien skin detail was the one thing I was holding out on. I DO want improved aliens and I DO NOT want townie randos wearing costumes. Sorry EA my wallet is staying closed.
"A badly done advertisement campaign..." This is exactly what this pack feels like. I thought this pack was gonna be super good, even though I wasn't a fan of Star Wars, but it seems just as visually focused as the rest of the sims 4 is. We want depth. We want lore. We want better gameplay.
Same. Since It is a disney pack I was at least expecting something decent since I thought disney would at least pour some money into the pack. But no, it’s just as shallow as most sims 4 packs
i think it's really interesting how the "planet" was said to be a very hot planet (as said by SimGuruRomeo i believe) because of the three suns, but nearly all of the clothes are in layers. If that were real, I would have a heat stroke immediately haha
@Yrets TV that's why I only spent like AU$18 recently on Steam to get The Sims 3 and a couple of the more popular expansion packs. Sure I like the idea of the game, but I'm not going to haemorrhage money just for stuff packs and other things that don't really add value and playability to the game.
It's something that frustrates me a lot with create-a-sim. I am pretty confident I could create banger outfits with just the items in the game. But since it's not possible, I always rely on cc for at least a bare minimum. Skin tones, hair and shoes can take a sim from drab to fab. (Especially skin tones. Check out Remussirion on The Sims resource, he is honestly super talented. I swear you won't regret it)
Definitely seems that this pack is relying on people to already know about Star Wars, so when you say there's no lore - they expect you to fill in the blanks, to have seen the films and taking advantage of any Disney/SW fans out there! It's also terrible for Occult players who always get such a hard time for wanting packs like this and it's ruining any future occult gameplay we've been wanting! I wanted Werewolves or a medieval fantasy w/Elves like LoTR (we've never had that before!)
As a huge star wars fan myself who owns literally every star wars game, i can assure you this pack does nothing for us and lacks substance even if you like star wars. Its just Disney promoting their new park features 🤷🏾♀️ if i want to play a star wars game it wont be this pack😂😂 she looks boring. This whole pack just seems like an advertisement
@@keepinitkawaii Oh I'm a huge star wars fan myself! I was saying that for a Star Wars fan playing this pack, they'd understand the lore vs those don't know the SW lore & prob confused as hell. it's definitely just promotion for the Disney park like the fact that anyone in the game can have a lightsaber is ridiculous when it should be for certain ppl only.
@@masteroctagon6888 ahhh i see. Yes, thats true. I see a lot of people asking "who the heck is hondo??"😂 And its not going to be fun or meaningful for ones who don't get the story. But yeah i definitely feel like its a big advertisement, hoping they can pull in more interest. Just another annoying thing about Disney owning star wars🙃
This could've been a Force User occult pack. Like the Vampires one, for example, and that would have been fun even for non-SW fans as it wouldn't require lore knowledge to play. And The Force is one of the most iconic aspects of SW and thus recognizable enough to non-fans as well. But nope, theme park ads clearly are the better call acc to the Sims team 😂😂
I usually use the magic pack for elves since the mages have elf ear options. I have an elf family and I don't have them using any of the brooms or wands. They're just "elves" Idk, I've interpreted the bloodline thing as the sims being descendents of elves
I’m so happy she’s being straight forward about all the lackluster things about this pack. Also who would’ve guessed that the alien things are just masks and not actual updates. Not me!
I used to work at Disney in the early stages of Galaxy's Edge, and this pack is blatantly the aspects of the land that didn't make it to the real place. Honestly, I am CONVINCED Disney approached EA, EA saw $$$, and then forced the Sims team make it.
Milk Sims yeah, and I don’t believe that for a second. They are trying to feel better about it. Literally google early concepts of the land yourself. You were supposed to be able to wander around, develop a reputation based on choices you make, and characters who interact with you would do so dependent on your reputation. This pack was not the idea, conception, or creation of the sims team. In fact, the specific things about the land you CAN’T do, is Disney protecting their IPs. If the sims team *really* had any creative control why wouldn’t they add on to the already existing alien system.
@@cassieb2813 I think you can still do some of this in the parks, like building your reputation with one side by playing the Datapad game on your phone. It takes you through Galaxy's Edge to complete missions and scan stuff, but that's it. You don't really interact with characters based on your reputation in the world.
Emily Ketterer correct, I’ve been there, but it still is a watered down sims pack because Disney is so protective of their IPs and likely didn’t give EA/Sims devs any creative license. :-( They probably even had approved color swatches. This whole thing reeks of a cash grab by both EA and Disney and it’s disappointing.
Emily Ketterer and on top of that, lol, it was supposed to be connected to your MagicBand and stuff, and use the RFID tech, and be fully immersive. It’s honestly sad what we didn’t get IRL, and it’s even worse to see it blatantly re-hashed in the sims :-(
Thanks so much for your honesty jesse! I have a bachelor in marketing and used the sims 4's packs as the subject of an entire analysis of What Not To Do a couple years ago lol. kind of amazing to see it only get worse with time. they're milking the cow dry before she inevitably dies from dehydration imo- its unsustainable. i've been playing sims for 15 years and still do, so i really want to see the franchise continue and do well. But they seem to have no idea who the bulk of their audience is, have used a product development tactic that is doomed to fail and is ethically questionable, along with poorly communicated pr and marketing comms; which is all incredibly disappointing for a franchise that used to have marketing & prod development that i admired. tbf it makes for a very interesting case study lol. anyway love the content babe, big respect for the honesty, ur vids light up my lockdown days xxx
Whilst I'd say geek and nerd would be interchangeable with this, the fact there's NO traits is ridiculous. We've been crying for more traits, they could have TOTALLY used this to release more traits that relate to geekiness and such. It's just... it's ridiculous.
For the umpteenth time - Disney did not pay EA to make this game. EA paid Disney for the license to make Star Wars games. So EA said hey there is a new park, let's make a game like the park to lure in new players and make a buck.
This pack was nothing but a joke, I’m so done and won’t buy another pack from this game even if they fix what the community wants they’re only doing it to make more money if it becomes a pack. Babies, various skin tones REALISTIC skin tones, preteens, cars, etc should already be on the game and not charged 20 dollars for things we should already have. I knew those aliens were nothing but costumes....
This doesn’t look like it’s trying to be an alien world. It looks like it’s trying to be a theme park attraction for your Sims to visit. Hm, that’s funny, I wonder why.
Except it's lacking any kind of actual attraction. You could make a proper Disney World ad if you put this set dressing into Planet Coaster and build something in it
at the very least with strangerville, you could use the items and CAS outside of that pack, with this pack it's literally only for that world. also no improved aliens in a STAR WARS pact? you have to be shitting me. the "aliens" are just sims with a mask on .... wow the minimum effort jesus.
