    Could I use my one-dart sloper instead of a dartless ('t-shirt') sloper? If I leave the waist dart open?

      @@DianeDezieltoolfullyThanks for your comment ^^, I like your teaching style although you teach all in English. It is actually difficult to understand. for me, but very helpful. I drew this pattern a few days ago, and I found the upper sleeve is too wide. How can I do to make it narrower?

    Hi Diane. Do I close the shoulder darts before I start ?

    • @DianeDezieltoolfully
      @DianeDezieltoolfully  5 лет назад +1

      Hello Rina, If you block or style have a shoulder dart, you must close the dart to retrace the shoulder, than you could re open it to complete the pattern.

    Dear Diane, thank you for your amazing tutorials! I designed a top using this technique, I made it in a cotton popeline but it seems weak under the arm (where the bodice and sleeve match). Is this technique only available for knit (jersey etc..) ? Thanks again ;-)

    • @DianeDezieltoolfully
      @DianeDezieltoolfully  6 лет назад

      Hi Raphaëlle,
      This flat head sleeve technic could be used for both knit & woven, but since you have an inside corner, it might be the sewing that could be improve, next time try to create a pleat with the garment so you could sew & overlock all the way to the corner.
      Also, at about 3:31 when tracing the side seam, you coud add a little extension to the top par of the side seam, like 1 cm and curve it on about 5 cm, to reach the straight side seam that eliminate the corner.
      I hope this could help
      Diane

    What’s dropped shoulder???

    • @DianeDezieltoolfully
      @DianeDezieltoolfully  4 года назад +1

      Hello Zainab
      In fact, it is the top part of the armhole that is drop from the original position. Some time like on my beige wool top it's almost straight with the side seam.
      these fleece top are also drop shoulder.
