I love late season no one is hunting and I see a ton of deer so easy to find them. Snow tells you the whole store . Love the show.

Quality education right here thanks for the seemingly never ending knowledge. Youre bringing new hunters into this way of life and helping to retain those already in it.

Great! You make going slowly snd quietly look easy.....but it isnt easy. We are programed to move quickly. Every deer season i have to reprogram my brain and my body to slow down but season is more than half over before i get myself slow enough or quiet enough!

Great video. Thanks for showing us the details of your hunting technique. I am a rifle hunter on my own 95 acres and set up fixed stands. Your bow technique is opening my eyes to possibilities.

New sub here. Thanks for the time and energy you spent, just to share some knowledge. I grew up in an area close to mountains. So I started hunting those mountain goats at young age. We had to walk about 6-8 hours to get to the hunting ground. It was harsh and tire-full journey, especially if we had to go for couple days hunt that required staying in caves or under big rocks at night with the snow on the ground and a bitter night cold. Long story short, every time I was up there, I was telling myself “ this is the last time coming here”. But then after a week or so , I was itching to go back and do the same all over again. That taught me to be so patient and independent. Now days I’m hunting whitetail deers with my buddies, they all see me as a reliable, dependable guy sitting at the top list of my group. Hunting is an addiction in a good way. And I will do it as long as my legs support me to walk in the bushes . 🥂

Nice job demonstrating how a hunter uses experience to approach a hunt, an area, the next foot placement, tree selection etc. It’s all this deliberation and details that make the difference. The patience and focus it takes when it comes to being quiet, especially during stand set up while finagling clangy. metal objects with cold fingers. Thus the beloved grind and exhaustion. Just got back from 3 days in north Alabama hills hunting public tva land. Camped in the cold on an island and canoed into areas to hunt. Was glad to be home but after one day I’m missing the woods.

Ontario’s season goes until the 31st of December and granted, once the door closes on the rut, pursuits become much more difficult. However what that time of year does have to offer is the ability to backtrack a buck shot (if you should be so lucky) or one seen cruising by within eyesight but out of range to understand how he chose to navigate that part of the woods as well as your ability to see exactly what those woods look like during next years season (with snow and no foliage). Our post peak rut usually arrives when the snow does. I’d forfeit all other rut phases for this window. No better time to shoot someone else’s “target buck” as his range broadens looking for the last hot does. Btw, the recurve is an ultra classy addition to the video!

I love to watch Deer "Hunting" video. So many other video's are shooting videos. Thanks Dan. I am an South Western Ontario bow hunter that has to start hunting public land. The area I have found is much like the area in this video.. So thick that the rabbits won't go there ,lol.. The area is new for me this year and it is Dec 3. Last muzzle ends this week end. Your Videos are helping me to get set up. Changing from fixed stand to saddle hunting. Thanks again for your insight...

Man, love your videos. You ain't a lollipop you go hard and inspire me.. I am blessed with a piece that butts up against state land. Not a typical PA area, got some good deer. Would love to see how you approach this place.. the good deer bed on a Rock wall and always see me coming. Did you ever say who won the jacket?
