You say "crap engine", yet you can't seem to back up what you say. All of Hyundai's engines have won the highest awards. Why? They are the MOST advanced and reliable engines that have desirable outputs. The Hyundai Nu, Theta (and its many variants), and the Tau are all high ranking engines. And btw, the Genesis beat the Mustang, Camaro, and the G37 in the AMCO Italian tournament. Interior doesn't fall apart. Wow, so full of BS!
I've had my 2.0t R-Spec for about a year now and I would call the car more of a grand tourer than a sports car. It is comfortable and has a lot of luggage space for one. If power is your dislike then know that a stage 1 ecu can boost your torque up 100 to the wheels and 50 hp to the wheels. The torque the car has makes it a car that makes you smile when you're driving on backroads.
I really like my rspec except for the flimsy shifter which got fixed in the 13. I had it up to 135 and still going. Smoked an m3 ytdy on way to the gym. Drove it to la and avgd 100mph with no hiccups at all! Just a great car!
370Z is way more expensive, R-Spec V6 starts at 28-29k. 370Z is even more for the base. Agree though that Z is a better car though if you disregard price.

2013 2.0T make 274/275 but to the wheels it probably about 230/250 and the 3.8 makes 348/295 but since theres usually a lost in power in delivery probably only sends 280/230 to the wheels. I have a 2013 2.0T fun car love the full torque its get at only 2k rpm
Losing 70hp to the wheel in the V6 would be a case of horrible drivetrain efficiency. That's 20%, which is more what AWD cars do. This genesis should do at least 290 to the wheels and the torque usually doesn't drop as much. 290/250 is more reasonable. And why the heck do you have the 2.0T making more torque to the wheels, when it makes less than the V6 overall???
I have a 2012. I feel it looks less gaudy because it's more understated. I've had it for 2 years and people still come up to me and say "nice car! What is it?" That wouldn't happen if I drove a dime a dozen Moostang or Camaro. Besides, without a big heavy V8 up front, it handles better and feels more responsive. Sure I would lose a drag race with the aforementioned muscle cars, but in Canada you just need to be caught one time drag racing and the fines add up to a mortgage! The old days are gone. Big gas guzzling V8's don't make sense any more.
I would buy this over a camaro SS or mustang GT. more fuel efficient and just 60hp less. It weighs alot less too and cost the same. Also more practical than a mustang GT.

V6 genesis is faster then mustang, runs 13.6 in 1/4 mile due to its narrow crispy tires. It runs low 13s with better tires. Has same power at the wheels as 370Z Nizmo, which runs 13.1s V6 genesis is made to compete with Infinity G37, not a pony.
