Triggering a punchy, powerful-sounding Ludwig Black Oyster Pearl kit from BFD2. - Видеоклипы
Thank you. As for Ratings, I don't share my covers to be "Liked" or "Disliked", but for the love of drumming and music. Now if I was generating royalties for Likes, I would reconsider turning it on.
I'm really loving your drum covers! The Stones are my fav band. Good job, Sal, keep on rocking indeed!!
One of a handful Stones song I like. I thought the drum sound was especially good sounding on this one. I bet Charlie Watts would approve.
Love the sound of those drums you triggered, also I really like the sound of the hihats, and all the cymbals as a matter of fact, nice job it's definetly a gas,gas.gas.
really cool! I wish I could play the drums while listening to my favorite songs! Brings a new dimension. Well played bro!
Yeeeess!!! Its like im drumming my way here, too! Great, great, great play Sal!
So cool Sal!! One of my fave Stones songs. This is one I'd play on my drums when I was a teen and had a bad day at school!!!! Great to get my agressions out!!!
Your drummin' is the BALLS, Buddy! Love it! Paul-Boston, Mass.
Thanks so much for your comment and for viewing the video. Happy New Year!
This song is pure menace and excitement, and Sal, you captured those qualities nicely.
Hey John, thanks man!
Charlie is a solid in-the-pocket drummer, not so much a solid timekeeper as far as tempo goes, but, "Hey it's only rock n' roll and I like it!!!"
sounds great
That's cool to know. It's a very basic and classic rock drum pattern and so I'm glad to see the video can serve that way. Thanks Lea.
Simply awesome huge thumbs up
Love it . Sal .
I love your channel, because you play a lot of really good songs !
From France, good job.
Thoroughly enjoyed my friend!! Great song choice!
I see this is an older one, nice job! Straight forward and steady rhythms. I was 16 when this came out and it is such an iconic song for 1968. Still love it. Only Jagger could have done it justice on the vocals.
Very very good, nice sound. Great job
So very glad to have U for a You Tube Friend. U are so Cool ,Sal .
Bravo, was very helpful. Thx
Brilliant
Man that was seamless, perfect! Better than the original dare I say!
Great job!
you r THE man
Jeez, I don't know what to say about this SOB.
D'Amato, you're a genius!! Rock on, brother!!!
Thanks Roy!!!
Cool dude, I dig how put it. Thanks man.
Hi Sal, really enjoy watching & learning from your videos, it has helped me so much in my drumming...!! cheers Craig H. Wodonga.
oH YEAHHHH...SENSACIONAL !!!!
Right on my friend, thank you.
Niiiiiiice - luvvit!
I like it!
Yea you know it. Sure, thanks for watching it. You're right about that rock beat, when I isolate/solo my drum tracks from the song track I could really hear that classic rock beat so clearly.
Thanks so much for checking out my covers, much appreciated.
Thanks Paul, I appreciate the feedback on the drum sounds. I really dig BFD2 software, it's drum kit is real solid. Thanks for checking it out. Keep rockin' and drumming!!
Always great care and cover, SAL!
John Payne
Thanks John.
Thanks. Roland V-Drums TDW-20 (Expansion Card upgrade) with TD-12 pads and VH-12 hi-hat, and for this song, triggering the Ludwig Black Oyster Pearl kit from BFD2. Hope that helps and thanks for watching. Good to hear from Brazil - a land rich in rhythm.
Awesome
Very good
good execution, and very good sound of drums
congratulations :D
Thanks
In fact it's a great cover !
Yeeeessss !!!!
exelente
Nice cover!
Very Good
Thank you.
Cool!
EVERY PERFORMANCE... A HIT!!!!!!!!! YOUR PERSONAL TOUCH!!!
Thank you.
Merci beaucoup!!
Thank you I will let you know sounds great
I’m satisfied that you know what you’re doing.
Hey thanks much for checking out my videos.
Thanks, appreciate it. I've covered Gimme Shelter a couple of years back and you'll find it on my home channel. I discovered on my own the removed hi-hat beats technique, I would eliminate the upbeats (2 & 4) played on the hi-hat since they get drowned out by the louder snare hits. It's a lazy way of playing.
Nice man!
Wow!
Nice cover!!
Rest in peace Charlie Watts😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁.
Thank you for viewing the video.
Cool cover man, I'm playing this on my bass and needed enhanced drums to play along with!
+aahlstrom93 Cool! Thank you. Glad to learn this cover served your playing...rock on!!!!
Yea, it's the Stones at their rockinest. Thanks for the feedback on the drum sound, I like that sound too, from BFD2 software.
