Yeah I'm still not sure what to think about the 1 tank thing. Back in the day I was playing a lot of dva mostly with an off tank playstyle. Roaming around to high ground where the enemy was flanking or annoying the enemy's snipers are just a few things you cant really do anymore. Because you always have to stay with your team now, you cant leave, there is no choice or decision making in playing tank anymore. Your just there existing and hoping that your dps and healers are better then the enemies. Idk maybe I'm wrong but that's my first impression as a longtime tank player.

This version of Doom would probably work in 6v6 as an off tank, but considering he’s your only choice in role queue, you’d be better off playing someone else
While your team should’ve pushed more, you have the highest mobility there. You can’t ask where your team is when you decided to dive on your own while their dps is on your team

i never was good with him in overwatch 1 but i dont think he's as bad as you make it seem. Pretty much just slam into the back line use the punch then the shield and if you take enough damage while shielding you get another free punch. Plus his shotgun reloads faster. ive only used him in quickplay but he doesnt seem bad by any means. The punch does less damage but now you can punch multiple enemies and with a full charge they get sent really far making him especially good in overtime scenarios

The damage diff from OW 1 & 2 are very different there was a couple of times where ZBRA should've took out the whole team if it was OW 1 it would've been over

There's so much fucking burst damage in this game, especially with only one tank now, that most DPS and Tanks can easily melt people under the right hands. Heaven forbid if it's a high-mobility hero because lack of CC means they can get away with everything. Tracer, Genji, Widow, Lucio, Zarya, Bastion, Ball, Ashe, Soldier, Sojourn, Junkrat, and more can just erase people and/or be a constant nuisance. My point being, Doomfist's OW1 damage potential wasn't anything out of the ordinary. People just got butthurt when they were on the recieving end of it and needing something to blame other than their own lack of skill, awareness, and teamwork. If people had issues with Doom then they should have had issues with pretty much the entire game when many heroes can one shot, one clip, or burst.

Im powering through this. Technically a win in a social setting since they made him just way worse now when i say im a doom main people wont think i play "broken braindead characters". I kind of like when a character is nerfed A BIT because then people dont just assume i play cheap characters, but removing the slow effect from slam was dumb. And his empowered punch cant even oneshot a squishy when junkerqueen can wound and healback from multiple enemies without even using her ult. Ill still power through with this doomfist and switch to like orisa or junkerqueen if my team needs me to switch but man this new doom does not have enough power.

He stands still and screams while you can hear his fist charging up and moves in a straight line. “4 second 1 shot ability” when widow can do that multiple times in 4 seconds, sitting in the back of the map without even having to get close
Within the first minute he killed the Moira then got all happy about it and doesn't even pay attention to his team's performance. His team was getting bodied left and right few seconds after he killed the Moira. Then he over commits when his teammates are dead already. THEN he blames team for not winning. Classic Overwatch experience
Me too BUT this is early on, everyone is still getting used to this. Only time will tell how decent he will end up being. I personally think he needs more damage and give him back the slow effect on slam and then he will be good enough to keep up. Who knows how good MAUGA will be
That's cause his team had to consistently 4v5 while down their strongest role (tank). Not saying he necessarily played wrong, cause it might've been worth the trade, but the effectiveness and stats of his team are gonna drop when the enemy team gets to smash into them while their main meat shield / spacer / cc is flanking squishies

you unlock them by playing games, each locked character has a certain number of games needed to be played to unlock them. Wins count as 2 games.

ACTUALLY I FEEL OVERWATCH SHOULD ALLOW PEOPLE TO BUY AND EQUIP ITEMS JUST LIKE DOTA THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO DIFFERENTIATE AGAINST THE OTHER PLAYERS. AND PROBABLY HAVE SOME EQUIPMENT TO DO OTHER SKILLS AS WELL. LIKE MAYBE CYCLONE THE ENEMY UP.
Honestly he’s prob the worst choice as tank for now they need to bring back the punch full power everything else is fine but the punch doing basically little to half damage with having to stand still to do it is just to much disadvantage with little reward he still needs a little rework

I really don’t understand the argument for punch being “op” when it’s one of the most telegraphed abilities in the game. He stands still and screams while you can hear his fist charging up and moves in a straight line. “4 second 1 shot ability” when widow can do that multiple times in 4 seconds, sitting in the back of the map without even having to get close

Within the first minute he killed the Moira then got all happy about it and doesn't even pay attention to his team's performance. His team was getting bodied left and right few seconds after he killed the Moira. Then he over commits when his teammates are dead already. THEN he blames team for not winning. Classic Overwatch experience

Me too BUT this is early on, everyone is still getting used to this. Only time will tell how decent he will end up being. I personally think he needs more damage and give him back the slow effect on slam and then he will be good enough to keep up. Who knows how good MAUGA will be

That's cause his team had to consistently 4v5 while down their strongest role (tank). Not saying he necessarily played wrong, cause it might've been worth the trade, but the effectiveness and stats of his team are gonna drop when the enemy team gets to smash into them while their main meat shield / spacer / cc is flanking squishies

You’re not making space if the space between you and your team isn’t clear. I’m not even saying he should’ve been making space, because trading his team to get backline picks might’ve been the right call, but picking off supports while Genji and Zarya crash into your team isn’t making space

Doomfist is soo lame now. Removed his uppercut, gave him a shield, nerfed all his damage, and called him a tank lol. Soo lazy. His entire kit was designed tp make him a highly mobile, high risk high reward, dive, burst DPS and they tried to turn him into a tank with one ability swap. Nice, cant wait to see people lock in Doomfist tank, fly in alone, leave their backline open, die, then immediately swap to Orisa. I really don't understand why you'd go Doomfist over any other tank.

because blizzard couldnt get rid of double shield. Same stuff is why they added role que. Blizzard at all is terrible at balancing, in all of their games sadly.

his damage is ass, his power block gets cancelled by almost anything, I don‘t get how they completely butchered doom’s cc and damage while letting orisa keep all of her kit when shes already way better…
