I would NEVER EVER drive forward so I would go backwards and try to get some air. I have been playing tis game from when it came out till last year, the memories that made my dad, sister, and my uncle quit. :D

Aric Almirola was in the trucks, Danica Patrick was in Nationwide, Todd Bodine was in the Trucks, Jennifer Jo Cobb was in the trucks, Trevor Bayne was in Nationwide, Ryan Truex was in Nationwide
In all honestly the game did have some good graphics and sound I miss those good times

Eutechnyx (spelling), has the best looking NASCAR games and its not even close. Play one of these bad boys on the RPCS3 emulator in 4K and it'll look newer than the NASCAR Heat games

With enough modifications, NR2003 looks pretty close

The weirdest thing is how good it looks (and especially runs) in comparison to the NACAR Heat games.

The only night race in this game is Darlington, everything else is at sunset. There was DLC for actual night races, but that hasn't been available since God knows when.

I love how it's mid race and Biffle just decides to shift into that Talladega Nights extra gear to start passing cars like they aren't even there.
All of the money they spent on that pit pass animation. I spun the crap out of that thing waiting for the race to load. lol

I played this game around when it came out on 360. It was pretty bad. Lol online cars would just fall through the track.

I like to play old games on my PS3 and it's absolute garbage. Getting illegal pit entries because I got spun out because of a phantom touch into pit road is infuriating

I remember having loads of fun on this game. Mostly going to Bristol for a race and turning off cautions then just making the field do a huge pile up. And the only track I couldn't win at was Daytona. Even though I always qualified on the pole and ran the races as short as possible, 2nd and 3rd place would always pass me. That track just did not work right in this game
Omg. I would do that too! All the time. Every car would pile up in the middle of Bristol and I would just go around or ram into all of them😂

Here is a paint scheme suggestion for the NASCAR Heat 5 career mode:
Base Paint: lime green (Seventh color from the top in the normal colors)
Stripe One: Black
Stripe Two: Bright Red (Seventh color from the bottom in the normal colors, starting from white)
Stripe Three: Black
Number: White or Yellow
Wheels: Lime Green
Great video. I remember going to Wal-Mart at midnight to get this game I was so excited to play it. I remember how bad this game was online with cars starting flipping over etc before the green flag. I also have a Kevin Conway story. In 2002 I did the Petty Driving Experience ride along at Charlotte Motor Speedway and he was my driver. He was a really nice guy and said he was hoping to eventually made it to the cup series and was hoping to race ARCA that season. I know his career didn't pan out but I always tried to root for the guy.
Watching u play for 30 minutes summarized my entire 2 years playing this game

This is actually realistic damage. NASCAR Thunder 2004 had awesome damage that seemed real to life.
The game has a weird thing where they put in Nationwide and one truck driver with the Cup series Drive even if they have the same number

This game is right up there as one of the best games in the nascar series of video games. Nascar’06 is still the GOAT.

With no trucks and xfinity I think I did like 14 seasons in career mode
I like how they removed all the alchohol sponsors from this game for the E rating but they still managed to get a suggestive male enhancement sponsor in there.

Fun fact: Kevin Conway, despite being a horrible NASCAR driver, wound up on Shark Tank earlier this month plugging his thermal phone covers and had two sharks wanting his business. So what Kevin lacked on the track, he made up for being an effective entrepreneur.

Eutechnyx games are just so jank with the caution system.
I picked up NASCAR 15 this June, and that game is inconsistent with caution. the most consistent trigger for it is that the caution will only be thrown out if a car gets spun sideways at least 90 degrees. so if there's a pileup, or someone gets spun into the infield grass but noone's turned 90 degrees, well, no caution.
I figured it was this or inside line... interesting times
Its a great game when u have the controls set to your liking, and when u turn off hud.

The only real flaws are simply from a lack of technology at that date in time. As he said, the attention to detail and putting in everything that could be done is amazing, and really needs to be seen in 704 with this next game
I actually enjoyed this game a lot. It had split screen, which was starting to become rare around this time, the graphics were great, and the sounds were good.

One weird thing this game did was the different default handling for different manufacturers. Chevy is loose (good for tracks like martinsville) toyota is tight (good for tracks like atlanta) while dodge and ford were somewhere in the middle
