Hi! Here as the voice for tj workers..I’ve worked for Tjs for 5 year plus…Yes it is normal to walk off from bagging someone’s groceries. We are trained to either get someone else who is in line if there is more than one person in line or leave if we have to go to the bathroom. Trader Joe’s doesn’t have designated baggers it’s just the courtesy of the other register worker to help out unless they are summoned to do something else or has to use the bathroom.
I remember many, many years ago, PRE-COVID, when you had to bag all your own groceries at TJs. I was in college so it was over 25 years ago. It got me in the habit, and I’ve been bagging my own ever since.
I actually unload my cart at other grocery stores with heavy items first to go in the bottom of the bag and light/breakable stuff last. At TJs they tend to dig through themselves to grab the heavies and scan fruits/veg/chips last.
We just got back from vacation about a week ago, so im catching up! I missed our cats so much while we were gone and they were very happy to see us! I have the new apple sauce crushers to try in the fridge and still obsessed with the dark chocolate covered pistachios!
Make a béchamel sauce and melt the truffle cheese slices into that. Also reserve some of the pasta water to add to the sauce; about a half cup will do. 👌🏽
Tell your professional taster to heat up the Raspberry/Peach cobbler. Game changer! And Yes! Freezing the hot dogs will make them easier to slice thin (I used to be a meat cutter and that's how we could cut carne asada so thin!!)
I found the jalapeno pieces the other day. They used to sell, but discontinued the dehydrated slices that came in a can like the fried canned onions, and they are those but minced up. Not spicy but they are crunchy and great on top of stuff.
Have a wonderful trip to Greece and Turkey! My major in college was Classics and I have always wanted to go. Sadly I prioritized work, thinking I could travel when I was older, but now I am older yet too disabled, and still working a job where I can’t really get away .So, you are very wise to travel every chance you get.
Love your channel. I go shopping for my family weekly and have found so many new finds because of you. Thank you for keeping our meals different each week. If you ever need a future taste tester let me know! I’m in the Bay Area but happy to come to la in the future.
I’m on the westside of LA as Natasha is. I’ve never been in any TJ’s where they walked off in the middle of bagging. I don’t think I would handle it as graciously as she did. 😊 It’s so odd to me that in a store where they’re so helpful to their customers in general, they would leave them during checkout.
Have to admit that TJ's version (ingredients) are cleaner. Other honeycomb candy from elsewhere usually are made with corn syrup. TJ's are made with honey. My molars can't afford to eat sticky candy.
Hey Natasha, the Honey comb crisps are so good! Would love to try the black truffle Monterey Jack or the ghost pepper cheeses, pairs great with wine! 😁🧀🍄🟫🌶️ And just a tomato with a good mayo on the GF bread with just peppery crispy bacon, 🤌🏼 chef kiss ✨ tfs 🫶🏼 #safetrip 🙏🏼
Hello Natasha. Have you tried the Ginger Shrimp Lo Mein, Strawberry Tomatoes, or the Mini Carrot Sheet Cake? I am going tomorrow to get them. I am excited for the Roti with Thai Red Curry sauce. No date as to when that is coming out. Safe Travels. Peace and Blessings.
I bought some Rainier cherries just in my local grocery store by my house. There is no trader Joe's where I live. But it must have not been a very good crop because I was disappointed in the taste. If we get new ones in later I may try again. Your chickpea pasta salad sounds yummy. What kind of dressing do you put on it? Have a great trip.
We want to do a Greece/Turkey trip as my husband's ancestors are from there? Aee you taking a cruise? Going with a group? Or just winging it? Enjoy it and come back with some pictures!
I think if I am not mistaken, Ube has origins in Japan and the Philippines, the second later because of the culinary influence history in Hawaii having to do with Filipinos working on the sugar plantations in the 1900’s.
Here’s a weird but nice comment . . . your arms look so toned! Are you doing different arm exercises? Also, dogs are the best part of life. I have 4 currently. My oldie girl is almost 15 yrs I lost my sweet oldie girl a couple years ago, she was almost 17. It is such a privilege to care for senior dogs. How lucky are we? ❤
I do Pilates 2x a week and cycle ~50 miles a week! Sorry to hear about your pup! It is such a privilege to take care of our seniors in their golden years ♥️
Hi @natashaslist which hot dog buns are you using for the hot dogs? I’m gluten free also and wondering if you have found any you like at any of the LA stores? I haven’t seen them at Erewhon but maybe I missed them? If you have a recommendation would love it. Thanks so much and have a great trip! :)
Getting ready to go on vacation Saturday and have to board my Ollie, our Cavapoo, and I can't stand it. We miss him so much, I hate it! I cry in the car after I drop him off :(
I don’t like the cold pressed watermelon juice at all, very disappointed. It tastes like watermelon rind and lemon, but not watermelon. A very strange, off putting taste. I took about 5 sips and threw it out.
All her items she can't have are always reviewed by someone else, and always have been. Today she didn't have anyone and said they will still get reviewed.

