2:30 That punch was fast. Tobey really used his spider-sense.
Yes but I feel like that punch is force less
Magic of choreograph
@@onceuponfewtime faster the punch - stronger it is. I think one of them might've very well broken someone's nose, even if there was little initial mass put into it.
It’s almost like it was rehearsed for a movie
Seeing the behind the scenes shows how Sam Raimi was dedicated to make the perfect film for spider man, the whole trilogy is a masterpiece.
Nah, the first two only. the third one was a flop
@@igorpelin6049 The third made a bigger box office gross than SM and SM2. In order it's SM3,SM,SM2... Shocking that 2 comes last right? 3 certainly wasn't a flop box-office wise.
@@redwaldcuthberting7195 yeah you're right it's shocking that part 2 is behind what??
@@igorpelin6049 It's shocking that SM2 is regarded as one of the best comic book films of all time yet the least earning box-office gross wise. SM3 coming top isn't as much a surprise really as it was hyped to the max after SM2, I mean how could you top SM2?
nostalgia is quite the drug
The thing I like about old movies is that 90% of it was real!
Nowadays most of them were created in computer
So true..!
You gotta loved old school filmmaking
It wasn't real, they were using stunt doubles, harnesses, camera tricks and visual effects to make it look like what you saw in the movie. It's no different from what you see today.
@@jerelminterwhat they mean is that things were a lot more physical and i guess you could say hands-on and creative back in the day as opposed to now. Which you listed just beautifully for us
@@jerelminter dude in some Marvel movies litterally a normal scene of two charatcers walking in park can be 90% computer generated .Its not the same
The balance of practical effects and cgi paired with strong character development is what made film great.
20 years of Spider-Man in 2022!

@@OverLordRyan correct.
0:04 The photo of Tobey and Sam reading Spider-Man comic matches this shot.
Matches what shot??
@@dontneedtoknowmyname5791 There is a popular photo of Tobey and Sam reading Spider-Man comic during the shooting of first Spider-Man.
@@Niyander9 Oh cool. Can you send me link to that photo? :)
i think he's reading an ultimate spider-man comic.
1:24 back to formula.
Seeing the real work behind the scenes gives you a different feel for the movie
1:23 Damn, that scene was so good, you can even believe it was real
This is why these movies are still so fucking good.
No greenscreens and real stunts
@Terminator-the CGI in the homo trilogy is dog sht.
2:29 I wouldn't wanna fight me neither.
😂😂
6:58 I surrender!
Oh boy
It’s honestly cool to watch things like this in my opinion. The process behind movie making seems so dope
back when Superhero films were still pieces of cinema instead of marketing tools
Duuuude this is sick! I've never seen this before.
You never seen spider man or how they make it
Dudeeee right onnnn!!! This is rad,bro....total Cool-arooney
Fr this shit is awesome
Me neither this is incredible
Kudos to people working making this work of art
Ig these footages are only available on DVD
3:14 when you are high af and someone shows you something
6:03 I thought he farted lmao
The best spiderman ever
3:13 this is scary and awesome, I loved Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin
1:23 Feels like seeing security camera footage from that night.
2:06 "So show me how that's gonna happen in reality" - Sam Raimi. This sums up the entire approach he took with this film.
Nothing realistic about a spider bite making you have super powers or goblin serum and a glider
@@HistoryandReviewshow bout you get gud scrub
I would love to see more of this from 2004 and 2007. This is amazing 👏 👏
6:48 it makes it so much easier to focus on the absurd reactions of background characters when there's no camera or sound effects. It makes me curious just how much of their performances go completely unnoticed in movies.
3:14 what would have been the most scariest look of green goblin.
Agreed. It would really in the final fight with his face lighting up in the shadows.
The time stamp is pi
Green Goblin: YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I SACRIFICED!?
Using actual boxing slips. My god I love this film
The behind scenes cameras feels so old.. It's like the 90s all over again
This is pure gold, thanks for uploading!
The Spidey on thumbnail is something else.
Thank you so much for uploading this! It's fantastic to see more b-roll footage from this film.
They made history with that picture. Being on that set would be insane.
#Oh boy yeah
Oh boy yeah what

