- Here are my favourite 5 dessert shops in Tokyo, Japan that we visited on our recent trip. The Japanese love sweets and so it's worth it to try all the unique creations and fit it in between all the other restaurants that you'll be going to. Everything from the croquant chou, soufflé pancake, matcha soft serve, ice cream, and crepes were all so good.
The full guide is on the blog: goingawesomeplaces.com/ultimat...
I don't know if it was just me but I found it hard to find good dessert recommendations in Tokyo. There's so much of a focus on restaurants that the desserts often get overshadowed. The other thing I noticed was that there was definitely a big affinity for European desserts. Thing is, we didn't come to Japan for European pastries and so we were on the hunt for something more Japanese. That's how I came to decide on these five places to eat dessert.
Here are all of the restaurants that are featured in this video:
1. Japanese Ice OUCA (食べログ) - 0:25
2. Flipper’s (代官山店) - 2:28
3. Zaku Zaku (ザクザク) - 4:11
4. Angels Heart - 6:12
5. Tsujiri (辻利) - 7:44

AWW that's so amazing! I'm glad that the Ireland itinerary was helpful. Yes if you're going to Tokyo and Japan I got a ton of content about that on the blog and here on the channel. You're going to have an awesome time!!
The peach parfait in Wako Ginza is one of the best I’ve eaten in my life 😉😋
god i love this channel. your 10/10
We love your videos and, of course, Japan too 😋 greetings from Italy! ✌️
Thanks guys!! You guys have an awesome channel too and just subscribed :) Hopefully I didn't make you guys TOO hungry!
Going Awesome Places thanks 😍✌️ we are ALWAYS too HUNGRY! 😁
Red Edamame always good if you’re in Japan 😂
They have Tsujiri in Toronto. Head to Bay and Dundas and you can have it any time!
I didn't even realize at the time eh? I heard we got some sort of green tea dessert shop but didn't realize it was Tsujiri. Haven't been to to the Toronto shop yet though!
You can get Japanese soufflé pancakes in Singapore.. grams in VivoCity and Belleville In bugis junction and novena . I prefer Belleville
Ada cogan 😘😘
Dude you sold be on Flipper's! I thought it was overrated but your facial expression told me that it's not! hahah
OMG you have to go! It's slowly becoming a popular thing out here in Canada too so you know it's popular. Definitely worth it - it's just not something I've ever had before!!
my girlfriend makes me pancakes every sunday so it's going to keep our sunday pancake tradition alive when we go! :)
辻利行きたい!
I hope I translated this correctly: 緑茶のアイスクリームは素晴らしかった :)
That's correct Japanese!!
I really love your videos.
For me as Japanese, there's a lot of new findings in your video.
Different point of view and new things I did not know.
You know much better than me about Japan and how to enjoy it.
Appreciate it! I'm sure we have a very touristic view of Tokyo but I'm glad to hear that it's giving you a different perspective about Tokyo and Japan. Keep on on exploring :)
where can we try Nama donuts in tokyo?:)
That’s a good question. The ironic thing is that I believe it’s only available at Mitsukoshi Mall in Taguig, Philippines at the Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory.
Is that croquant choux
farrel raffif sure is!!
You look like joe taslim 😊
I didn’t know who he was but just looked him up and I’m flattered! ☺️
When you said not traditional like an ‘American’ pancake I realised that America is not in any way traditional
Yeah it's interesting how where we grow up really sets the norms in terms of what we deem as "traditional" or "normal". That's why I love how travel really opens up our eyes and perspectives!
theres got to be more than ice cream in tokio... so disapointed XD
串団子と抹茶アイスクリームは合わないと思う。
団子は密度が高く冷やすと固くなる性質。
どら焼きの生地のように空気を含んで舌に温かみを感じる食感の方が冷たいアイスクリームを引き立たせる。
You are right! It does seem strange to add something cold to the dango 🍡!
