The awkward scramble to turn the camera on, the playing on his knees in a jeans and t-shirt, and then the awkward scramble to turn the camera off. The low-ish video quality. The incredible, awe-inspiring guitar playing. Really brings me back to a simpler time. This is beautiful and nostalgic. First time I’ve heard this riff and it and the accompanying riffs, licks, and soloes were executed beautifully. This man is a one-man band, playing drums, bass, rhythm guitar, and lead guitar all at the same time all through a single guitar. Super well-executed. I wonder if afterwards, he had that “damn, I am so fucking good at guitar” feeling we have from time to time. I wonder if this was his fifth take. His tenth take? So beautiful.

This is a flipping masterpiece, it's like a recorded human lifetime written as music. The pure ecstasy of the chorus, the mystery and excitement of the little bridges, the familiarity and simplicity of the three chord pattern, but the way it turns sombre towards the end, each note strikes a different emotion in one's heart, the fear, the sadness, the desperation. That feeling of longing for more, the emptiness, the void, the pain... and even the final chord at the end. The way it's played. That sound. I imagine that sound is what heaven sounds like

sorry for this question.. I was wondering if you covered exactly John's song or did you improvise? 'Cause I never heared more than 15 seconds of John playing it.. Thanks

I wouldn’t say ‘improvised’... It’s pretty clearly pre-conceived. Very well written! Am I going to steal it?

I came here years back to find a better video to learn it instead of watching John play it and rewind and watch etc.... I learned this and that. I through this on my iPod and listened to it at work so I could start getting the strumming patterns down in my head as well as the tones of the notes as there are No tabs gotta play it by ear.

@@axelgrabalos8769 Yea it's pretty similar. And this one here is actually not far away from Jimi's all along the watchtower verse. Strong influence at least.