Props to Kirsten for doing that stunt in such a short dress 👍 Thanks for this totally rad video!
She’s such a baddie, would’ve loved to see it in person 😏
Doubt he writes. Don’t be weird. Don’t gaze on the hemline wishing for a further peek into her exuberant universe, rosy and delightful.
@@wtf9454 nah she ain’t it
1:21 HOLY
That made that look real even without the effects 😭
Happy 20th Anniversary Spider-Man!!!!!
2:52 feels like how set videos are usually are today, back would be so cool if we have saw this shooting.
i did not understand a single thing you said
@@MrStanFungi i read it the first time clearly and then I saw your comment and I realized my brain corrected his grammar to the point where I could understand what he said. my comments get a little fuzzy sometimes too. if you dont read your comments out loud they can get pretty wacky.
@@MrStanFungi a translation of what he said would be, "If we had movie sets like this today it would be so cool".
also, "It would be so cool if we saw this shooting in real life when they filmed this 20 or so years ago".
and by shooting I mean movie filming.
Bro not only was Tobey jacked but my god were his reflexes good he dodged his punches n he punched pretty fast
tobey Maguire rare footage 2000
2000 or 2001?
@@TkBadcuz7705 in January 2001
Love the practical effects and tangible sets
Ah memories 🥲
1:23 Man, how on earth did this guy survive that stunt with minimal injury! I don't believe that was a mannequin they threw because the limbs qere flailing too realistically.
Marvel today: Neh, CGI “EVERYTHING”
1:40 the green goblin growl is the same from the movie
No CGI no blue walls just straight to it
he's legit attached to a wire which would have to be removed in post, same with the floor the camera is on. All of the top down shots where he's jumping from one roof to another, those shots were full CG shots.
Remember guyz this was back in 2001 .... Gosh .. how time flies... My childhood Hero the original Spiderman
I love seeing Sam direct this in a full suit and tie LOL
Ngl never realized the city in the background with the green goblin on the roof was a backdrop
This is dope
This was phenomenal!
Willem Dafoe's stunts 😮👏👏👏👏👏
i love the last clip of tobey running of ripping the shirt off to change its classic superhero awesomeness
So badass
@@Downtownguyspidey has been doing that for decades before this film was released.
Woooow!!!! Absolutely loved this just seeing how much work they put into making this film is so heartwarming you can tell they really cared and believed in this! I know a lot of the movies now are green screen but I bet it must’ve been so much fun making this movie!
Still my favorite Spider-Man moive
If this movie was made today it would only just be green screen
Man I wish there was like an hour of this!
2002 classic
Wow! These are incredible!
We gotta have these, Jonah
@@snooppp8873 could you pay me in advance?
I'll pay you the usual rate
It’s crazy how creative they had to be when CGI was less of a thing.
Wrong it was still overused
@@HistoryandReviews For the first movie? Wtf are you talking about? How tf was it overused?
@@HistoryandReviewsit wasn't. A lot of movies from the 90s and early 2000s used the perfect balance of practical and CGI. This movie and Jurassic Park are great examples of only using CGI when what's on screen literally just isn't possible without it
Imagine if this movie was in IMAX format
Such beutiful blessed times. Thinking how the movies changed so much sickens me
3:13 twin towers ❤
Never seen this before, thank you for sharing!
This is part of the MCU Multiverse.

Sam Raimi's Spiderman and Green Goblin are the best ❤
What is Snape doing at 6:47 ?? 😮
Very cool footage!
Good times. The making of a classic. I hope mr Sam Raimi can finish the trilogy.
Raimi best spidey director and Tobey Maguire best Spiderman of all time👌 god dammet this trilogy is masterpiece💪
Amazing!
Amazing, I have a bonus disc that came along with the movie on dvd and it has a ton of BTS footage and interviews, haven’t watched it in years this may be in it
3:13 WTC Towers!
Imagine they made a miles morales movie with Toby as the veteran Spider-Man. Would be a blockbuster massive hit. I wish mam
AMAZING!!
Big respect to Tobey Maguire for some stunt work, where Tom Holland almost always use stuntman and cgi. Lol even in Uncharted (which was bad adaptation at best) during simple chase scenes he used stunt guy for running (for fucking running lol)
Surreal. Incredible footage.
Older movies just had a nice feeling to them. Personality almost, now it’s all just cgi
Please upload rare behind the scenes footage for 2&3.
Muchas gracias, hermano! Pienso subirlo a mi canal en español si no te molesta :D

this is GOLD
Nice practical effects
1:20 they really toss Dr. Stromm through the glass lmaoo 🤣🤣
Épico!
we need big sets back into spiderman movies... theyre good now but they just lack that realism that some live action stuff provides,
