AMAZING buuttttt this is legit a copy & paste from his time at Gucci. I'm happy to see the same aesthetic but I was hoping for a new stylist. This is 90% Alessandro coded and 10% Valentino. The styling was overworked. I wanted to see deconstruction. He ALWAYS has beautiful gowns but it's always paired with too many layers, too much jewelry and head pieces. Let the beautiful beaded and encrusted gowns shine on their own! That's my two cents. 😅
Edit: If you're commenting and disregarding the fact that I'm referring to the stylist and not Alessandro himself, please go away. My comment clearly says "I'm happy to see the same aesthetic..."
No pellicce vere... xche???
Totally it has Nothing to do with Valentino this is Gucci part 2 by Alessandro 😩
Valentino wasn’t about deconstruction you have no idea of the history of this brand.
@@versuskid4232 - Who said Valentino was about deconstruction? Please read my comment thoroughly. I’m referring to Alessandro’s stylist; the overworked styling that everyone saw at Gucci. Which worked for them.
And sorry bud, I probably know more fashion history than your trolling cyber ass. Followed fashion for over 20 years and have seen the MET Costume Institute Exhibition religiously for 13 years while everyone sits there ass at home to criticize celebrities on the red carpet. ✌️
Of course it has to be too much!Alessandro has maximalistic style
So dark you can’t see the clothes!
This 💯🙄🙄💯💯💯💯🌟🌟
Unwatchable. Shockingly antithetical to everything Valentino has ever stood for. This is just bad taste. No, actually a vulgar bastardization of everything Valentino has ever stood for. IMO of course.
Do you even know Valentino? Cause he is using original Valentino material from the past 😂
@@desiriongaming3537So just using the material makes it Valentino? Interesting logic. 😂

Valentino this is not; was really looking forward to Alessandro putting his magical touch in to Valentino, not a 100% Gucci runway. Very disappointed, if he doesn’t change and find the codes of the house, he destined to failed.
The pieces are beautiful, it's the styling of the models and the show that makes it feel so Gucci.
@@stevenguffey5437 It seems like an arrogant comment to me. everyone has an idea of what valentino should be, but we are not designerss. we are not creators of poetry. we have not made collections like Alessandro Michele capable of enchanting the world
@@stevenguffey5437 Gucci never looked the way it did before Alessandro came along. There was Dawn Mello, Tom Ford, Alessandra Facchinetti, Frida Giannini, John Ray, with the current Sabato de Sarno all contributor's to the brand with a different vision for the house of GUCCI. When people say this collection looks like GUCCI they're mistaken it's Alessandro's aesthetic and nothing else. You (Alessandro) are your true self and obviously belong here. Beautiful collection with femininity that was missing for the past years with rich embroideries, trims, appliqués and look rooted in couture that is reminiscent of the Garavani Valentino. wowwww, something Fresh, something new, interesting design, new direction......NOT !
Please stop "Gucci" circus
Michele rendered homage to 1960s-1970s Valentino's fashion, and it turns out his own aesthetic is deeping into that period. One shouldn't be surprised so ! And I don't see leather S&M references or all-over logos there, just pure Valentino Garavani Couture clothes. You cannot ask the gentleman to deny himself. That was great ❤

The collection is just awful, all this has already happened in Gucci, people are shocked and disappointed in the end, after Pierpaolo Piccioli, it looks like a mockery of Valentino and I think that both in Gucci and in Valentino, Alessandro Michele will not last long and this needs to be done immediately!

@@HeySaturdaySun you're enchanted? well Im disenchanted. his aesthetic could work better for Valentino than it ever did for Gucci, but he continues trotting out the same styles he did almost ten years ago, the novelty of it wears off pretty quickly. i'll give him more than one season before I call for his head (and I think the resort 2025 look book was more respectable than this show), but clearly he needs to start evolving a bit as a designer.
@@andrewpodolio59 yes, he enchanted me in this show too. See the detail of the fabrics, so beautiful that they come from Valentino's 70s. Only at a superficial glance it may seem similar to Gucci, but that's just the styling. His gaze represents the present, combined with the dreamlike dimension. it is new, although still for fashion consumers as if it were chewngum, it doesn't seem like it. Nobody cares if it enchanted you or not, the numbers speak for AM... and at Gucci AM brought turnover from 3 billion to 10 billion.
@@HeySaturdaySun people are getting tired his schtick, its not just me. If he can do what Heidi did for Celine (bringing his own aesthetic to a brand and fusing it with the brand heritage in an interesting way) I will be more than happy to praise him. But for now Alessandro Michele is essentially using Valentino as a vessel for what should be a brand under his own name. He needs to do better than referencing a few prints and some old logos. But I have hope, there were 11 good looks (in a show of 80+looks) in this show and the resort 2025 had some decent stuff too (in a sea of almost 200 looks lol)

