Why do they offer some blankets that are flat(like PTP offers for the Subaru ej engine) but then others have sides like this one does? I believe the Cobb turbo blanket looks just like this as well. The one with sides seems like it would work better but that is just an assumption here.

I agree, not sure why there are ones without sides. Seems like it would not work as well.
