I feel like metal sonic should've used the skeleton legs with boots. Not sure how they'd look with a normal minifig torso, but i think they'd be better than this
Right but like all the sonic characters are kinda spindely, so it makes sense to just translate to a regular minifig because comparatively he's just a tiny bit thinner than other sonic characters.
I agree on the Gremlin legs, that would have been a cool choice to get a robotic variant of them (among the various scale and fur versions we already have lol)
A part of me wishes that Metal Sonic was more in the style of the Star Wars droids, like what they did in Lego Dimensions, but I'm glad that we're getting him at all.
Yes. I had some idias\hopes for robot arms and leggs but still overall a good figure. The molded head sort of makes up for those details but in anny case glad we got him. I just like it when heroes get some villians of the same species or something like superman and zod or goku and broly. It realy makes heroes standout when they defeat foes with identical abillities. Gives the hero a chalange. Metal modifies himmselfe to defeat sonic and even if not comic or show acurate givving him something like a jetpack or uther mechanical upgrades will be fun for me.
I think this cyclone is based off a mix of Sonic Adventure 2 and the one tails uses to fly in sonic frontiers the colours and printing matches that more accurately, the flight mode also resembles the frontiers version a lot more
I can not wait for the future Lego Commercial. Eggman taking over Lego and both Shadow commercials are my favorite due to how gosh darn funny they are.
Dang the set looks awesome. I just wish they gave Metal a more droid-like body, but the Cyclone looks so nicely built... I wish we can get a set with E-123 Omega. That's a bigger possibility
What makes me happy for this set the most is that IT IS A SMALL SET like, my spending treshold for lego is really minimal, and I'm so happy the Shadow set is "only" 200BRL here in Brazil. The more small sets with different characters we get, the better.

I already have a knock-off of Metal Sonic that I bought at a Swap Meet, but it would be nice to get this one too. I already have a Tails that isn't a knock-off but I could use the Tails in this set to make a custom Tails Nine minifigure.
if i had to guess i'd say the cyclone is moreso based on the sonic frontiers model rather than the sa2 model (judging by how the yellow on the feet wraps all around similar to the frontiers cyclone)
I love this 💛 Along with the Biolizard set and the Sonic Campfire set, these are the ones I Buy on the first day of January 😎 I've seen divided coments for the Metal Sonic minifigure, some saying they would prefer his Lego Dimensions Design but I personally think it's fine 💙 plus Dimensions Design would have very limited articulation since it uses Star Wars Lego Battle Droid parts.

My only issue is the Metal Sonic minifgure itself because I really wished it was based on the Lego Dimensions design as it was far more accurate and looked less jarring becuase he had a body mould similar to the Battle Droids from the Star Wars sets. A chunky Metal Sonic looks so wrong lmao

Metal Sonic looks like a bootleg minifig they should have give him a similar design to his lego dimensions counterpart that price tag is not worth it it would be better if it were 20-25 dollar price tag for a 290 piece set
A little bit disappointed by how the Cyclone look here, it's missing its tail wing and the legs look a bit odd. I think I'll still buy it but I hope someone will make a moc of it that looks better.

Sonic Adventure 2 is my favourite video game of all-time, so all of these LEGO sets based on that game are a dream come true for me.

The Cyclone is based off of the Sonic X design, which is why it looks less like the SA2 design

The Cyclone doesn't have a tailfin in mech mode. The cannon that's there is the one that's there ingame.