I am a current crew member and this is true!!

I like the show. I saw it twice, passed on it ,then came back for another episode. Thank you for being here for me .

I second that.

Love the creative/unique haul moment with the virus image/theme song. I didn’t see that coming from your typical style😂
Glad you liked it!

Thanks for this! And wow, I had no idea about the meat, so good to know!
Enjoy your vacation!
I found the jalapeno pieces the other day. They used to sell, but discontinued the dehydrated slices that came in a can like the fried canned onions, and they are those but minced up. Not spicy but they are crunchy and great on top of stuff.
Yes! I realized they are the same as the ones in the can!

Exciting Greece on my bucket list. I went to Morocco & Turkey in April. Enjoy your vacation!
Thank you!
Pot pie is 18?! Incredible!! Hope your pups have many more trips around the Sun!! 🐶🩵
I hope so too! I can’t believe she’s 18!
I had to run and grab a honeycomb treat to eat while watching you!
Have a safe and amazing trip!
Thanks so much!

Thanks for your support!
The peach raspberry crisp is very good, especially with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Sounds so amazing!
As I'm watching your video I'm adding the new items to my list.
Love this!

Hated the honeycomb candy, too sweet!
Same, and it sticks to your teeth. Don't get the hype!
Same and I don’t remember if it’s really made from honey, but I think it’s too sweet

@@eg1197I don’t think my teeth would benefit either!
I love it. To each their own! 😀

Hope you get to try those cheeses and like them! They’re so good!
Try sparkling lemon water.
Quirky TJ products. And love your eyes
New here, so excited for these hauls 😍
Welcome!
I love the Chicken Chow Mien. It’s so good.
Glad you like it!
7:02 I haven’t tried it yet but based on the ingredients I think the peanut snack are a Japanese snack called Iso peanuts
Hotdog + mandolin = may as well just have bologna. Can be tough to track down the good stuff, but it's out there.
Thanks ♥️♥️♥️ UBE!!
Love mochi ube ice cream & Ube Ice Cream! Always stock up!
Yes! Always!
Ube is from the Philippines 🍠

Unfortunately I am allergic to those things you’ve mentioned and I haven’t heard of strawberry tomatoes! I hope you like them!

Will you do another video with a friend who can sample the items that you cannot? Also, can that propolis spray be taken on board in a carry-on?
Yes, keep watching for those reviews! And yes propolis spray can go in carry on
Truffle cheese on my list. Will put on a turkey sandwich.
Sounds delicious!
We want to do a Greece/Turkey trip as my husband's ancestors are from there? Aee you taking a cruise? Going with a group? Or just winging it? Enjoy it and come back with some pictures!
Hope you get to travel there- it’s so beautiful! No day to day itinerary but going with a good friend!
Peach rasp crumble is great!! Not super sweet.
Good to know!

Those square cracks are gross to me, I wasted a whole box😢 of
love your videos....it's a shame that you travel too much and can't eat many of the items you share. Stay safe !
Shame? I’m grateful I get to travel so much! 🙌

P.S. loved the X Files theme song that was used for the new fruit lol nice touch.
I didn’t use buns for these hot dogs. There’s a few small bakeries around that make some good gluten free breads!

We broke up last year but remain friends
Cashew yogurt is soooo runny now! Yuck!
What is that shadow in your ithinks it a back door? lol kinda creepy lol ok it’s not a door but it’s a window right behind you 😳😂
Algorithm stats thanks you, 😄

Mean but regarding the bagger....were you overpowering the person? As in " I can bag."
My cashier will bag. Helper comes once in a while to bag
Is Simon out of the picture?
@@rebeccacohen1641 PLEASE enough of that question. Not to be rude, but it's getting old. Just enjoy her grocery haul.
Yes. We broke up in September but remain friends
It would be nice if you would tell us the Carbs in the items for people counting Carbs. Calories mean nothing.😊
You can always visit Trader Joe’s website where they publish all the nutrition content of their products!
Seems you can only eat 5% of the products you buy and thus, can’t review 😮for us
All her items she can't have are always reviewed by someone else, and always have been. Today she didn't have anyone and said they will still get reviewed.
I’m thankful that she spends her money and buys the new products just to show us - even when she can’t eat them herself
Surely you don’t expect her to make herself ill just so you can see her personally eat everything?
$168 at Trader Joes, we can all thank our idiotic president for inflation. None of us have seen in our lifetime.
