My friend just brought me this tea back from London as a gift and after watching this video I am even more excited to taste it. Guess I know what tea I'll have next week now. :D I really enjoy watching the videos on your channel! Your passion, excitement and enthusiasm are quite contagious.
I have been really enjoying your videos and have been learning so much from you and your wife all about tea. It's an exciting world. I truly love that work you have put into your tea shop. The care and attention to the quality of the tea is so great So Thank You. I just purchased the Empress Oolong and a Silver Needle from your shop and am having my own tea sampling along with you both to learn what it is your tasting to see if I can pick up the same. A lovely way to learn. Can't wait to try some more from your shop.
Don, as always when something that defies understanding happens in our world such as senseless terror attacks in your home city of London, please know that prayers are with the people of the UK and I prayed for those recovering at Mass this morning. May God continue to keep the UK and the rest or our troubled world safe from unprovoked terrorism! Peace and blessings. Patrick
Thank you Patrick - a sad day in London and more fuel for anyone or any institution who wants to spread fear for the purpose of manipulation and control. Thanks for your kind thoughts.
Such a lovely way to spend time with yourself - giving yourself love and care through a luxurious cup of tea! Exactly the way I love to spend my time when I have 'me time', or with friends for that matter. Really makes me feel happy watching you Don! :) Yulia X
Great video :)) looking like it's quite interesting Oolong. Noises from outside were distracting a bit but well - it also has it's charm and brings you more to London. I loved the doggy rolling in the back and chilling on grass with his ball :)) it's so nice when we're drinking outside because we can observe the nature and others enjoying the outdoors.
We need more of this! I would buy this tea by the pound if you sold it in higher quantities (and probably miss a rent payment or two in the process XD). As someone who likes his tea on the sweeter side, this variety was a PERFECT fusion. I also enjoy the more roasted flavor of various baked and/or Wuyi style oolongs, but overall, they can come off a bit harsh or coffee-like. This tea introduced some of the more roasted notes, but light enough to be rid of the distracting charcoal-y bite of deeper roasts and paired with the subtle yet full bodied sweetness of Autumn fruit. PS: One small nitpick: on that last note, this tea tasted much more Autumn-y to me than Summer-y. If I were selling it, I would be much more apt to go with a name like "Harvest Moon", "Autumn Lake" or "Setting Sun". Perhaps it was the pear-like flavor which made you decide on Summer.
I bought 5 different oolongs recently and of the 5, a Qi Lan was my favourite. The other 4 were: a crappy Iron Goddess (from Taiwan), Dong Ding, 4-Seasons, and a charcoal roasted Jin Xuan
Oh wow! Summer haze is one of my favorite teas, but I don't really get a sweet taste from it. I get a very savory flavour. Not so much a baked flavour at all, but more a smoked and grilled vegetables and fruits.
Wondering if you could help me. I travelled through China 8 years ago and drank a lot of tea. But one tea always stands out to me as a memory, the tea had a fairly standard first taste but the aftertaste was so sweet. Like whenever I swallowed my tongue tasted sweet. Any idea what tea I drank? Do you sell anything similar? I was in the south of china near hong kong is that is any help.
Couldn't help myself. Saw that tea was already up for sale on the site. Got some Alishan Cream as well. It's a long way to Winnipeg but it always makes it to the mailbox.
Marina Chertok you can check on eBay or other similar online shopping sites. They also have scales which go down to 2 decimal places - typically for measuring jewellery.
the most underrated Wu-Yi oolong, which is good for its buyers, cheaper than the other Wu Yi teas.

If you can do more of these types of videos? It really helps me expand my descriptive vocabulary, very appreciated

Did you only bring one thermos to the park? I'm not sure since you brought lots of other tea samples with you as well.
This was the last thermos of water but the teahouse is nearby so I can go get refills :)
I bought some tea from you guys and I can't wait until its here and this
vid is not helping lol :)
Thanks for the order, patience is not my strong point either :)
Thanks for another in-depth video Don. I don't suppose you plan to stock those mini porcelain cups?
We are thinking about them actually. Great taster cups.
Can you do a workshop with all your new teas in a London park this summer? Pleeeease!!
15:10 Good boy!
I tried Summer Haze last Saturday (10th June) and can confirm it was an enjoyable tea. Beautiful smelling wet leaves. Can't find my tasting notes.
You got subtitles ~great!

Oh and the aftertaste lasted for a good few minutes after a small cup.
Dom W tieguanyin?

I am quite sure that you will enjoy it Wes. Brew on the heavier side in my opinion.
I will brew it strong then. Thanks.
Yay - mangosteen!! 😄😜
does his website only ship to the uk or can i have it shipped to the US?
I greatly enjoyed the tea porn at the end! I really enjoy the videos.
can you recommend a travel/mini scale? i want to invest in a good one but i heard that some of them have calibration issues.

Can u do a video on lead contamination in Chinese tea plz. I ive ur honesty & video about caffeine
*puts water at **10:06**, pours it around **10:40*
Mei Don : yeah that was around 15s hehe
I never throw tea away after any infusion. I will just try to brew it with different parameters.
Maybe a video on Thai oolongs?
Tasted one on our video 'Old World vs New World Tea'.
Cool, thanks for the answer
Please do a darjeeling tea video
