BS on this guys review. I own $100+ reels Shimano etc... This Spinning Reel is on par or out performs some of my 100 dollar reels. I've had it for 1 year and still works as smooth as when I got it. My son uses it because he likes the color Blue (Favorite Color) and he didnt like the Shimano Stradic. Reel is legit. The guys review is biased
Thank you for the Centron unboxing, review, and demo! This is an amazing reel for the $ :) Good to hear you are a fan of the SuperPower braid as well !
Hi KastKing! I own three KastKing Summer 2000 spinning reels in addition to a KastKing Mela II 1000 reel; I think these are all great products, especially for the price. These reels are as smooth as any reels out there. Question for you: will more Centrons be made available? I have consistently checked Ebay and Amazon and only see the 2000 and 5000 models at this time. Thank you
First turn off about the Cen it doesn't have a screw in handle I thought most fishing companies were getting away from that screw cap junk. I would of bought the Sharky 3 1000 for $20 more it's 10x better than that Cen. The Sharky's SaltWater rated. Has sealed bearings it's braid ready meaning no backing needed. It's super light an holds the perfect amount of line for the fishing you do.it has 20+lbs of drag force which is way more than you need but nice to know it can handle the larger fish when hooked.
Sharky 3 1000 $45.98 KK site now specs 6.9oz's 11BB Saltwater ready 5.2:1 33lbs of drag force Braid Ready Screw in style handle left/right retrieve 1yr Warrenty if the line roller is made of the correct material this reel could possibly be the last 1 you ever have to purchase.when I find out what the line roller material is I'm buying 4 of em. Mated to my 5'6" Fenwick HMX 2pc spinning Rod as long as the Rod doesn't break should last a lifetime. If the line roller is brass/copper my search continues.
The reason behind my line roller concerns is I shelved 5 non KK brand spinning reels this yr due to poor quality line roller materials being used 1 reel the line roller got cut completely in half. FYI I only use 4lb mono. 2 of the reels the line roller is 50% cut in half. The other 1 I just started using for trout fishing this yr it has 2-1/2 months on it maybe 100 trout cawt I inspected it at the end of June an the line is starting to cut thru the line roller. Note this reel here was $40. The others came with combo's.
Wow, that should not be happening with just 4lb test. Hopefully you dont run into that with KK. I did look at the sharkey as well. It may be somthing I purchase in the future. I got the centron for an old fenwick I use minimally compared to my other rods. It is still holding up strong since the video was made. You can by an aftermarket handle for it as well on Ebay if you do not care for the big blue one it comes with. For under $30.00 it's not a bad little reel. Thanks for watching Bodhi Zafa, good luck with the Sharkey. Let me know how you like it.
I think a fair comparison would be the Kastking Centron to the Shimano Siennna as they are in the same price range. For the price the Centron is hard to beat. It’s better than some $50 and $60 reels I have.
+Joseph NY Wayfarer I agree with you Joseph. The sienna would be a close comparison. Can't beat the centron for the money. I can't think of any reel under $30 with equal quality or better. Thanks for watching our videos. We will have some more product reviews coming. Subscribe so you are notified of the next one. We appreciate all the support.
+PhillyJohnny1825 Thanks Philly! SO Your right next door. You will see on our videos we fish a lot of local lakes. Any good lakes you recommend your way?
I was just going to ask you the same thing! I'm from Northeast Philly and moved out here to West Chester / Exton two years ago; Just getting back into fishing this past trout season after a few years off; I've fished Marsh Creek a few times this summer - good spot for Muskie, Largemouth, Crappie - but high fishing volume there; For trout I went to French Creek, Ridley Creek, Pennypack Creek and had some good days; I have been searching different spots and I think I will try Hibernia County Park/Chambers Lake; Any spots you like in my area that I need to check out?
+PhillyJohnny1825 I have not had the pleasure of fishing blue marsh YET. But we do go to nockamixon lake. That's probably the closest one to you that we fish. Good for bass and catfish not for trout though.
Does this reel have the switch on the bottom of it? I don't know what it's called, but it allows the line to freely pull (not drag) when a fish is hooked.
RIPPIN LIPZ PA Cool. Just bought one tonight. Had just gotten a Penn Pursuit II 4000 but will be returning it. Seen another vid of this same reel with some Hi-Vis Yellow KK braid on it. Looks awesome.
When you get to the fishing part of your review, I had to mute it. The music is so loud compared to your voice that I couldn't understand you. Future content - please don't do that anymore :)
I will definitely tone it down on the next one. Thank you for the feedback Pete. Please subscribe so you get notified of our next review! Thanks for watching!

Please stand by for further details. Thank you for being a loyal KastKing fan :)
+Fernando Madrigal what's up Fernando. Mine came with the blue handle. They do sell handle upgrades on eBay and I've seen the grey one on there.
I just bought a Megatron 5000. I am impressed so far. It feels like a tank, and is super smooth!!! Great work Kastking! Thanks

So pretty much what you're saying is that kastking kicks ass?

Baground music name?
Music should be listed in description
6lbs braid... wtf for??? Lol
Lol wanted it to throw senkos and other plastics at leaser. Needed somthing light but could handle the timber.
Bad review, cut the music then record the reel in action not the boat.
Thanks for the review kidz365. A few others said that as well. I got you on the next one!
