Please become a budget travel guide! My husband and I travel with our two young boys very similarly to what you do with your family. I love how you balance being mindful of your spending with not missing out on adventures. Please please please continue videos like this ❤
My husband and I honeymooned in Maui 13 years ago. Our condo was through VRBO, we did a grocery haul at Costco, bought the Maui revealed book to give us insider info, hiked over lava stone to get to a secluded black sand beach (literally had to follow bleached coral to guide our path!), and did the road to Hana on our own, stopping at the red sand beach (stunning!) and we drove the backside as well. Sunrise at Haleakala (we were not prepared for the cold), snorkeling with sea turtles, helicopter tour of the island, horseback riding through the north part of the island… Maui is magical. This footage is bringing me back and I can’t wait to return sometime with our son to make even more memories!
I hope your family hooks you up/showers you with love on Mother's Day. You put so many amazing things together for them. What a vacation!! Memories for a lifetime.
How wonderful to see a happy, and loving family enjoy such a gorgeous vacation. You can see the gratitude in the eyes of all of you. The pure joy in each experience ❤❤❤
My brother sent my mom and dad to Hawaii in 1993 for their 40th because that is where they had gotten married, but my dad had stage IV kidney cancer so I'm sure he didn't have much fun. My husband and I will be married 40 years in August and we have had a lot of fun traveling on motorcycle here in the US and in Germany, Holland and France on the cheap. Research is the key, like you said. Thank you so much for sharing your vacation and family with us, it was breath taking! Happy Anniversary!
We chose a card with hotel points - we literally get all hotels free with points or extremely cheap using partial points. Started when we knew we wanted to do Disney years & years ago, planned ahead by 1.5 years it and covered TWO WEEKS of hotels.
husband and i will be celebrating 10 years of marriage in 2025, he has 2 cousins that are also celebrating their anniversaries, too. we’re thinking about going to belize together but separately and renting an airbnb as a home base for all of us to save on costs. this video gave me tons of ideas! thanks so much. glad you had a great family vacation!
This may of been my absolute favorite video of yours! I went to Hawaii with my Dad as a child before he died and this hit me in the feels! 😂I’m not crying it’s allergies lol😂
Christine over here living the life! I'm about ten years behind you with 4 kiddos and my goal is to be able to do this for our 20 year anniversary. Our oldest would be graduating that year too.
Hi Christine & Family: I think travel is the best experience you can give your children. My son and I have travelled extensively and always on a budget. We fly for free as I worked for an airline that is worldwide. So we save on airfare always next is hotel. My best was 3 nights at Comfort Inn on Paradise Island next to Atlantis in the Bahamas for $600. That included full breakfast and 2 days of Atlantis for 2 people as it is included with the hotel. It was amazing wanted to go there for years and finally got a deal.
Gidday Christine. I loved watching your video footage of your holiday. It brought back childhood memories for me. Our family travelled Australia and PNG during the 70’s and early 80’s. For my 6th birthday, our parents took us to Great Keppel Island on a glass-bottomed boat. We also could swim in the water as the boat was moving with a rope net and we snorkelled at the island. It is on the Great Barrier Reef, the water was a crystal clear shade of blue and the temperature of a warm bath. The sand was white. Cherished memories. ❤️🇦🇺
If you are traveling to Europe, there is no better budget guide than Rick Steves. You can borrow his books from the library, and his advice and free audio tours are INCREDIBLE
I was just approved for the CSP card today. This will be my first time credit card churning. Working towards a family Disney trip. This video came at the exact perfect time.
Great tips. We went to Hawaii last year as a family of 5. It was expensive but overall much cheaper than our normal Disney vacations. The luau’s are expensive but for a once in a lifetime experience totally worth it. Especially the one at the Polynesian culture center on Oahu. The Gypsy app was also excellent for the road to Hana. The app used GPS to tell you about all the stops and it played the history of Hawaii which was very interesting. It was cheap too (less than $20). Lastly if you do Haleakala save your pass cause it gives you access to a few other places for free as well if used in a certain time frame.
Your vacation reminded me of our family vacations when I was much younger and things were cheaper. We’d go off the beaten path. Traveled to the BVI and the roads were exactly like that road everywhere and I loved driving and you drive left there. ❤️ the music.
Credit card churning got us to Disney on a “budget”. Hawaii is next on our bucket list. Thank you for all the tips! I will need to rewatch and take notes!
We have been to Paris 3 times business class with miles with fully lay down beds, alcohol & dinner with real plates & silver. Look at the partner airlines. Some charge a lot less than the name brands. We do use loyalty points for hotel rooms too!
I am 68 yrs old. I learned a Great deal from your video I do have a credit card but I’ve never ventured out and done one of the ones that pay your bonuses etc., it’s used only for emergencies.I want to return to Germany my first husband and I live there when he was in the US Irene in the early 70s. My husband passed away before we could manage to do a 30th anniversary trip which we were saving for at the time of his death. So I’d really like to return there I hope I can save some money like this this was an amazing video thanks so much!
I ❤️ Hawaii. We did a 7 day cruise to several of the islands. Excursions on every island. Spent a fortune but so worth it. We will go back. We will fly and stay on Maui for a week or more. The beauty is stunning.
Oh yes, so glad to hear you used the Shaka app. My heart sank when you said the road to Hana prices. The best way to spend a day, or 2 on Maui. So much easier to do it on your own to spend as much time as you want at the stops you decide rather than the tour.
