Hi Willard! WigJig was purchased by a new company a few years ago. All of their books are out of print. We had the delphi book for quite some time, but have run through our last copies.
They don't have to. That is more a traditional or classic look and it helps give a little protection from the ear wire falling out of the hole in the ear. However, I have seen and made many ear wires without that little bump out. Usually the ear wire hangs a bit longer in the back on those. It's a personal preference. ~ Kristen
I haven't tried it personally but, I believe it would. You may have to space the pegs out a little further depending on the diameter of the wire but, otherwise should be just fine. ~ Kristen

Why do ear wires have the bump out?

Will twisted square wire work in this application?
