Hi. Is there a sync issue with planner and outlook. I've followed your steps but sometimes it shows, sometimes it doesn't. Also depends on desktop and app version. Not sure how much I can rely on this
Great video, very clearly explained. I am trying to get the planner calendar to sync with the team group calendar in outlook. Is this functionality currently possible?
Great video! After integrating the planner and outlook calendars, does it already appear in the "calendar" area of teams as well? That is, will it be in the 3?
Great video. Once you get a task in outlook calendar and you make changes to the due date on planner, your outlook calendar does not follow the changes or sync. Is there a way to fix it?
I have found the attachment component to be a little more flexible than presented. You can add files, links and from SharePoint. It is not dependent on Power Automate and the files tab in Teams.
So true, there is a lot of functionality that comes from SharePoint and when used with Power Automate you can automate file sharing, file approvals etc. The MS Teams file structure helps keep files organised with a folder for each channel etc. :)
Hello, nice explanation 01.do we have to give access to see planner other then team person like my boss to see. 02. If I have existing shared calendar with team do i can share planner details there. 03. In my team can I control access like read only Thanks
Hi, great video, its really helpful! Have you had a chance to make one showing how you have automated functionality on Power Automate? We're trying to do bits currently and it would be really great to see how you've done it as mentioned in the video!
Thanks, is there something specific you would like to see? I was thinking of creating a video on how to create tasks via Power Automate and maybe another video on how to move tasks between buckets.
@@ThatOfficeGuyBoth of those ideas would be really helpful. We're stuggling on how to update tasks once they are in there and how to assign tasks generated using information from MS forms into different buckets...e.g. if it contains x go to this bucket, if it contains y go to this one.
The function that you will want to use is called switch, I have used this function to move tasks from one bucket to another. I am waiting on a new microphone to be delivered, once it arrives I will post a video showing this example where I move tasks between different buckets and you should be able to adapt it to work for you.
Here is the link to the video where I use Switch to run different actions based on a criteria, you can use a result from MS Forms to create the tasks accordingly. ruclips.net/video/ZKPLqX_ksR8/видео.html
Hi, I am curious if you managed to make a video on "business process flow" using power automate as you mentioned @6:42. I am managing major projects with several buckets, each bucket representing each department and would love to automate tasks (move tasks) when one department finishes, it moves to the next bucket automatically. Allowing to move the tasks with description, checklist, attachments and etc.. Thank you for this video. It is helpful
Great Video, but how do add time to a task and how can that be sync wit Outlook? E.g. I want to give someone a task for 9:00 and another task for 11:00. Thank you
I have added it to my outlook calendar on my PC, but do not see it on my device. It does not show up as an option to choose iPhone calendar or on the Outlook app. Can this be done?
Could you elaborate on the stuff you mentioned about the Holiday Calendar? Created a Form that pushes a request to the manager for approval, once approved it gets added as a task on planner which adds it to a public calendar!!!? HOW! Thank you!
One Question... It's is possible to add a task only for a particular date recurrently?. Same as Outlook where i can put only for friday one task?. I check the Programme task and it's not possible to add recurrent date for a task. Thanks!
It is possible with the help of Power Automate, Planner itself does not currently support it instead you would need a flow to schedule the task for you. I will try and create a video in the coming weeks to demonstrate how to do it.
Hi. When in teams- go to the "teams" menu and create a channel there for your plan - or import and existing. SO you will need to add the App to the tab list and then it will ask you if you want an existing plan
Hey, thanks for the very informative video. I've personally been having issues syncing between my changes to Planner on the web browser and my outlook calendar. I saw at the end that you were able to easily see the changes that you've made - any reason why I might be facing more difficulties? I read somewhere else that there's not much to do about this and that Planner will automatically attempt to sync every 3 or 4 hours in one-way (from Planner to Outlook); is this true? Thanks!
@Tarek Tamer I’ve had this issue in the past, Microsoft do try and keep things in sync but sometimes not quick enough. I am not sure of what time frame they use but I usually do the below when I want it all synced: Go to Outlook Go to your calendar In the top left hand corner there is a refresh button, give that a click Wait for a few seconds / a minute and it’s all synced
@@ThatOfficeGuy Thank you! I tried that a few times and it didn't work - I even contacted Microsoft support and it seems the only way we could have it sync (faster than waiting for it to automatically do so) was by asking it once more to add the Plan onto Outlook; though it would say that the plan already exists, it seems that this was the only way to have it appear in a few minutes, compared to hours. The agent told me that Planner is a newer tool that they're still working on, so this might be a sort of glitch in their system.
Does the planner calendar that overlays my personal Outlook calendar result in Planner tasks showing in my personal calendar as "Busy" when others view it through Outlook?
@Mike Hullbert unfortunately not, this is because the plan has its own calendar and is treated as such. You could always create a Microsoft flow to set appointments in your personal outlook to book those task time slots for you when a task is assigned to yourself. Maybe in the future Microsoft will add the functionality to add the tasks assigned to you as appointments in outlook. Something to request maybe?
i need to plan everything inside 1 calendar as I'm just 1 person and can not ececute several tasks from various calendars simultaneously at a point of time. suggestions are welcomed. thesis thanks

Hi, Do you have any idea how to create a plan in planner automatically without manual steps?
Is there a way to include bucket and tag info in the outlook calendar?

Do you know why the planner calendar works on outlook but does not show in the fantastical app on my phone
Very helpfull, but I am having a problem finding the planner app to bring over into teams, I've got a very extensive plan built in planner, any ideas?

What to do if I dont see this fuction (add to my Outlook) in my Planner?
Can you create a rolling task - due on say every other thursday?
Yes, this can be done using Power Automate and a scheduled process each Thursday. Let me know if you would like a video creating to show this.

You're teaching your title only at 16.38 ....but that's
