I'm now an old man in my seventies. I've been happily married (widowed), miserably divorced (a BPD ex-wife) and so have experienced both "Heaven and Hell". After my experience with the Family Court system of Washington state, which took my kids and home away, left me living in a car for 2.5 years, and paying 45% of my pay for alimony/child support, I resolved to never get married again. I sort of recovered, and am at least close with all three kids, but would never put myself in a position again where the anti-male/anti-father government can dictate the outcome. I've seen over 50 other divorces among friends and co-workers - all with similar tales. If women wonder why men won't step up, they can look in the mirror - they wanted power, got it, and are now married to the government.

I am a retired family court attorney. Practiced in New York and North Carolina. There is no safe state for men to be married. You can do a prenup and if you get married, I highly recommend it. But every state has alimony/spousal maintenance, every state distributes the marital assets, and every state has child support laws and draconian laws regarding enforcement. Maybe some foreign countries have different laws, but most developed western countries at least have similar laws. The best advice is to not get married, and not to cohabitate because some states have common law marriage. If you want children, do it outside marriage and just pay your child support. At least you won't have marital disputes or alimony or any property to divide. And your financial responsibility will end when the children are 18. Or, do a shared parenting arrangement with no child support, but see a lawyer about that because it could change. Marriage costs on average about $1 million. It is a huge financial loss for men.

I'm nearly 50 and divorced. I don't know if any of the other guys think the way i do, but i'm suspicious whenever a woman shows interest in me. As a gen X teenager and in my 20's, a girl was interested because she was interested. After that, there were always motives that only became clear after the fact and often after considerable expense. Many women had children they didn't mention, and then introduced me to them, as if i could be guilted into becoming a step-dad. Not a chance. Others had significant others and were trying to make them jealous. It's a generalization, but guys my age know that everybody wants something from us, and we're tired of giving. Some of us have been alone for so long that staying single is an organic lifestyle now. Life is supposed to be a natural progression from singlehood to marriage and kids. The weaponization of marriage and kids naturally progressed to singlehood till the grave, where people still want something from us. For some of us, singlehood is early retirement from the full time job that is marriage or dating. You will find that single men are now doing the things they said they would do when they retired. Just 10-20 years early.

I am 54 and happily married to a wonderful woman. If she was to pass away and I were to find myself on the singles market, I would most likely remain single. I have spent years building my assets to a point where I can retire and live a slower pace. Most women bring with them unruly children, arguments, baby daddies, are generally lazy and come with a mountain of debts that would force me back into the workplace to deal with them. Because I’m a blue collar worker most women look down on me because I don’t work in an office, even though I typically earn more than double what they do. And I don’t want to become a retirement plan for someone that is only with me for what I can provide, and take half on a whim.

Women used to be told to marry young to have healthy children, it may be true but I don't think that's relevant, I think women were told to marry young because if men reach, let's say 30, and have learnt to live on their own, they won't willingly give up that life for a woman. I've been counseling young men to avoid marriage and if they are going to do it anyway to get a prenup. Using my experience of getting divorced and literally cleaned out by the ex, it makes it more real to the guys. Telling them about losing all financial means to retire and the likelihood of working until death drives the points home.
It only protects what you already had. There is some weird misconception that it protects the assets you build while married. It does not. It doesn't stop you from paying alimony or child support and losing 1/2 the assets you worked for during the marriage. A pre-nup for a young man is usually worth nothing because he has nothing when he gets married. Now if he does have something then it's worth it. But it only protects those previous to marriage assets and most of the time the men mess up and use current earned money for upkeep or property tax on the pre-nup assets and invalidate the pre-nup. If you use even a dime of the marital money on your previous asset you just ruined the pre-nup. She will claim it is now community property since you were using "her" money to maintain it. Be careful to understand what it can protect so you understand what it doesn't protect.
Been thru the mill, Zero interest in gettiing processed by a woman again. My life's goals now are to get slightly better rural neighbors, and a decent garden spot, and an acre to fence for my dogs. I don't regret being single at all. It is not worth it since the government came in between men and women. Older women and my grandaunts advised me not to get married. I am thankful for the women who advised me about marriage not being convenient for men in the Western world.
It's sad that the only thing men really require from a woman is to be pleasant and even that is asking too much for 90% of modern women. Think of all the boxes men must check to even get a girlfriend, whereas men don't care if we have 50 things in common, we don't care what your job is as long as its legal, we don't care if you make 6 figures, we just ask that you be pleasant and men have given up because women can't seem to be pleasant these days.