BRAVO Alessandro !!!!! It’s your direction and creative process. It’s who you are and not giving into something different. Anybody criticizing you negatively here has no idea or background of what a designer is. They’re either too young to remember the history of this house or its original founder. Gucci never looked the way it did before Alessandro came along. There was Dawn Mello, Tom Ford, Alessandra Facchinetti, Frida Giannini, John Ray, with the current Sabato de Sarno all contributor's to the brand with a different vision for the house of GUCCI. Those trunk shows that were likely in the 70's to 80's were indicative of the time. YSL was also doing Boho Chic, both brands evolved beyond that one era and found their individual identities. Although only time will tell but A.M.'s esthetic seems stuck in that era. More importantl than our opinions however, is that of the Valentino customer.
@@sigisings The trunk shows I worked on are from 2004 thru 2008 seasons. The clientele will definitely place their orders. Every (Garavani) sample was a piece of art, just incredible craftsmanship with intricate detail. This collection from Alessandro, I see that work here. Gucci was not a good fit for him even though he made billions in sales for them. Now Kering which has plans to do a buyout from the current owners (Mayhoola/ Qatari Royal family ) in the future knows this and here you have it. It’s all strategy and I’m happy that it’s in motion.
Terrible collection
AWFUL SO DATED!! WHO WILL WEAR THIS? EVEN MY GRANDMOTHER HAS BETTER TASTE ... RIP VALENTINO ...YUCKS!@!!!
Il declino di Valentino.
Alessandro should have his own brand..
Why did you change the music of the show?
The individuals pieces are beautiful, it might have been nice to style the models differently so it didn't seem so similar to usual Alessandro collections and feel a bit more Valentino. Many of the pieces reference Valentino's designs from the 60s and 70s.

❤
I agree this smells like Gucci. BUT I feel we need to give Alessandro a chance to settle in. He needed to completely distinguish himself from Piccioli and display his distinct point of view which he did successfully. He wove in the spirit of Valentino with the softness, femininity, and details such as beading (in contrast to Gucci - androgynous, isolated bold colors, structured cuts). Hope this screams more Valentino next season. Editing the accessories would make a HUGE difference in making this less Gucci (remove the nose rings, mouth piercings, pearl necklaces on men, turbans, etc. and you're left with beautiful clothes).
Alessandro is the only designer who could combine chic, sex, sport and extravagance in one look. ❤
He is truly a designer from God. And don't forget. He brought Valentino back to the origins of fashion, namely, to the fashion with which the history of the Valentino house began!!!
💕💕Very Beautiful💕💕
Mr. Venturin what are you thinking about......?Wrong designation I hope truthly by the bottom of my heart worse economic profit... The ugly is not modernity, and even beauty. Poor Maison Valentino. Please Fired Michele
Alessandro needs a new stylist!
The garments are beautiful & many are actually Valentino’s archives remodernized
However the styling is Gucci overkill, it’s not the essence of Valentino.
Just gross. Some of these look like dusty Blair Waldorf uniform closet copies that Little J made on her sewing machine. Everything else looks like a sad estate sale. Who is this directed at?
Love some of the looks, and I have no doubts that each piece when isolated is beautiful, but does it work as a collection for Valentino?
Horrible!!! Adams Family…no modernity
Valentucci. Michele is a one-note designer, obviously. What a failure.

No way, we were all fed up with the crap he dished up at Gucci, and now he's at Valentino!!!
Omg. No° 15:39
What a thrill to see this on the feed! Then I had to check twice to confirm that was Valentino. At the end of the show, everything became clear - it Alessandro - not very Valentino.
Are we going to see the same items for the couture shows :-/ 😢
I personally think he is a genius, you either get it or you don't.
Valentino's elegance, class, and sophistication have gone down the toilet. The long-awaited collection transformed into a flea market in the seventies. Valentino and Giancarlo Giammetti must be in deep depression now. The setting was like ghosts at a funeral.
I love it Allesandro is a force to be reckoned with watch it catch on they all said the same about Gucci. Im happy to see his designs again.
A figura estética do Sr AM no final para agradecimentos é tão horrenda, deprimente, sombria qto a estética deste show velório do Sr Valentino o qual felizmente está vivo fora deste circo horroroso
Gucci...

Not point to judge or be so negative about it, this is Alessandro Michele style and it won't change. True though he could create his own house as it would be so unique as he def is 🎉❤
The second-to-last No° and the closing No° belongs to Britney Spears. Congratulations to team USA.
He cheapened gucci and now he is doing the same to Valentino
This is not Gucci. This is Valentino. Gucci was never that maximal. Mr Michele is maximal, this is his niece and fits perfectly the house, more than he did actually with gucci. Open a book. See some archives. This is not gucci. It is clearly Valentino

The somber essay of the walk is reflected in the cracked floors polished to perfection. Each piece holds a special moment in space for the wearer in which something memorable happened whose reflection is shadowed (covered lighting and mirrors).
Each piece is so memorable and accents the wearer for a marked occasion.

I'm disappointed. Tailoring & fabrics are very good.
However, I felt like I was watching " Death in the Nile", the all set , music & garments felt very dated & " vintage chic". The piercing noses didn't help to bring the collection up to date. ( & I agree with the similarity to Gucci).
The valentino sophistication was missing.