Appreciate that, nice and clear to follow, will clean up my act for tonight's gig lol
Glad it helped. Hope it was a good gig.
love the way you mediate the high hat sound for the chorus.......just as charlie does
Thank you for viewing the cover video.
But It´s all right !!!!!!! amazing man.
Good Grove!
Thanks, much appreciated. Yes, you can say that, as that's how I think about this cover.
I started working on that Doors tune a month ago, but decided not to do it as it's one of those tunes that has the main riff pattern changing every time it comes up and I just don't want to spend a lot of time learning each and every one. But I may attempt it again because it is a great tune.
Thanks for checking it out and 0:40 is spot on, curious what you're hearing there 'cause I don't see it. Thanks.
Yea, good for you, good therapy the drums are.
GOOD GOOD GOOD GOOD GOOD !!. ... WOW!!
Thank you.
What self-respecting garage band did not play this tune. Thanks for demonstrating one of the more basic, but effective rock beats.
Thanks dude.
AGAIN ENJOYING THE DRUMER." D´Amato TOUCH" GOOD TIME FOR ME ON MY SATURDAY RELAX LONG MOMENTS. WATCHING VIDEOS ´TIL THE END OF AFTERNOON WITH MY FRIENDS AT HOME. THANKS FOR YOUR GIFT.
Fernando Macias That's sweet, thanks Fernando, good to see you again checking out my covers.
Thanks man.
This drum sound is way better than what you hear on the studio recording. No offense to Charlie and the 60s aesthetic because I love it, but this is more of a Bonham sound which gives the song bombast and power. Nicely done.
bomb dude c:
Awesome song I wounder how big is the drum set ? Sounds great you mixed the song with the drums? now do you have to tune the drums ? How you do it in order to sound similar or equal. Let me know thanks
I've covered quite a few of The Stones.
Thanks
Thanks, that saved me some time!
mikdrums Glad it helped.
Nice drumming!
I really like the sound you get.
Can you tell me a little about the equipment you use? What Rolland model is this?
Thank you!
Greetings from Brazil
Man, could you please do "Touch me" of The Doors? I love the drums on this one!
Great hi hat work
GOOD, GOOD GOOD!!!!!
+felsacha Thank you, and keep rockin'!!!!
When a drummer "loses it", it means they've gone off the beat/pulse.
Anyway, I wasn't playing this like Charlie,... who's Ray?...are you sure you got the right video? :D,...it's more of an interpretation than an exact cover, I should probably note that in the description. Thanks for commenting and providing feedback on the sound and playing.
VERY GOOD SAL!
Afonso Silva
Thank you Afonso.
Excellent! Can you do the live version from Get Your Ya-ya's Out?
Nice
Some stones YAY!!
Sounds great ! Even better than my old Ludwig Black Oyster :)
+Santonio Juan Really! would love to have a LBOP kit. Thanks for checking it out.
I always liked the drums on this track. Btw why did you disable the ratings?
I prefer this video to the original studio recording of the song.
Great job, dude.
You're so kind, thanks Captain
I trigger drum sample software (BFD2 in this case), look for a kit that matches the song. I play the cover and record it, then I do post production mixing of my drum track with the song track. Bounce down the two tracks to one audio file and sync that audio file with the video in iMovie '11.
Yea, that would be a good song to cover.
Nothing at 0.40 this is very very well played
Dude, I loved your rendition. If I gave Dumb Mau a perfectly cooked rare NY Strip he'd complain there was no accompanying baked potato.
In other words, enjoy the steak and stfu! Excellent cover friend.
Thank you pippogiu.
BUUUUUUUTTT ITTSSS AAAAAALLLLLRRIIIIIIIIIGGGHT NOWWW
Just watching that stick spin
cool hand Luke
Nice 1 mate...
Mister X
Thank you Mr X
Thanks so much, appreciate it. Thanks for subbing too.
Sal.... Being a drummer you must have noticed that Charlie watts drumming style has changed over the years. He now tends to miss out the beat on the hi-hat when he hits the snare... I don't particularly like that style personally, and I dare to say that he hasn't always played like that. i think you have covered this song brilliantly, just how Charlie did all this years ago. keep up the good work... i love watching your vids, always an inspiration..... How about covering Gimme Shelter??
No! Though it is an individual matter. If this music influenced me to live a life that is ungodly, then I would have to stop listening to it. But it doesn't. I pray for the musicians' salvation, who are still alive, who created this music. Your question can be plugged in thusly: Is it bad to use a computer or drive a car because it wasn't initially invented to bring glory to God? Of course not, though both can be used in His service.
Yes, well stated, it's the music, not the lifestyle. You know much of Christian has relied on pop/rock music. Martin Luther took well known bar songs and made them into hymns. It's actually Gospel music that is the roots of rock n' roll and r&b.
