- Pro-Palestinian protests and encampments have been continuing at Columbia for seven days, and the protests have been growing in other places, like NYU. CBS New York's Jenn Bisram and Mahsa Saeidi reports.

The protestors in the encampment were not violent but the police were falsely told that the students posed "a clear and present danger" and to arrest everyone. Such draconian measures should have been reserved for violent and threatening protesters (who exist on both sides of this issue.) The Columbia president also evicted students, who were not accused of any violent acts, from student housing without due process, essentially unilaterally breaking a legal contract and throwing 18 and 19 year olds onto the streets.
