For anyone asking - This is the bag is the "The Bigger Carry on" by Away. It is not the smaller "The Carry On" size. "The Bigger Carry On" has 10 indents on the front of it, and the smaller " The Carry On" only has 9. If you count the indents on the case she is using, there are 10 which means she is actually using "The Bigger Carry On". Sizing "The Bigger Carry On" = 57.7 cm x 37.3cm x 24.3 cm Regular "The Carry On" = 55.1 cm x 34.8 cm x 22.9 cm. Just something to note as well, if your wheels stick out even a few cm from the sizer, you will be asked to check your luggage. This is dependent on the person who is helping you though in my experience, so be nice and polite! If you want to play it safe, just get the regular "The Carry On" size :)
I appreciate that in your mansplaining you went into the effort of counting the indents when, within the first five words of my video, I literally say “Away Bigger Carry-On”
@@LAXtoLuxury mansplaining? A lot of people in the comment section were asking for the dimensions which you did not include in the video. He just commented this for them.
@@Lilibtstan a lot of airlines have the 8kg restriction, they just never enforce it. I noticed a lot of European short haul dont have enough over head room, so they ask their passenger to check their carry on at the check in and at the gate.
This is really up to the gate agent. For the last 5 yrs I been traveling with a carry on and never had an issue until last week a American gate agent refused to let me board with the same carry on. 🤷🏼♂️
I saw a Frontier agent argue with a man about the wheels making his bag 2" too tall. He went outside and returned, sweating, with no wheels. He was allowed to fly. Lol
probably he unscrewed the wheels and put in pockets. The thing is that even some airlines let you in, a different guy / gal at the gate may be standing with the sizer box that they drop on your bag and if it does not take your bag completely without being forced, you can be threatened to pay or not board. Heard that cheap airlines do this occasionally but not always.
It's unlikely that Delta will measure your bag. The most likely negative scenario would be getting forced to gate check your bag, however they're most likely not going to charge you for that.
I always take a bag that doesn’t fit in that silly carry on cage. No one has ever stopped me 😅 But then again, I generally try to avoid budget airlines
it doesn't matter if it will fit in that box anymore, soon TSA will update to automatic scanner. That bigger carry on is 23x15x9.5 , as long as ur luggage is not 22x14x9, you will get a tag. The machine will tell it right away. All those bigger carry on will be useless! Just get a normal carry on and save more money later on.
Never flying Avianca again, they were making nearly everyone pay for checked bags for their carry ons because it didn’t slide in without pushing, these are standard carry ons that would fit anywhere. They only let 2 out of like 10 of us go and they had the tiny carry ons🙄
They'll decrease the carry-on size in a few years and then you'll have to buy a new, smaller, carry-on. My carry-on used to fit no problem in all the sizes 10 years ago. Recently found out, it's too big now.

Sucks that weight limits this on international non American Airlines. Also lol at the ppl mad when you mentioned it’s away like 5 seconds into the video 🤦♀️
For international travel 1. Do all airlines allow a personal handbag/backpack and a carry-on bag? 2. Do all airlines do not weigh the handbag/backpack and only weigh the carry-on bag in the 7kg carry on weight limit? 3. Do all airlines not weigh whatever we are wearing like coat/sweater, phone, headphones, watch, etc.?
What was your bag size? I'm travelling by easyJet soon. Need to know if the wheels cause trouble. I know their allowance is 45×36×20. Unfortunately, my bag is without wheels 48cm×35×20
Easy jet will charge you and possibly expect you place to place in the hold if you haven’t paid for the additional carry on. Their size rules changed they only allowing one item free up to the size 45x36x20 on board per person. Unless your have paid for a up front of extra leg room seat your allowance would be the 55cm cabin size.
For easyjet it is the size of a large carry on which is not free, you need to pay for this. The bag at the top is the free carry on size. This is the size of a back pack
