  • A pro player in high demand is sometimes asked to learn as many as ten songs in one day. Sarah Hanahan explains how she gets it done. Also find out when Sarah would actually prefer to take a horribly sad solo.
While still in her mid-20’s, Sarah Hanahan has emerged as a special talent of the saxophone. She’s a bandleader, composer and much sought after bandmate. She holds a Masters Degree from The Juilliard School, and gigs in New York frequently.

I saw you with the Generation S band on the St. Louis Jazz livestream.
You knocked me the fuk out.
You got that Jacky Mack thing going on and I dig it. Lord have mercy.
Keep doing what you're doing. I hope you're writing some stuff. Just don't make it corny and heady, know what I'm sayin'. I hope your tunes will be stuff that people want to keep listing to 100 years from now.
