    What a lovely interview and tour of this magnificent and heavenly place on earth. Rafael's creativity is always so inspiring and shows us how easy it is ... "simple, country, luxury." Love the pink velvet chairs and how the greenery is not balanced or placed even across the mantle. Thank you, Janey and great videography, Jason.

    OMG, what a fabulous tour - thank you Janey for sharing the "inside scoop" once again on Park WInters. If I lived in the area, I would be visiting on a regular basis. Rafael is wonderful - so creative and inspiring. Those trees! What an inspiration for gardeners - I'm planting amaranth this year just for the Christmas decoration opportunities 🥰 Thanks to both of you for your enthusiasm and creativity - happy holidays!🌲🌺🌲❤❤❤

    Love, love, love Park Winters! Rafael is amazing and his creativity is through the roof. I was able to visit and do a workshop there last summer after watching your video tour of the property. I had the pleasure of meeting Rafael and learned that we went to the same High School in South Florida. I know I will continue to visit Park Winters as often as I can. Thank you Janey for putting so much love in all you do. I was one of your first followers and have learned so much from you. Hope you and your lovely family have a very Merry Christmas and are blessed abundantly in the New Year. 🎄❤🎄

    Rafael has some Johnny Depp vibes going on with his attire and the way he talks. Artfully thoughtful. Speaking of art, I love that Park Winters highlights abstract art in their 160 yr old property. Too cool! I've seen dried flower/herb Christmas trees before, but Park Winters is a cut above the rest! And the 1865 main house and manager's house are beautiful inside and out. Ok, enough gushing, I'm heading over to the website. Thanks for the link, Janie!

    The tree....is that thing that looks like a russet potato actually a pinecone? LOL! I did woodland theme tree this year and although I'm enjoying it, I think it needs a bit more color next year. So, this tree was inspirational with the dried florals. I think that's what I'm missing. OK, I'm only 55 seconds into the video, so let me stop and keep watching! ;-)

    I need your help. I’m in zone 10a. San Carlos on the San Francisco peninsula. We get warm summers with maybe a week or so of mid 90’s to 100+ but most summer days we have the fog roll in during the evening. Do you know of any instagramers for zone 10? I follow you and Laura of Garden Answers but would love someone closer to my zone. Thank you.

    I am not into feng shui but if someone is, dried florals is a big no no. They believe death brings bad energy so they do not have anything dried or dead in the home. I really need to do fresh garland and greenery in my home.

    • @eileenchang2173
      @eileenchang2173 День назад +3

      I am familiar with Feng Shui. Interesting enough there are many design principles that embrace Feng Shui principles. Personally, I feel that it all comes down to the psychological effect or energy one gets from the environment, whether it be internal or external. One could certainly go totally hard, hat, but I’m a logical person and many of the principles do make sense from a safety perspective, and from an energy perspective, for example, one would not want a mirror reflecting Garbage receptacles. If one combines common sense, safety, and design then one is not bound to all what is lost in translation, “rules”.
      As a gardener, I do have my dried hydrangeas in the home, but I do discard it after a while because they are dust collectors. I guess we need to find the beauty and joy where we can.🥰🇨🇦