The contemporary North American Criminal Justice/Social climate is very much slanted. The courts still treat women as if their economic wellbeing is dependent on the man (it’s not like that anymore.) We risk losing more than half of everything we’ve slaved to earn, and around half of what we will earn. The courts still treat women as victims. If a woman say’s, “He raped/beat me” (1) we are seen as guilty in the public’s eye. Any lawyer worth their salt will tell you when a client sits in the defendant’s chair the jury sees them as 50/50 guilty/innocent. That’s a big jump “innocent until proven guilty.” A false rape claim is not merely an attack on a man’s character. It’s an attempt to kidnap, imprison, emotionally torture, and destroy an innocent man. (BTW, this comes at the cost of the credibility of all women who truly endure such horrors.) It is a profoundly evil act and yet there are rarely any real consequences for women who make false rape claims. (2) If co-habitating, we will be barred from our own house immediately and without a judge's decision (LET THAT SINK IN! WHERE ARE YOU GONNA LIVE?). (3) We will be suspended from our job pending the legal outcome. It might take a year or more. (4) We might have our beloved kids taken away. Put yourself in our shoes. How'd YOU like THAT woman? (That's role reversal for the purposes of understanding.) PROVE US WRONG. PLEASE! The laws need to change. “He wasn’t meeting my emotional needs” is all a woman needs to say to justify destroying a family. “I signed the pre-nup under duress” is all a woman needs to say to get one thrown out. About 65% of marriages fail and about 77% of divorces are initiated by the woman. It’s not the men who are destroying families. Overwhelmingly, it is the women who are destroying families. Yet they show the insanity to deny it. The truth is, in many ways, modern North American women are the most privileged in history. And they wonder why smart men are walking away from this whole mess. They want the privileges and would rather shame men into conforming into doing whatever they’re told to do, and believe whatever they are told to believe. Men see this as manipulation. IT IS. It is also evil. Women like this are not worth our vow. That vow is one they, overwhelmingly, are responsible for breaking. The overwhelming majority of the reason of why I'm in my mid 40's and still single is because of the likelihood of losing it all after divorce. If I don't do it in the first place, then no one can come around and undo it on me... I'll just stay out of bounds and watch the game from where I am. I also repel the majority women that I come into contact with due to the fact that I'm epileptic; I have seizures that I cannot anticipate and because of them I do things that I'm unaware of and that I cannot control. I don't drive or work because of this fact. Even when I did work, I was fired from every job that I had as a result of doing something that I could not control as a direct result of a seizure that I could not anticipate. So, I'm not going to be the one to be able to provide due to my health. Twice I've been arrested for doing something that I wasn't aware of due to a seizure that I could not anticipate - once was for breaking and entering (because I was unaware of what I was doing I don't know why I broke into the home that I did but apparently I thought that it was my own and it wasn't) and the other was for assaulting a police officer as a result of a seizure. If I can break into someone's home as a result of thinking that it was mine and not know it as a result of a seizure as well as assault a police officer and not know it, then I'm 100% capable of assaulting a woman as a result of a seizure as well. Because of my health I'll just go MGTOW for the rest of my life and quit getting rejected by women due to things that I can't anticipate, can't control or that I'm even aware of what I'm doing.

I'm now an old man in my seventies. I've been happily married (widowed), miserably divorced (a BPD ex-wife) and so have experienced both "Heaven and Hell". After my experience with the Family Court system of Washington state, which took my kids and home away, left me living in a car for 2.5 years, and paying 45% of my pay for alimony/child support, I resolved to never get married again. I sort of recovered, and am at least close with all three kids, but would never put myself in a position again where the anti-male/anti-father government can dictate the outcome. I've seen over 50 other divorces among friends and co-workers - all with similar tales. If women wonder why men won't step up, they can look in the mirror - they wanted power, got it, and are now married to the government.