My daughters went to Maui and stayed at the hostel Banana Bungalow. They had an amazing time and excursions were close to free (maybe driver tip I think). They felt safe the whole time. Otherwise we have been to Oahu a couple times. Both times stayed at the Aston sunset because it has full kitchens and is 2 short blocks to the beach. The stay is definitely the biggest cost. But beaches are free so totally worth it.
Interesting! It's brilliant to have a financial analyst when investing! In a nutshell, with the assistance of my analyst Joseph Sullivan Anderson, I've amassed approximately 6 figures from an initial 4 figure investment thus far. During the recession, I was having an investing nightmare before consulting with an analyst.
I consider myself to be one of those who have benefited from Joseph Sullivan Anderson's knowledge without necessarily spreading it. He explained that no two trading days are ever exactly the same, so a trader must be able to analyse the price movement of each day in order to decide how best to use (or not use) their techniques based on the circumstances of that day. Sincerely, I would recommend him to anyone looking to significantly increase their trading profits.
very much the case. Given that they have the necessary knowledge and skill set to profit in these markets, financial advisors and analysts are useful for capitalising on recessions, crashes, or corrections. After attending a workshop where Joseph Sullivan Anderson was a featured speaker, I've made about $120,000 in profit since I began investing with him.
I'm glad I found these comments. I looked up Joseph Sullivan Anderson and he appears to be credible.... I also discovered that my colleague is under his mentorship, what a coincidence!
Christine, these are such amazing pics! Especially the last one with the kids hanging from the tree. What great memories! Loved this video and all the tips! ❤
OOOhhhh I wanna go back! Hubs and I went to Maui for our honeymoon. Maybe need to budget for our 25th anniversary... 4 yrs to go... Loved it there!!!! thanks for all the tips!
This video is fab Christine! I’m in Nz and we have pathetic credit card deals but we’re going to Hawaii in a few months. You answered about 4 of my questions thank you! Your holiday looked amazing ❤
Wow thank you so so much for sharing and inspiring us! I’m wondering how churning one cc got enough points to cover the flights. I am debt free and ready to try churning, with a family of 5 I am wondering how valuable points are how many tickets I can get? Maybe that could be an in depth topic for Christine Unfiltered? It’s a whole new language “points” “miles” so having someone explain it would be so very helpful! Take me through the process! 😊
I love this video. One question about the credit card churning: once you purchase the tickets, do you wait to cancel the card till you’ve actually used the tickets?
Loved your video! Ty for sharing! It brought tears to my eyes seeing a beautiful family inside and out have so much fun and doing it with wisdom. Ty for all you do, it is inspiring to do better! God bless!
Great video and some awesome budget travel tips! You and your family give me so much confidence that I’m going to be able to keep traveling when I have a large family someday, too. The only bummer with Hawaii is that if I ever went, I would absolutely stay in a hotel or resort. VRBO and AirBnB encourage people to buy up property on the islands for short-term rentals and are seriously contributing to pricing native Hawaiians out of their homes. I’d much prefer to pay the premium of a hotel and know that at some level it’s generating jobs for islanders
Completely agree! We went to Bologna and Florence in Italy and booked everything directly (food and wine tours) inc AirBnBs and it was *SO* much cheaper. Ironically someone I follow on YT did the same trip and it cost them a small fortune :D
We went to Hawaii in November for my parents’ 50th anniversary. We did the Road to Hana tour and stopped at the black sand beach. It poured almost the whole time 🤦🏻♀️ We took cover in a little cave near the water lol. Glad your experience was drier than ours!! Most rental car companies don’t let you take a car on the backside. I didn’t think to look at Touro instead, but I’m guessing their rules are different. We also did the snorkel tour and the Old Lahaina luau. Fun to see some of the same things in this video!! I’m meticulous and disciplined, but the idea of credit card churning makes me nervous 😬
We went to HI in 2018 for our honeymoon and went back 8 months later to spend 6 months on the island. We did the road to Hanna ourselves and it didn't cost us anything. We hicked the rainforest and stopped along really great shops and food stands along the way. We did use the app and that was super helpful.
I don't know if I have ever smiled so much during a video! What an amazing trip! I would love to go there someday! The turtles... some of them have seen so much change in the world in their lifetimes. 🐢❤
The Shaka app was the best! I was hoping that's the way you were going to lead people. I also heard that driving on the back side was not covered by insurance in a rental so we didn't do that. We just went in February, which is not a good idea, it was so windy that it interfered with our snorkeling. We were celebrating our 50th anniversary
Amazing, Christine. You and your family are an inspiration indeed ❤️ We did a trip to Japan on a budget. It is so doable with some planning and saving money over time. Others eat out, we food rescue (dumpster dive) in nice areas of our city, pick up furniture, house decor, clothes etc from the curbside, and shop yard sales, liquidation and clearance sales for anything else. Drive a super old car and do all the 100+1 other frugal hacks and BOOM trip to Japan becomes a reality! Love your energy and inspiration 🙏💗
This was such a fun video! The only thing I would add - and i mean, i would ASSUME that all your watchers would know this by now... - "pay off your cards before the due date each month so you don't pay interest on the money you put on the card." (If you said this and i missed, please forgive me.)
I loved enjoying part of your trip with you and your beautiful family. The one part you called the backside, I would only be able to do would be: A. i work for a credit card co; opening and closing cards affects your credit with inquiries and the closure.. be careful with opening and closing so much.. cr br scores may take a long time to replenish depending on what you already have on your credit rept.. :o)
happy anniversary & congrats grad! I'd add, see what your job offers- I have something called mybetterbenefits, offers discounts on cars, hotels and various activities. Recently saved me 60$ on a car rental for July. Also, my library offers VIP passes for local museums and parks