Yeah, I think strangerville worked so well because it blended well and had items that you could easily incorporate into your regular gameplay. I use the build/buy stuff regularly. This star wars stuff just ain't it
I mean, also, I know a lot of people don't like Strangerville, but it's at least original and you can actually make it more customizable. This just feels like a pay-to-play advertisment for Star Wars.
@@nerdoftheatre Strangervile was easily my least liked pack but at least the bb and CAS items are nice and useful. But what should i do with this pack? So far i saw hardly anything i'd know how to use outside this small SW world.
To be fair, if they had been aliens - wouldnt it mean you would be required to have Get To Work? It seems like there would be similar hate with that as there was with my first pets stuff aka having to buy a whole other pack to even get to use the assets in the new one.
It’s funny to me when they said “we understand you want generations, baby updates etc...it’s not that, but it is Star Wars” like they literally acknowledged what we wanted, and went such an opposite direction...🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
@@sunday4419 they could have added them again with this game pack, vampires came with Sims 3 latenight, and they came improved with supernatural, so...
sorry but if you get packs for free and praise them just for the sake of “being positive” you’re encouraging your viewers to spend their hard earned money on a pack that is absolutely not worth the money. the only game changer i trust is jesse. i’m sick of the others who blatantly lie or act like there’s no problem with the sims releasing more unfinished packs when there’s enough lacking in the game as is. and acting neutral and not pointing out good or bad points is not a review and does not help your viewers either. i wish deligracy would cut the bullshit of being miss positive and speaking up only when it suits, she had nothing to say on the lack of skin tones for darker sims but quick to comment on people being angry for spending their hard earned money on shite.
kyaroru trois yes she’s so honest and aware that most players have to work hard to earn their money to buy the game. if it’s not worth the money she will say it unlike others who are scared to say it’s not worth it for some reason 🤷🏼♀️
I feel like ea are realising that they aren't gonna be able to monopolise on the life simulation game market forever so they're testing the waters for things like this to see if expansions based on existing things like star wars are successful, that way the sims to life simulation games can be like smash bros to fighting games It's a reach but at the same time, I wouldn't put it past ea.
The guns is so left field of the sims to me lmao. They made the series more child friendly and then added GUNS. Add robbers too! Add dangerous shit! I want a pack like Sims 3 Ambitions. Not just active careers, but “risky, dangerous” careers. You could blow stuff up and haunt ghosts- I’m ranting... anyway why even add guns for the stormtroopers if they’re not using them?
@@Echoingsunflowers981 But actually, for the aesthetics. Storm troopers always carry guns with them in the movies, I guess you can say it's part of their "costume"
Plumbella not having a clue of how you play this pack is the representation of the majority of the sims community. If you're not a fan of this franchise, it will be absolutely hard to play through the actual storyline, and that is disappointing as well because you can't enjoy anything from it. You can't put an entire science-fiction franchise in a life simulation game like this and expect that the majority of people would like it when the majority of the community isn't even a star wars fan. They messed up very big with this one smh EDIT: thanks for the likes, follow me on insta if you want at @ vogualex 😳👉🏻👈🏻
And even then actual star wars fans aren't happy with it. Honestly outside of the absolute diehard fans who absolutely have to have everything star wars I don't see people actually getting and enjoying the pack. It's going to be a pack people will forget about until it's on sale like a year from now and even they'll contemplate getting it but not actually get it because let's face it, it's not worth it even at a discounted price.
I agree, I think it’s designed to bring new players into the game. Because Star Wars is so popular they can drag people in to spend more money on packs when they’re hooked...
8:00 I recently got the realm of magic pack and I was so disappointed by it for similar reasons. The magic realm just feels so...empty. The "Garden" area is literally a debug building with nothing intractable, the shops are simple and most of them are just debug buildings too, and the main building felt too big. There's not even anything to do around-magic is so fun and you can break so many rules with it, but instead I got that. Anyways thanks for listening to me ramble hens, I completely agree with Jess' opinion (however I could call it factual conclusion) on the pack
I went to the magic realm once to turn one sim into a spellcaster and then never went back. the whole place feels so wrong. I was so excited for my magic storyline but the feeling in that realm is SO off :/
@@ajknight8640 There are a couple of lots on the gallery you can use instead of Magical HQ, but they certainly didn't give that one to a good builder, that much is for sure. It could be looking much better, if they'd tried a little.
The animations aren't new. The items are soooo many but absolutely pointless and most don't do anything and don't fit with the other packs. The outfits are ridiculous and only fit this pack. What did they add exactly? -A game table (which we already had) which takes your credits. -Asking about stuff (just chatting /identical to any chatting interaction) -Digging for things (already in the game) -Bars and drinking (already in the game) -Rockets /animations for going on a disappearing rocket (already in the game) -rabbit holes for needs instead of HOTELS WHICH IS A FAN FAVOURITE -sword* fights... (we could already do this in get famous)+ no one ever gets hurt... no consequences, no real evil, no real fights They gave us 3 stupid sliders and copies of items from the star wars universe, not sims...
Wow. This pack makes My First Pet Stuff look positively *scintillating*. They're really trying to get simmers to buy an advertisement with the depth of a maze printed on the back of a cereal box...
People often hate on My First Pet Stuff, but it was one of the bestselling stuff packs for a long time. It SHOULD have been a part of the Cats and Dogs expansion pack, but at least it’s cute and a really good marketing move on their part. We’ll see how well this goes for them, however I feel like this won’t be it. It isn’t what most sims players are looking for, this barely feels like a pack. It’s just an expensive ad.
at least my first pet stuff actually had a few good items, I use some of the stuff for children's bedrooms and especially the cat trees a lot... i can't see myself using any of this pack's stuff apart from the hair but I'll wait until a cc creator releases those instead of buying this pack
This is worse. It might even be the worst pack in the entire franchise's 20-year history. Bottom of the barrel low. The overall game itself is already subpar, and now this.
I'm a huge Star Wars fan so I was pretty excited when I first heard word of there being a Sims 4 Star Wars gamepack. I was thinking force using and lightsaber skill lines, Jedi, Sith, and Bounty Hunter career tracks, new star wars themed world to live, work & play (perhaps with 3 or 4 different "neighbourhoods" of a city/Coruscant, jungle/forest, and desert style that have actual home lots and commercial lots). There is honestly so many things the EA team could have done with this theme and it feels like they didn't even try to make something you could play for longer than 10 minutes.

