what broke my heart the most, is the way paimon acted. ruu was stuck on that island, where the event of his sacrifice is stuck on a time loop, going on and on for a millenia. paimon knew how horrible that must have been for ruu, so she asked ruu to come with us. she knew that he cannot leave, after all, hes still part of the leyline disorder. but she still insisted. paimon was just hoping that he would at least agree. she was hoping that she could show ruu whats it like outside the fog. to show him all the wonders of the world. she wanted to grant ruu happiness, she wanted ruu to feel free. even for little bit. ruu responded. he said he will always be in all our adventures, but as part of the feather. paimon went silent. ruu was saying his goodbye, it was time for farewell.... ruu mustve known what would happen if he leave the island. he didnt want paimon to feel sad or blame herself of what would happen. so, as he feels a connection with the feather, he rejected paimons offer by telling us hes always with us thru the feather. im sure paimon wanted to cry, but she didnt want it to be the last thing ruu would see before he leaves. sad paimon breaks my heart.

I finally got over Teppei... Now Ruu... Just finished the quest today and cried like hell. Idk but when I hear this audio and think of Ruu I end up crying all over again 😭
I really wished that he was an npc on the island at that location, but I knew he was gonna leave. I left the island and went back to check on him, and of course, he was gone. I got so attached with Ruu too. It was heartbreaking to leave an NPC that you really like. :(
The Pinion that Ruu left to us gave me a new motivation. Everyday since the quest ended, I make sure to walk to all my destinations, and every so often I'll activate the pinion. I know it says that there's nothing to trigger, but I have this hope that maybe... Just maybe, Ruu also gets to see what we see whenever I use the pinion. I want Ruu to see the world with us, and if it means running from Dragonspine all the way to Liyue so I can show Ruu the rest of Teyvat, then so be it.
I know I am late but I just want to say that this is exactly what I'm doing 'till now. Sunday, for me, is weekly bosses sched and just plain farming and adventuring. I usually use Klee every Sunday, make her run havoc over Teyvat while equipping the pinion.
The fact that paimon insisted ruu should come with us even went out as further as saying paimon will introduce him to klee so they can play together as someone their age 😭😭

I fucking love Teppei but with Ruu's song, the whole sadness really felt more impact full. I'm so glad to see the npc characters are getting some more spotlight recently, for it feels way more natural this way.
Inazuma world quests broke me man. And then The chasm's archon quest double whammied me right after. My sister found me sobbing on the couch for Halfdan.
The moment I heard Ruu singing. It hits me so hard. I was almost bursting into tears and now I’m falling in love with this song. One of my favorite so far in Genshin.
I was very emotional during Ruu's story quest. Mihoyo keep up the good work, we need more world quests like this (and please add voice acting to like the big world quests)
Ruu is sacrificed like more than thousands times, he was stuck in infinite time loop of Ceremony and Ruu wasn't Illusion like other NPC of Tsurumi island it was his consciousness. He have suffered more than anyone else. (if you have watched Re:zero Anime then you would get the Idea.) He was still believing that in every ceremony he did something wrong and thunderstorm comes, that's why he was ready to sacrifice himself everytime to make everyone in village happy for receiving thunderbird blessing.
Imagine getting killed, skinned, getting your bones ripped out to be given to the thunderbird for hundreds of years and experiencing it all over again. Imagine that happening to your best friend for hundreds of years. That's what Ruu and the thunderbird felt. But Ruu felt the first part for hundreds more. This child has experienced so much pain. It makes me cry TT
I first found this song when I was switching the music in my teapot and I fell in love with it. So melancholic yet beautiful, just like the quest. Gorgeous cover, now I really want to practice this myself :D

Thx for the video, now i can play it to my gf.. she loves Ruu's song. First day of playing to people: Failed 7 times, quit world when i did mistake, Couldn't finish song with single person. Second day of playing to people: successfully played whole song with 6 people missed some small tunes but people never noticed haven't made a mistake once to the point its noticeable. I just needed a good sleep >.
I closed my eyes listening to such a fascinating tune, it made me realize how big of a trip Genshin Impact really is. All the good and bad, the worst and the best, it all makes it a really huge trip. All the things I've met up against or held close to, it all comes here. I appreciate this video from the bottom of my heart, and I deeply mean that. You made my day. :)
After 2 days i learned it, and after a week practicing i can play it without mitakes and at the ritme. I actually go co-op to high rank players that possibly know the song and play it for them. Honestly, Mondstadters are so lucky. On average, they have happier lives and suffer less tragedies compared to the horrors of Liyue and Inazuma. I could say that despite being an absentee god, Venti did a good job taking care of his nation.

After that Ruu asked if you want to listen to his song again and you agreed. After that there is a cutscene where Ruu sings his song while lying on your lap. When he was singing suddenly his body gave off light and his body was slowly fading away. And then when he finished singing the song, he said 'thank you' and then his body turned into a feather.... Damn i'm crying while writing this