Go to Costa Rica...much more beautiful, more economical and closer...and all the beautiful wildlife that Hawaii seriously lacks.
@@debiwillis9045 we are considering passports but currently only travel in the United States.
Road to Hana brought back so many memories for me. We did it as a family when I was ten. I'm 36 now.
I can use all the travel tips and hacks I can get. So beautiful! Thank you for sharing. 😊
This was amazing. The information and the cool snips from your trip. ❤

I LOVED this so much! Thank you for sharing this.
This was an amazing vlog all around. Great tips but also thank you for sharing parts of your remarkable trip to Hawaii. Loved everything about this.

Omgosh…I learned so much! Thank you
We are going for our 10 year but we are taking the cruise to the 4 islands, those are great ideas for when we land in Maui, thank you
You learn so much more this way and have a much richer experience! Glad everyone had such a great trip.
I think this was my all time favorite vlog of yours. Well done!
I would love to plan a trip with my 4 kids.

This was an amazing video. Ty for taking us along with you.
Fantastic video Christine! Thank you.
Thanks so much for sharing!
So fun to watch - thank you for sharing!
Amazing, Christine. You and your family are an inspiration indeed ❤️
We did a trip to Japan on a budget.
Thanks for sharing Christine, all the info and all the sights!
What a magical vacation for your family. Thanks for all the tips.
You have a beautiful family! Thanks for sharing your saving tips and adventures!
I loved enjoying part of your trip with you and your beautiful family. The one part you called the backside, I would only be able to do would be: A. If I was driving, because of being a former truck driver, I am a HORRIBLE passenger. B. If my husband did what he threatens me with all the time when we go somewhere "I am going to get you blindfold and a gag". It's our running joke, because I am constantly telling him how to drive. I forgot to mention, I also taught truck driving.
I am now 70, can still drive circles around my husband, lol. My real problem is and will always be a total control freak.
I really enjoyed your travel tips, and reliving some of the memories of our trips to Maui through your video. For this fall, we're using credit card rewards and getting 4 free nights in London and 1 in Barcelona. Lol, we're down to 4 points! The first yr I got the credit card I said I wasnt willing to pay an annual fee so I got the reward feature and have never been charged the annual fee.
Great tips--shared this with a friend planning a Hawaii trip!
Awesome vacation! Thanks for sharing.😊

Beautiful trip. Thank you for sharing!
happy anniversary & congrats grad! I'd add, see what your job offers- I have something called mybetterbenefits, offers discounts on cars, hotels and various activities. Recently saved me 60$ on a car rental for July. Also, my library offers VIP passes for local museums and parks
Awesome awesome trip thanks for sharing. My experience with my grandkids they want to be at the beach and hiking and its free
I love the music along with the video. Who is it? Looks like an awesome trip!!
