  • In this video, we dive into the concept of "connective tissue" for guitarists, focusing on how to navigate from one chord to another in the key of G. Whether you're playing acoustic or electric, these techniques will add depth and interest to your playing.
We'll explore the use of walk-ups and walk-downs, demonstrating key licks that bring life to your music. Using examples like Paul McCartney’s "Blackbird," we’ll cover various ways to play a G chord and how to incorporate E minor walk-ups, transitioning through chords smoothly with little licks in between.
You’ll learn about maintaining common tones, using fingerstyle techniques, and the importance of touch, tone, time, and taste in your playing. This lesson is packed with practical tips and demonstrations to enhance your musicality.

Great heading. Some people teach you so you can do it, and some people prefer to casually show off what they know.

Am I inspired? Heck yeah. Your discussion of the touch is something I taught myself. I rarely use a pick, but I experiment a lot. That's why I love the guitar so much, variety. Octaves, bending, pull offs, tapping. It's like that big box of Crayons I got as a kid. Thank you so much.❤
