Full walk through of vehicles responding to 10-77 Box 658 on West 28th St between 8th and 9th Avenues on 12/08/2023. Includes a few arrivals with sirens and air horns:
Rescue Battalion with siren
Field Comm with air horn
MRTU 3 with siren and air horn
Also includes engines, ladders, chiefs, RAC, and ambulances on scene

Has the cause of this fire been been reported?

I didn’t remember anything really specific so I just went back and listened to the scanner clips-when you asked it made me curious! It was reported just as a fire in apt 16G at 330 west 28th st. Searches were delayed due to heavy clutter. But I don’t think they ever said what it specifically started as (kitchen, electrical, etc).

It’s not child abuse. It’s not like he’s working as a firefighter for 30 years in the 70’s. He’s on scene with trucks mostly having arrived already. Relax. Plus, the DB level of the sirens that the FDNY uses are a fraction of the DB level of the standard “Q” sirens. I’ve been buffing for years, and my hearing has no difference. Let her live her life, and stop worrying about things that aren’t your concern.
