Lovely couple in a great city - my birthplace. It's inspiring to see how Manchester has transformed herself from the grimey place of the 70s, through the 'Madchester' era of The Smiths, New Order, Stone Roses, The Buzzcocks and others into what many now regard, quite rightly, as the UK"s Second City. She has vitality, charm, humour and resilience which has led one leading tour company recently to say that it is the only worthwhile city to visit in the UK next year. Go on, spoil yourself. You WILL have a great time and although I now live in southern France, I go back from time to time to recharge my cultural batteries. Even my Cockney wife is in love with the place - some acolade that!!!! 🐝🐝🐝🐝
Stuart dandy get your facts right, Manchester isn't the UK's second City, it has never been or will never be, you see the position of a City goes on the size of it's population only and the population size of the City of Manchester is only 560,000 citizens, now the actual second City f the UK and second largest City is a City called BIRMINGHAM which has a population of over 1.5 million citizens and the largest municipal council in Europe and is cognised by the Government as such, so living in France I wold suggest you do your research on what the UK's second City is.
@peterwilliamallen1063 not true. The inner city of Manchester has a population of 560,000 while the outer city including all the Boroughs and towns (rochdale, oldham, Stockport etc.) Has a population of 2.9m

I loved the video. Nicely made and edited with no annoying music like a lot have! I’m going to Manchester in a few days and this was very useful. Thanks! 😀👍🏼
Hey Syifa. It must be weird visiting the city under those conditions. I hope the conditions get better and you can enjoy your stay even more there. I'd be great to see you and Dave around here 🙂
Hey Karen! Yes it’s a bit odd but still fun roaming around. I am leaving in a week to Serbia for the next travel series. Hope you and your Dave are well. Funny that both of our partner’s names are Dave! Haha
Thanks Syifa and Dave for capturing both old and new Monchester' s beautiful shots, very famous for cotton and other mill, all over world , so far I heard its name only but today I saw it virtually with your travels and in sweet voice. Epidemic period has lost its glory is also very painful to Dave since he is aware of its past Glory. 🙏❤️😀
Haven't been there over 10 years, looks like there are lot of new infrastructures and buildings poping out. Always pleasure to be back to this city, hope you have enjoyed it.
The beauty of Manchester seemed a little different in the crowed of new and old buildings. The blue sky, reservoir and flower garden captured on your camera were wonderful. I hope this path of yours will be more aesthetic and beautiful.
I love the old industrial buildings as well. I'll be enjoying this UK series to see this cute couple. Dave indeed mastering the whole camera shots he's very pro since I'm his subscriber too and already seen his journey.
Have been following your boyfriend since he posted videos on Nepal, but haven’t seen much of him recently. Good to see him sharing the screen with you in this video. He is a good speaker so I wish he would post more videos on his own channel. I hope you are having a good time in chilly England.
Nice tour .......I live in Ancoats, just by the Northern Quarter, it's so vibrant at weekend's and during the summer, a lovely marina is nearby too .... as is the Etihad and Manchester City FC, who i support ..... and i can be in Piccadilly in less than five minutes, i'm that close. By the way guys music in Manchester didn't just start in the eighties and nineties ...... a fair number of groups and music artistes from the 1960s originated from the Manchester area too, such as Hermans Hermits, The Hollies, Freddie and the Dreamers, Davy Jones from the Monkees, and a few others ...... and the Bee Gees lived here for a while, so did John Mahoney from the US comedy ' Frasier', and Martin Lewis the 'money advice guy' from TV, amongst others.
indeed England is one of the greatest countries in Europe that has kept it's rich history , generation and many generations to come will be proud of what their grands have left , pretty amazing content.
A kind of nostalgia for me cause I used to paint Manchester red during the weekends when I was there. I loved the city. It's a fusion of old and new. Going to Trafford shopping center became a habit for us. Shopping at Primark, Arndale, and eating at a Chinese restaurant were our routines and of course the famous fish and chips of every pub. Indeed, Manchester is a place to visit.
Whenever I was in Machester, id never missed to go to Trafford Centre. It's a must-visit shopping centre of all UK imo. Miss the massive food court hall. Hope you can vlog there. I cant believe the town hall is still renovating. The last time I visited they were just about to start the renovation work and that was like 4-5 years ago
Hahaha thank you! Dave has an upcoming video about us chatting here and there, but he’s currently very occupied with his full time job so the video may be delayed. I will post it on the RUclips community tab/include it in the playlist once it’s published 🙂

I enjoy your experience in Manchester. I'm a fan of MU since 1981. But there's lot of places you have to go but it would have nice if you had shown the football stadium of Manchester United. But anyway thank you so much for sharing.
Hello Syifa. I hear that you're slowly picking up a nice British accent! I'm glad that you've found yourself such a nice English tour guide! lol. It looks like you're having fun, and enjoying this latest new adventure. Take care, and looking forward to watching more of your journey.
Haha thanks Santiago! I am sure the accent will disappear once I leave England. I tend to pick up any accent from the people I am surrounded with as languages feel like a habit and I learn by imitating a lot.
Thank you very much for complying with the request for adding Portuguese subtitles, Syifa. I will take charge of sharing your channel with more Brazilians. That's how I can contribute for now. As soon as I can, I will contribute in other ways too, because I love your content. 😊 (Again using the translator to write this. Sorry for any mistake.)

You have come to Manchester at very unfortunate time. All the areas you have visited today are very vibrant and full of life in normal time (had it not be pandemic lockdown). It’s a beautiful city.
Just info for you . It didn’t all start in northern quarter with bands . Most late 80,s 90,s bands played the academy , or ritz or boardwalk . Hacienda opened dry at late 80,s on Oldham street and it wasn’t even called the northern quarter then. The area was only recently developed in the last 15 yrs or so . Most of the bars have only sprung up since then. I used to eat there every Monday around 2004 to 2010 and that’s around the time bars starts springing up . Even today once Covid over they will generally play academy, ritz, gorilla, deaf institute.