A Simple Koala right??? I agree!!! It deserved WAY better than this. This whole pack really is such a shameless ad it’s terrible
“aesthetically is stunning but it’s the inside that counts and there’s nothing” basically the sims 4 in a nutshell

Why lilsimsie didn’t get it?
imho, without being salty, in lilsimsie's take on the sw gp, i felt like she was invalidating what the majority thought and kinda of was being manipulative. She was saying how she doesn't like the pack nor cares to play it, but yet shes curious and so should i be and possibly buy it but yet shes getting it for free......it came off like that. It just didn't feel right intuitively.
maidofthemisty yeah honestly when she liked the trailer in the beginning of that video because she “felt bad” for them. Like bruh come onnnn
I feel like this shouldn't be a gamepack, but a separate game like the Sims 2 medieval.
I agree!!
yeah and then they could put more effort in it
U mean sims medieval which came around sims 3. Sims castaway is what came during sims 2
Definitely. If they were gonna make it a pack the only way it could’ve been fleshed out enough would be if it was an expansion pack, and that would’ve been a waste of an expansion pack lol. A separate game would be the best route to go.
The Sims Medieval was released during TS3 era, not TS2.
*This pack was a cash grab for EA via Disney and nothing more.* Listening to the money, & not their players.
preeeeeeeach
Modders are working 100% on their own schedules on the pieces that THEY want to work on, they don't have to take on anything else at a time if they don't want to, they don't have higher-ups to report to, and they don't have to worry about if what they put out is usable on every single computer that can run the Sims 4. There's no excuse for skin tones at this point, but cars and babies and bunk beds are completely different.
Meghan Stanley EA can take as long as they want but taking a short minute to make low quality pack for $40 and then constantly update everyday is useless. I rather them take a year for quality then 2 month for trash. :/

