I recommend you both hear “You know how we do it” by ice cube next for him, it’s another one of his classics, would show your Dad a lot more about the west coast sound at that time, and it also has a music video too!
Man admire every second you have with your dad. I lost mines ears ago but I wish he was here. Having a real farther in my world was a blessing. Detroit 7 Mile love
I've been Ice Cube fen all my life. I'm 35 now and I'm from eastern Europe. Back in the days it was very very hard to find any hip hop record in my country. So Ice cube - Lethal Injection was one of my first cassettes, I was 4th grade and after that I naver missed a single Ice Cube song. Anyways I think "You know how we do it" is a great choise. All time classic and it's a good start to introduce him to the whole "G-funk" era. I know you mention it few times. I love your chanel... I wish my father can understand at least a lil bit engish so I can play some tracks for him... But never going to happen! 😄
I absolutely love watching you guys. You’re both real and vibe with good music regardless of where you’re from or lifestyle lived. You hear it for what it is instead of simply looking down on them because you don’t share the same life experiences.
If you want to find Ice Cube smiling you should definitely show your dad the interview he had with Jimmy Click (aka Martin Short). Their comedic chemistry together and Short's utterly bizarre questions are a riot, and even Cube couldn't help chuckling a little and joining in the fun. Would definitely recommend giving it a watch!
Absolute classic, love the reaction as always! Time to introduce pops to Souls of Mischief '93 Till Infinity. I mean he said "93'?" here, it's like an omen bro lol.
I think it would be a good idea for you guys to possibly react to Straight Outta Compton or even just the trailer for your dad to see the stories of rap come alive! I think he’d enjoy it!
To me this is one of the greatest songs of all time and an amazing look into one of the strongest horses mind as he pulled hip-hop into a new Era, it's not like he is out of the hood yet. But no longer just a No name kid which No recognition to his name. The insanity of the late 80s was winding down. Just a track about good day in SC. Masterpiece
Ice cube - what can I do? remix (story telling) Ice cube - who’s the Mack? (Story telling) Ice cube - no Vaseline (diss track) Ice cube - My summer vacation (story telling) Ice cube - a bird in the hand (Kendrick sampled the same sample) Ice cube - who got the camera? (Powerful message) Ice cube - the predator I can go on but man does ice cube have some legendary songs. He’s a living breathing legend. Please do more of Ice Cube.
Great videos, fellas. I think it's cool that your dad has kept listening to this song since you introduced it to him. You should have him listen to "Check Yourself" and "Once upon time in the projects".
A great song! Idk if you guys have listened to any of A Tribe Called Quest but I think you guys would like them. Some good songs are “Can I Kick It” “El Segundo” and “Bonita Applebum”
Can you do 2 of America’s most wanted, California love, ambitionz az a ridah, I ain’t mad at cha, gin & juice, who am I (snoop dogg), ruff ryders anthem and I get around. I know those are alot but pls at least do a few of them
Now this made me smile your pops, " no way, It was a good day, wow wow oh wow wow " and can go back to the year almost. This is my fav song as a 15 year old on the block at 2 am...
You should react to Snoop Dogg Doggystyle album. It’s a classic hip hop album that I believe everyone should hear all the way through atleast one time. It’s a true masterpiece.
And I will keep posting this but also watch other films like Eminem's, 50 Cent's, Biggies and Tupc's, even if off camera but I bet your dad would love to get more context on them!
"Who's The Mack" and "Jackin' for Beats" are classic Ice Cube songs. Then you could get into his Westside Connection(WC) era. My favorite WC song is "The Gangsta, The Killa, and The Dope Dealer".
No Vaseline, gangster rap made me do it, you know how we do it all really good ice cube songs I always love these reactions this is a great video/song to react to
ice cube tracks: no vaseline, go to church, arrest the president, check yoself (classic one, you've gotta hit that), ghetto bird, hello (nwa but), you can do it, dope man (again nwa but) also not cube but since your dad liked notorious thugs, should check out crossroads, mo murda, and thug love
Ice Cube is my favourite US rapper, some of my favourite tracks of his; Hood Robbin (my favourite track) No vaseline Summer Vacation Doing Dumb Shit Ghetto Vet (second favourite track) Why We Thugs Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It Nothing Like LA King Of The Hill (Westside Connection Track, Cypress Hill Diss)
This man has to be protected at all costs! Great example of a father ❤
Legend.
This kid is happy to have father like this ✌🏿
Ice cube is legendary and this is one of my favorite songs of his. Still a banger 30 years later. 👏👏👏 Great reaction
I recommend you both hear “You know how we do it” by ice cube next for him, it’s another one of his classics, would show your Dad a lot more about the west coast sound at that time, and it also has a music video too!
has to be the remix tho obviously
This was going to be my recommendation
Bro your dad is one of the most down to earth M 'Effers of all time. Salute!
That Outkast album in the background is definitely worthy of an album reaction. I think Dad would really enjoy it. 🤞
You should play him “No Vaseline” to show him a more violent side of ice cube
If you want violent then Hood Mentality album is the one
At this point, they should just react to the whole Straight Outta Compton movie for the context
Bruh 🤣
not even that violent for diss track or ice cube standards tbh
I don’t think Dad is ready 😂
Man admire every second you have with your dad. I lost mines ears ago but I wish he was here. Having a real farther in my world was a blessing. Detroit 7 Mile love
The way that Dad talks about how Ice Cube can paint vivid pictures with his words! My FAVORITE all time story teller. ((100 Percent True))
Loved Nas for this specific reason aswell
Love this video! I like ice cube anyway and I'll just love his voice and I like that he sampled a song by the Isley Brothers "Footsteps in the Dark"
When the dad sings along "it was a good day"... damn... feeling it for real.
Your dad is magic ❤
His reaction when the beat drops!
Cube has been in a few cute, family movies that were funny. Dad can see Cube smile there 😉
Your dad will love "You Know How We Do It" by Ice Cube, very similar to this one and just as good.

Have you ever played him the original sample, "Footsteps In The Dark" by The Isley Brothers?
Yup, great tune!
This just made me really smile 😊 Sounds as good as the first time I heard it. Can’t believe that was 32 years ago!! 🤯
Absolute classic, love the reaction as always! Time to introduce pops to Souls of Mischief '93 Till Infinity. I mean he said "93'?" here, it's like an omen bro lol.
Surprised you and your dad barely covered this Cube classic, thanks for making our day a good day.
Grove St for life
I love the fact that your dad knows the lyrics now😍🥲😂
A lot of people sleep on Ice Cube's 2008 solo revival album, Raw Footage
I think the song, Gangster rap made me do it, is excellent, as is the video.
I love that album!
Album was HARD !!!
Sample from
Footsteps in the Dark by the Isley Brothers. Classic material

I think it would be a good idea for you guys to possibly react to Straight Outta Compton or even just the trailer for your dad to see the stories of rap come alive! I think he’d enjoy it!

@@frontroom I think they're talkin about the movie
@@nassaid yea my Dad responded I don’t think he realized 😂 we should Def do that! - Kai
@@frontroom Kai!👍Please consider doing 8 Mile and Get Rich or Die Tryin! These two movies would give your dad so much more context on Em and 50 😃
To me this is one of the greatest songs of all time and an amazing look into one of the strongest horses mind as he pulled hip-hop into a new Era, it's not like he is out of the hood yet.
