We know nothing about their lives, and the reasons that pushed them toward alcoholism.... Everyone is different, and we ALL have demons. Just understand that, and never judge other. Peace....

Substances addiction is half disease, half lack of self discipline.
Addicts who think they just have a disease that "makes" them to use/drink have much lower chances to get sober because they don't realize they have to train self control aswell...

@@tom1949213 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I used to teach & here in the uk, one little girl came to our school and she was Russian. All that child wanted was a whistle. She was desperate for a whistle, so I organised for her to be ‘taken to help a teacher’ to get her out of the classroom while the rest of us got ready. I’d bought a cake, some simple and cheap presents like a colouring book , crayons…the children wrapped them, wrote on cards, put out snacks, crisps, biscuits etc. we’d agreed a secret signal so the other adult knew to bring her back. She loved it! I probably only spent £15. The children were always really good at knowing who and why some children got more than they did. Their parents would buy them gifts etc. we had a lovely little party 😄 When she first came she stood at the school fence bars wailing ‘mama’ so I rang home and asked my Ukrainian grandad how to tell her that mama would come back soon & I would keep her safe & not to be scared. So I said it to her, it was near enough of a translation to stop her crying. The took my hand and with her big brown eyes she looked at me and beamed 💙 a lovely girl, she was 5 at that time.
Doesn’t always have to cost a lot to make someone happy x
@@lilacscentedfushias1852 - how kind you were to her. She was probably lonely and frightened at that school fence. It is hard enough to be the new student; it is much harder to not understand the language you are hearing all around you. Your short sentences in Ukrainian made her feel safer and not so lost in a strange country. Very true - it does not cost a lot of money to make a day special for a child. You didn't mention, but I hope she got her whistle among the gifts that day!

She is a lovely girl and her parents were doing the best they could. She was obviously taught family values and she clearly loved them.
@@lyndac3509 it’s obvious her parents love her very much she is so loving and kind , they even placed her awards into plastic envelopes. I doubt they would do anything to hurt her at all humble and good people . With everything you see in the world right now it really nice to see kindness .
@@lyndac3509 - I hope you are wrong about the gifts. I hope she will be able to keep them and enjoy them. The dog, like most dogs in those countries, will forage for food outside if they forget to feed him or run out of dog food. Her parents do seem to care for her - they have kept all her school awards safe and they are happy to show them to strangers. That says to me that they have a lot of pride and love for her.
The best would be drying out and getting sober. Such a waste.

They are so proud it's very heartbreaking that they are surviving if barely. Thank you for all you do. These poor village children of alcoholics, she hasn't given up but it must be hard for a teen. The birthday cake was a lovely surprise. And a bike and a laptop. It's so kind.

I am not so sure myself. The fact that she was so adamant she wanted to live alone when she grows up rang alarm bells for me and made me wonder what's going on behind closed doors. Sometimes abuse and neglect may not be as evident as in other cases, but they may still exist.
@@Basauri48970 that poor girl is not in a healthy place to live, the mother does seem to care some but as you might know as well that some mothers do look the other way when their partner abuses a child in front of them and even blame the child for being with their partner, I agree with your observation about wanting to live alone, especially when she is a only child and not living in an overcrowded house, just hope that young lady gets a better chance of life

Great job 👏. Beyond the gifts themselves, it gave her hope that her future can be different then what she may think is in store for her. That dog will become her best friend, and hopefully can be a first step towards her dreams of being a dog handler/trainer if that's what she wants. I was born in a communist country, I know exactly what post communist countries like Russia are and exactly how their citizens behave and are in general.
Criminality is the highest in the world and charity is the lowest in the world… robbing and cheating people is a daily occurrence everywhere in those countries.
Communist lies left an awful legacy…that’s not gonna heal in another 100 years.

@@kathyhayward5730 they don't live in the US. People have had dogs and livestock for 1000ds of years. There were no vets and no pet food. Will you survive without a Big Mac?
@@ginakelley749 I've owned lot of pets and livestock. Feeding them table scraps is generally OK, but you have to have scraps to begin with. The families he's helping barely have enough food for themselves, and the local cuisine seems to rely heavily on onions, which are dangerous for dogs.
Best not to expect anything, it's automatic you will get what you need/want. 😌