Burglars? “Too traumatizing wah.” Guns? “Yes.”
If that isn't the USA tho...
😔😔This comment made me legitimately sad. Too true..
Fun fact: Many action-oriented children's cartoons give the bad guys laser/blaster type weapons because real guns that fire real bullets would be scarier and draw more complaints from angry parents.
Hear me out - burglars, but can be toggled on/off
I mean it's an American life simulator so it makes sense
How did they manage to make this pack horrible for fans AND non-fans of the franchise??? It’s confusing for anyone who hasn’t watched the movies and yet extremely shallow/superficial for everyone who has. Great job EA! 0/10
Agreed. I'm a huge fan of both Sims and Star Wars and this pack has me feeling very cynical. I don't want it.
This pack was based on concepts from Galaxy’s Edge that didn’t make into the actual land. Look up early concept ideas for the land online and you’ll see where it comes from. Disney wanted to see through their Star Wars investment, and approached EA with a payday to bring to life what they failed to do.
4evxrglow luv s a m e
I cannot express enough how refreshing it is to have a game changer that isn’t just constantly singing the praises of undeniably mediocre packs
yessss, i love a lot of youtubers (not naming names there’s too many lmao ) however a lot of them are just ignoring the problems and issues like oOoOooH sTaR wArS tHiS iS coOl i lOvE sTaR wArS but then they play it once then don’t touch it again

