Thank you. This is the best video I have found. Great explanations. No one could tell me why my green flow light was flashing. I now know it is communicating with the automated system. A great relief.
Hello! Your videos are very helpful. Question: my iChlor 30 display is reading “AC” and a red light runs quickly from top to bottom in a sequence. It is hooked up to the intellichlor power center and the light is green inside the center. The system is only two years old. I just noticed this yesterday and have no idea what to do! Any help would be wonderful. I’m clueless with anything electrical if that’s the case. Thank you so much I’m advance.
Hey Callie, I’m not sure as I’ve never experienced that. I even checked the manual and it doesn’t say anything about an error code “AC”. I’d venture to think it has to do with power. What is the voltage going into the power center? Is it wired properly?
I think our power box is 240V that is going to the power center. The pool company installed everything so I’m assuming it’s wired properly. It’s very odd. It has ran fine for 2 years and now this pops up.
It sounds like the cell needs to be replaced. It should have a 3 year warranty so you should be good. Contact your installer and they should take care of it from there!
Fantastic video, went over all of the light functions and meanings... thanks for your help! Fantastic HD video also, not like the majority of the POOR, grainy cell phone video on most other videos!
I just installed this weekend. We have not added salt to the pool yet. I was wondering my lights stay on all night even though the pump is not running. Is that normal?. If not when you think it’s wrong
That is bad. It should not be hot 24/7. It should only be on when the pump is running. You are prematurely killing the cell it can also create gas build up in the lines (if the water is not flowing and the flow switch fails) which can be dangerous. Please make sure it's adjusted to not be on without the pool pump running. Thanks for watching!
Hi. I have an ichlor 30. Flow and cell light are solid green. Salt light is blinking red and green for hours. Any idea of what that is? Thanks a lot for your help!
If all led lights are out does that mean water is too cold? Ours is only 2 weeks old and all lights when out. If we unplug and plug back up the lights flash then go dark.
No it sounds like possibly a fuse blew in the power center. It'll say cold on there if the water is too cold. Could also be a short if they quickly flash then turn off.
Hi. My flow light is green and cell is green. Salt is solid red. But I can't get to the menu setting by holding more button. I wanted to check the salt reading. Please help
It sounds like the membrane pad is bad. That number is the reverse polarity. I just swapped out a cell that was doing the same thing as you’re describing.
That means the salt is north of 4500ppm. You can dilute some of that salt with putting a hose in to fill the pool for a bit. If it’s full already just put the hose in first and hour or so for a couple of weeks and it should bring it down to optimal ranges.

I just put my pool back together after purchasing an ichlor30. I’ve had the cell for 2 months last summer and now when opening my pool I have a solid red light next to flow. Can it possibly be a bad flow switch only having 2 months use ? Thanks in advance.
Chlorine King Pool Service it’s a long story but to some it up I had an icholor30 installed 2 summers ago and I had that put in by an a pool guy. That crapped out only after one summer. I fought with pentair last summer cause it crapped out after one season. They sent me a brand new one and used it 2 months last summer. Now I reinstalled it and the thing doesn’t work. I feel like these things are pieces of Sh*t
a couple of days ago my salt light came on solid red. i have cleaned the filter, pump and skimmer baskets. i fired our pool guy last fall and no salt has been added at least since then. do i need to add salt or increase the flow? water tastes a little salty if that means anything

I’m really glad it helped! Thank you for watching. If you’re willing to please subscribe. Have a great day!

It sounds like your salt level is low. I’d it’s not a good cleaning should help with that.

What if the word CELL is in green where the percentage should be? What is causing that issue?
Bad cell.
Thank you!
@rebeccamccutcheon3935 you’re very welcome. Thanks for watching.
Hi.
My flow light is green and cell is green. Salt is solid red.
But I can't get to the menu setting by holding more button. I wanted to check the salt reading. Please help
Also when I press and hold the less button then it allows me to change a number from 3 to 5 hr

My flow switch might be bad, how do I change the flow switch
Hey Florence. I have a video on how to replace it. You can see it here: ruclips.net/video/AtUF9qQ-X5o/видео.html
Good luck!
Salt is flashing green what can I do?

Unfortunately this is a known issue with the ichlors if you have the old style (1st gen) flow switch. The new switches solve it for sure.
Chlorine King Pool Service so purchasing a new flow switch for the unit will solve the issue? I can’t even believe it went after two months use.
It should be covered under warranty (3 years) as long as a licensed installer installed it.
Contact your installer and if they aren’t a warranty station they should be able to help.

What if it displays. CELL
Typically low salt/phospates (in manual) but generally it means a replacement cell in my experience.
Thank you for the explanation, helped me alot
You’re welcome!
What does it mean if it says Cell instead of the percentage every time I inspect the cell?
Usually a combination of low salt and low water temperatures. What's the temp of your pool water?

Where is the solid light? Is it next to flow or salt?