I am a retired family court attorney. Practiced in New York and North Carolina. There is no safe state for men to be married. You can do a prenup and if you get married, I highly recommend it. But every state has alimony/spousal maintenance, every state distributes the marital assets, and every state has child support laws and draconian laws regarding enforcement. Maybe some foreign countries have different laws, but most developed western countries at least have similar laws. The best advice is to not get married, and not to cohabitate because some states have common law marriage. If you want children, do it outside marriage and just pay your child support. At least you won't have marital disputes or alimony or any property to divide. And your financial responsibility will end when the children are 18. Or, do a shared parenting arrangement with no child support, but see a lawyer about that because it could change. Marriage costs on average about $1 million. It is a huge financial loss for men.

I'm nearly 50 and divorced. I don't know if any of the other guys think the way i do, but i'm suspicious whenever a woman shows interest in me. As a gen X teenager and in my 20's, a girl was interested because she was interested. After that, there were always motives that only became clear after the fact and often after considerable expense. Many women had children they didn't mention, and then introduced me to them, as if i could be guilted into becoming a step-dad. Not a chance. Others had significant others and were trying to make them jealous. It's a generalization, but guys my age know that everybody wants something from us, and we're tired of giving. Some of us have been alone for so long that staying single is an organic lifestyle now. Life is supposed to be a natural progression from singlehood to marriage and kids. The weaponization of marriage and kids naturally progressed to singlehood till the grave, where people still want something from us. For some of us, singlehood is early retirement from the full time job that is marriage or dating. You will find that single men are now doing the things they said they would do when they retired. Just 10-20 years early.

I am 54 and happily married to a wonderful woman. If she was to pass away and I were to find myself on the singles market, I would most likely remain single. I have spent years building my assets to a point where I can retire and live a slower pace. Most women bring with them unruly children, arguments, baby daddies, are generally lazy and come with a mountain of debts that would force me back into the workplace to deal with them. Because I’m a blue collar worker most women look down on me because I don’t work in an office, even though I typically earn more than double what they do. And I don’t want to become a retirement plan for someone that is only with me for what I can provide, and take half on a whim.

Using my experience of getting divorced and literally cleaned out by the ex, it makes it more real to the guys.

It only protects what you already had. There is some weird misconception that it protects the assets you build while married. It does not. It doesn't stop you from paying alimony or child support and losing 1/2 the assets you worked for during the marriage. A pre-nup for a young man is usually worth nothing because he has nothing when he gets married.
Now if he does have something then it's worth it. But it only protects those previous to marriage assets and most of the time the men mess up and use current earned money for upkeep or property tax on the pre-nup assets and invalidate the pre-nup. If you use even a dime of the marital money on your previous asset you just ruined the pre-nup. She will claim it is now community property since you were using "her" money to maintain it. Be careful to understand what it can protect so you understand what it doesn't protect.