Jesse is literally most genuine game changer ever, honestly I don't think there's anyone like our cancer queen and we love to see it!!
You know the pack is bad when Plumbella’s “hey hens” opening has no life to it hahahaha

🤫 They might actually make it and make it even lower quality.
still a better idea than starwars
now imagine how much better this could have been if it was a theme park pack, with star wars stuff sprinkled in. something people would actually find enjoyable to integrate into their gameplay, instead of a self-contained advertisement lmao
yeeeees

Omg yes I want a theme park in the Sims 4!
Us: ok maybe this pack will improve aliens and give them more depth at least
The sims team: ALIEN MASKS ALIEN MASKS ALIEN MASKS ALIEN MASKS
The only thing that would’ve made me buy this 😭
@@kingxxlibra Same.
True.. I don't know why I expected so much, it's EA after all 😭
This comment embodies everything I've been feeling for the sims team since Strangerville 😭
This comment is how I felt from the day I bought the Sims 4
This! You took the words right out of my mouth.. I honestly open up TS4,play for about 20mins then log off..
Sims 4 is basically like when you buy a house and the paint and windows and all that look great, but when you finally move in, you notice everything is either a mess, broken, or just not there.
You’ve hit the nail on the head!
When I saw the "aliens" I yelled masks, and I am pleased as well to know I was right. EA just wants money.
I hear ya. I had people argue me when that My First Pet Stuff came out that there's no way EA would make it so you needed Cats and Dogs for it. Lol.
how much you wanna bet the masks dont even have swatches
Id just like to point out that excluding this pack, sims 4 as a whole is $600 usd. For me its $1000. I could buy a FULL game for $20 - $40. They have NO excuse when they are charging this much for a single game. Enough is enough.
Whew

And this is the TREND with Sims 4.
That is the state of things with TS4 right now.
just asking, not criticizing/making an angry comment or anything, but since you have automatonophobia how did you manage to play ts2 and ts1?

We still can’t even save apartments to the gallery 🙃
Right? You gotta take a wall out of each room in order to save it as a room! That's ridiculous!
And build new apartments 😍😍
I can't even fully express how mad I was that I can't make my own real apartment building. You can do a lame want to be, but I wanted it like sims 2. There is so much wasted space in the ones you can't upload. Drives me crazy.
You also can't remove the goddamned TLC trait from any of them that start with it, even if you renovate the place. Same with the historic trait. Would be cool if TS4 actually had any lore to go with it, but instead it just eats up wall space and forces me to put mirrors and paintings in awkward spots.

I actually kinda happy about it, at least it's not gonna mess with the base game, like eco-living did. I loathe community voting
Cherries and wine the thing is the Star Wars concepts received the least amount of votes. Literally no one wanted this game pack expect for EA and Disney 😭

robdude999 honestly as much as Disney is a part of my childhood I don’t fuck with them anymore.

Sheghostly ooh that’s a good idea!
Disney vacation world would have actually been cool. Imagine all of the things there would be for kids to do with their families!
I actually wouldn't be surprised if the next expansion pack is a theme park pack like Disney world XD
A Disney Park pack with a vacation world sounds really fun tbh. They could've just done that. Who wouldn't want to send their Sims family to Disney World?
the star wars pack is honestly just that one witcher quote about eating a pie and finding there to be no filling
wow EA & Disney really just looked at their blueprints for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney World/Disneyland and said "copy paste!" huh. it's literally just a virtual version of what you'd see in the Disney parks LOL
Yeah, a user in one of the comments up above even said the reputation/quest gameplay is a copy-paste job of the early Galaxy's Edge concepts: the attraction was gonna have you go on quests for the Rebels/First Order/Scoundrels and develop a reputation. It's hilarious.

