As one of two biggest INXS fans on the planet, how did I miss this? Oh yeah, my best friend who just died last week moved to VA and I lost my connection to new INXS music.
Elegantly Wasted is one of my all-time favourite albums as it is, but this should have made the cut. Utter fire.

I feel like Inxs could have turned 4 or 5 of these songs into big hits with slightly different lyrics. But apparently Michael never rewrote lyrics. Which is fair about but this tune is better than half the stuff on Elegantly Wasted easily.
@@thelad789 first 8 tracks on ew are excellent, the rest are ok...They still smouldered on this tour, this deserved a live performance

I'm so sorry Michael that you felt you needed to exit, you cried and called out for help, I'm sorry mate, why didn't they love you enough to get you help? You were so beautiful.
It kind of sounds like Michael might have been predicting his own death. But, I don't believe he was doing so. Nevertheless, he certainly was advertising how much he was hurting, all through Elegantly Wasted. Michael needed help, though how much good it would have done, I don't know, considering all the issues he was dealing with.

I hear "Respect Yourself" by The Staple Singers as an influence on this song. Maybe they should've done a medley with that?

Michael probably didn't like this one as it was too 'pub rock' as he used to say. He obviously thought 'Everything' was better. Even though that was a steaming pile of shit. I suppose when you're introverted and depressed that is the sort of 'subtlety'(another buzz word) that you think is brilliant.
I love this groove, I didn’t take to the last couple of tracks on ‘elegantly wasted’, and this should’ve replaced one. Would’ve been great live too
@@markdavidson9100 Yeah it would have been amazing live. If they just promo'd Bang that drum, I'm Just a Man and Elegantly Wasted for the album I think album sales would have been a lot stronger. The word nuse should have probably been changed though, especially live.