Confirmed Bachelors/MGTOW’s are not about hatred. It’s an UNDERSTANDING of many Modern women, popular society, and the family courts. It’s not much of an egomaniacal or emotional argument. IT’S ABOUT COLD LOGIC. Smart guys are not in the market for most modern North American women anymore. While most gals were out spending their 20's partying their ass off with bad boys, working a job, and accepting little responsibility, we cultivated a career. And we worked really really damn hard to get promoted into higher levels of responsibility & pay. Now (I) we have earned several homes, cars, lots of vacation time, and a retirement. We (I) am stable. We want to give a ton of emotional support. We want to love them and be loved. But we know better.
The family court system has not caught up with modern realities. The contemporary North American Criminal Justice/Social climate is very much slanted. The courts still treat women as if their economic wellbeing is dependent on the man (it’s not like that anymore.) We risk losing more than half of everything we’ve slaved to earn, and around half of what we will earn. The courts still treat women as victims. If a woman say’s, “He raped/beat me” (1) we are seen as guilty in the public’s eye. Any lawyer worth their salt will tell you when a client sits in the defendant’s chair the jury sees them as 50/50 guilty/innocent. That’s a big jump “innocent until proven guilty.” A false rape claim is not merely an attack on a man’s character. It’s an attempt to kidnap, imprison, emotionally torture, and destroy an innocent man. (BTW, this comes at the cost of the credibility of all women who truly endure such horrors.) It is a profoundly evil act and yet there are rarely any real consequences for women who make false rape claims. (2) If co-habitating, we will be barred from our own house immediately and without a judge's decision (LET THAT SINK IN! WHERE ARE YOU GONNA LIVE?). (3) We will be suspended from our job pending the legal outcome. It might take a year or more. (4) We might have our beloved kids taken away. Put yourself in our shoes. How'd YOU like THAT woman? (That's role reversal for the purposes of understanding.) PROVE US WRONG. PLEASE! The laws need to change.
“He wasn’t meeting my emotional needs” is all a woman needs to say to justify destroying a family. “I signed the pre-nup under duress” is all a woman needs to say to get one thrown out. About 65% of marriages fail and about 77% of divorces are initiated by the woman. It’s not the men who are destroying families. Overwhelmingly, it is the women who are destroying families. Yet they show the insanity to deny it. The truth is, in many ways, modern North American women are the most privileged in history. And they wonder why smart men are walking away from this whole mess. They want the privileges and would rather shame men into conforming into doing whatever they’re told to do, and believe whatever they are told to believe. Men see this as manipulation. IT IS. Any person of reasonable caution understands that men in western culture must work extremely hard to prove ourselves by achieving consistent results in the face of adversity. It takes YEARS to accomplish this and build their resources. Talk with each other and ask, "How many families have you seen torn apart where the woman initiated the divorce?" 77% of divorces are initiated by women. We all know 77% of men are not the jerks who have it coming. Men are waking up to it and we have women to thank for it. They do NOT love us. When the bank account goes, so do they. You don't have to sign a contract to prove you love someone. A marriage contract is nothing but men agreeing to legalized extortion, if you don't do as she wants. Think of all the demands and requirements women place on men to date or to maintain a relationship. The ONLY requirement men have is that women be pleasant and women can't even do that. It's sad that modern women can't seem to just be pleasant compared to all the crap men are expected to do. That's why there are Passport Bros, etc. because women overseas are nice. The overwhelming majority of the reason of why I'm in my mid 40's and still single is because of the likelihood of losing it all after divorce. If I don't do it in the first place, then no one can come around and undo it on me... I'll just stay out of bounds and watch the game from where I am. I also repel the majority women that I come into contact with due to the fact that I'm epileptic; I have seizures that I cannot anticipate and because of them I do things that I'm unaware of and that I cannot control. I don't drive or work because of this fact. Even when I did work, I was fired from every job that I had as a result of doing something that I could not control as a direct result of a seizure that I could not anticipate. So, I'm not going to be the one to be able to provide due to my health. Twice I've been arrested for doing something that I wasn't aware of due to a seizure that I could not anticipate - once was for breaking and entering (because I was unaware of what I was doing I don't know why I broke into the home that I did but apparently I thought that it was my own and it wasn't) and the other was for assaulting a police officer as a result of a seizure. If I can break into someone's home as a result of thinking that it was mine and not know it as a result of a seizure as well as assault a police officer and not know it, then I'm 100% capable of assaulting a woman as a result of a seizure as well. Because of my health I'll just go MGTOW for the rest of my life and quit getting rejected by women due to things that I can't anticipate, can't control or that I'm even aware of what I'm doing.

It’s just logic . Men being generally speaking, logical . There’s so much information out there as well . I recommend all young people go abroad to work for a few years ( doesn’t matter what work ) and I’m not suggesting the passport bros thing either , which is a little disingenuous. You have to be able to live out of your comfort zone , especially when young . Better than sitting around while the West collapses . Go abroad, learn something different.