Wasnt sims 3 always empty? And needed more townies.
I am seriously considering redownloading the sims 3 and just playing that forever.
Stop being money hungry and tend to the people that funded the game ... for years.
And that pack should be free
That’ll never happen sorry hen
I also feel like you should have more genders and be able to chose your sexuality.
Right like no traits ??? But I’m not surprised anymore ...

@@tatyanaaurinko2288 makes you wonder why they actually ask
I like star wars. I like the sims. I did not ask for this. I would never ask for this. If I want a star wars game, I'll just play an actual star wars game. I saw the trailer and just asked "...but why???"
They could have made it fun even for people who don't like star wars but they missed so many opportunities :/
I don't want a baby pack :) Babies won't fix Sims 4
I want an occult pack. So do lots of others. When do we get listened to?
"The Star Wars propaganda pack." CALL DISNEY OUT (and also EA).
FOR REAL
If we needed a disney shill it should have been princesses (even tho blech) because thats a whole popular actual sims 4 challenge
Yeah, lego star wars original trilogy is better
They need to bring their game up and release a new generations or something
Plumbella and LGR are basically the only ones I watch for sims reviews anymore. The majority are so far up EA’s rear end just to get free packs. It’s absurd
exactly! I love her honest opinion that's why I'm not going to buy this pack and I hope you won't buy it too! they need to start losing money so that they will actually start caring!. she's literally the only RUclipsr I trust... the other's have lost it tbh ... they would sell their souls to the devil to get free packs -_-. we are paying so we should be in control, not EA !!! all it takes is for us to help each other out so that we can get the actual packs we want ! . boycott the company for god's sake I'm so sick of these recent packs.. the game is boring on its own and they are doing everything to make it worse! .
She didn't say "diddly" in her intro...Jesse's been THROUGH IT hennies 😭
Plumbella and LGR are some of the only simmers that I completely trust with sims reviews :)
The alien heads being masks vs alien skin detail was the one thing I was holding out on. I DO want improved aliens and I DO NOT want townie randos wearing costumes. Sorry EA my wallet is staying closed.
lol such a good point, all the NPC's are going to look insane.
Surely some benevolent modding God will descend from the heavens and fix that
same exactly the same.. when she showed the masks i was fuming like i want actual aliens not clowns wearing fucking masks
"A badly done advertisement campaign..."
This is exactly what this pack feels like. I thought this pack was gonna be super good, even though I wasn't a fan of Star Wars, but it seems just as visually focused as the rest of the sims 4 is.
We want depth. We want lore. We want better gameplay.
Agreed. It's like walking through a painting or a 3D art project. It's all very beautiful but there's nothing to do but admire.
Same. Since It is a disney pack I was at least expecting something decent since I thought disney would at least pour some money into the pack. But no, it’s just as shallow as most sims 4 packs
the sims 4 is dead... putting all my hopes into paralives
i think it's really interesting how the "planet" was said to be a very hot planet (as said by SimGuruRomeo i believe) because of the three suns, but nearly all of the clothes are in layers. If that were real, I would have a heat stroke immediately haha
Honestly I don’t think that I would download this pack even if it was free 💀
Same tbh, seems like a lot of hassle with no payoff. If i wanted a star wars game I'd just buy that, and it would probably have a lot more gameplay
fr like y wouldi update my pirated version to permanently have this crap in it

I would like everyone to take a second to think about how EA wants us to pay $20 for this.
Pay 20 bucks for an ad :)
I was thinking $10 was too much, that is ridiculous.... Arg, thank you for your information as well. I hope you have a wonderful day. :)
@April Mercer Thank you, you too as well. :D
25, idk how it is for other platforms but on pc at least there's a whole 5 dollars fee😔
@Yrets TV that's why I only spent like AU$18 recently on Steam to get The Sims 3 and a couple of the more popular expansion packs. Sure I like the idea of the game, but I'm not going to haemorrhage money just for stuff packs and other things that don't really add value and playability to the game.
They have so many layered clothes but still no ability to actually layer different items so we can just do it ourselves
Yes! If we can't get color wheel, at least let us layer
especially when it's been in the game before. what was it-the urbz, maybe?
It's something that frustrates me a lot with create-a-sim. I am pretty confident I could create banger outfits with just the items in the game. But since it's not possible, I always rely on cc for at least a bare minimum. Skin tones, hair and shoes can take a sim from drab to fab. (Especially skin tones. Check out Remussirion on The Sims resource, he is honestly super talented. I swear you won't regret it)
I remember on sims 2 pets you could layer clothing. It would be cool if instead of changing clothes when it gets cold you could just put on a sweater.
They're just "elves"
Idk, I've interpreted the bloodline thing as the sims being descendents of elves
Cassie B well, SimGuru Lyndsay said it was her idea, and also Ninja is a huge fan of Star Wars, so... 🤡
The lack of traits is so disapponting. Nerd trait would've gone well with this pack or something. Anything 😓
well there is already geek
Everthing about this pack is disappointing and I am not surprised.
Whilst I'd say geek and nerd would be interchangeable with this, the fact there's NO traits is ridiculous. We've been crying for more traits, they could have TOTALLY used this to release more traits that relate to geekiness and such.
It's just... it's ridiculous.
A jedi trait would have made sense
It's good that there is no trait with it that means one more reason not to buy the pack
They really just took the Disney bucks and ran.
LMFAO
I agree with everything you said except for Preteens. We've literally never had preteens, so we can't add it to the list of things we deserve in game.
Skintones are being fixed
pandakatiefominz I mean.. we could say we deserve them for fucking around with us and milking every penny from their player base
I only pack expansions on eBay game codes now lmao most of the time they’re way cheaper
This doesn’t look like it’s trying to be an alien world. It looks like it’s trying to be a theme park attraction for your Sims to visit. Hm, that’s funny, I wonder why.
That's what it is. At least to me.
Actually its quite faithful to Batuu
*cough* an advertisement to disneyworld *cough*
Except it's lacking any kind of actual attraction. You could make a proper Disney World ad if you put this set dressing into Planet Coaster and build something in it
....
at the very least with strangerville, you could use the items and CAS outside of that pack, with this pack it's literally only for that world. also no improved aliens in a STAR WARS pact? you have to be shitting me. the "aliens" are just sims with a mask on .... wow the minimum effort jesus.
@@nerdoftheatre very true and i love the world of strangerville!
That’s disappointing the aliens are just masks that’s a lazy cope out
Ikr, I was at least hoping that aliens get an improvement
Can’t say I was surprised.
But honestly, did we really expect anything different?
@@sunday4419 they could have added them again with this game pack, vampires came with Sims 3 latenight, and they came improved with supernatural, so...
Lucho Gojim then get to work is kinda pointless because the careers are kinda bland except a few cool items in the science career
"should be bonehilda" i felt that
sorry but if you get packs for free and praise them just for the sake of “being positive” you’re encouraging your viewers to spend their hard earned money on a pack that is absolutely not worth the money. the only game changer i trust is jesse. i’m sick of the others who blatantly lie or act like there’s no problem with the sims releasing more unfinished packs when there’s enough lacking in the game as is. and acting neutral and not pointing out good or bad points is not a review and does not help your viewers either. i wish deligracy would cut the bullshit of being miss positive and speaking up only when it suits, she had nothing to say on the lack of skin tones for darker sims but quick to comment on people being angry for spending their hard earned money on shite.
god i thought all game changers sucked on EA but jesse changed my mind. im SO glad she speaks the truth and doesnt hold back
kyaroru trois yes she’s so honest and aware that most players have to work hard to earn their money to buy the game. if it’s not worth the money she will say it unlike others who are scared to say it’s not worth it for some reason 🤷🏼♀️

Honestly, not even Star Wars propaganda, just the Disney Star Wars park portion.
not star wars propaganda lol this is disney world propaganda 😂
lol Or both! Gotta make that $€£¥!
I feel like ea are realising that they aren't gonna be able to monopolise on the life simulation game market forever so they're testing the waters for things like this to see if expansions based on existing things like star wars are successful, that way the sims to life simulation games can be like smash bros to fighting games
It's a reach but at the same time, I wouldn't put it past ea.
For the ✨aesthetics✨
@@Echoingsunflowers981 But actually, for the aesthetics. Storm troopers always carry guns with them in the movies, I guess you can say it's part of their "costume"

Tge important question is - Can we get killed by their pew pew guns? 🤔
They messed up very big with this one smh
EDIT: thanks for the likes, follow me on insta if you want at @ vogualex 😳👉🏻👈🏻
And even then actual star wars fans aren't happy with it. Honestly outside of the absolute diehard fans who absolutely have to have everything star wars I don't see people actually getting and enjoying the pack.
It's going to be a pack people will forget about until it's on sale like a year from now and even they'll contemplate getting it but not actually get it because let's face it, it's not worth it even at a discounted price.
This should have been a free event update since it's just an ad. A Star Wars ad for Simmers and a Sims ad for Star Wars fans.
i feel like this pack is 100% catered towards ppl who will only have this pack & base game lol

Emily as a star wars fan, we don’t want this either. I’d rather buy my first pet stuff than this lmao
I agree, I think it’s designed to bring new players into the game. Because Star Wars is so popular they can drag people in to spend more money on packs when they’re hooked...
i have never seen the star wars movies but i love this as a space pack! think outside the box!

"The Star Wars Propaganda Pack" is the best way to put it.

I recently got the realm of magic pack and I was so disappointed by it for similar reasons.

God I hate ROM so so so much. I don't really regret any of the other packs I've bought, but that one I do for sure.
The animations aren't new. The items are soooo many but absolutely pointless and most don't do anything and don't fit with the other packs. The outfits are ridiculous and only fit this pack.

-A game table (which we already had) which takes your credits.
-Asking about stuff (just chatting /identical to any chatting interaction)
-Digging for things (already in the game)
-Bars and drinking (already in the game)
-Rockets /animations for going on a disappearing rocket (already in the game)
-rabbit holes for needs instead of HOTELS WHICH IS A FAN FAVOURITE
-sword* fights... (we could already do this in get famous)+ no one ever gets hurt... no consequences, no real evil, no real fights
They gave us 3 stupid sliders and copies of items from the star wars universe, not sims...
Swords*
I can't believe they rabbit holed NEEDS. this is a life sim, needs are literally the reason to play it!!
You pay $20 to get advertised crap.
EA Games...
Simmers: we want more RPG features, like farming. EA: here’s a pack that probably 90% of our demographic doesn’t relate to nor want
Wow. This pack makes My First Pet Stuff look positively *scintillating*. They're really trying to get simmers to buy an advertisement with the depth of a maze printed on the back of a cereal box...
at least my first pet stuff got hedgehogs
People often hate on My First Pet Stuff, but it was one of the bestselling stuff packs for a long time. It SHOULD have been a part of the Cats and Dogs expansion pack, but at least it’s cute and a really good marketing move on their part. We’ll see how well this goes for them, however I feel like this won’t be it. It isn’t what most sims players are looking for, this barely feels like a pack. It’s just an expensive ad.
Hey at least the maze on the box is fun, can't say the same for the sims 4...
i'd rather replay the same cereal box maze for months than pay $20 for this piece of shit 🥰
I think we have found our "my first pet stuff" number 2
And katy Perry sweet treats
my first pet stuff has more replay value
at least my first pet stuff actually had a few good items, I use some of the stuff for children's bedrooms and especially the cat trees a lot... i can't see myself using any of this pack's stuff apart from the hair but I'll wait until a cc creator releases those instead of buying this pack
This is worse. It might even be the worst pack in the entire franchise's 20-year history. Bottom of the barrel low. The overall game itself is already subpar, and now this.
my first pet stuff isn't even that bad. i love the blinds, the hamsters are also very cute and some of the items are good.
