Ricardo (Don) designed the downstairs of my home in Charlotte a few years back. I was surprised and happy to see his face on my YT recommendations for this video. He's not only amazing at his craft, he is lovely to work with! I plan to ask him to come back to do my Master bedroom soon.

I got tears eyed. I pushed the button to go, and as I heard Mr. Massenburg speak - I heard my grandma’s family speaking. They are from Hampstead area in N.C. It is amazing how even each southerner speaks with their own accent. Love the fact I am very Southern on both sides. My children have been raised in the west but I never let them forget that southern blood.🤩

Absolutely beautiful!! But yet comfortable livable you can entertain....everybody would be so comfortable. Yet it's just elegance at its best, you can dress it up you can dress it down. It's that evening gown that you found in Couture if you will and you can wear it with the highest heel or the baddest combat boot!! I love it The Decorator did a marvelous job...... the peace it exudes again I think it's beautiful

This is one of the most beautiful and massive homes ever. I love all the furniture, decor, and textures on the walls. All of the lighting's are amazing. The paint colors are stunning. Just one question . Are there blinds in the children's bedrooms to cover the entire arch of the windows ? Children get the best quality sleep in darkened rooms . Blackout blinds , or blackout curtains are best .

I like the "pick-up sticks" gold metal modern art piece high up on a wall, and that's not my usual taste. The fireplace on the porch was very nice. The antique mirror backsplash I wish I had!!

OMG! Beautifully built home. Beautifully designed and decorated. The best ever! AWESOME.
I guess I have to preface my opinion with the fact that personally I prefer a home that is warm and cozy with color. That being said I felt that this house could benefit from bright colorful art on the walls. The rooms are so cavernous that I did not understand why chairs were pushed so far to the walls. I thought the entryway round table would have been enhanced with an vintage rug underneath it. In the living room because the windows are so tall the curtains seemed to be too narrow. Perhaps sheer white across the whole window or curtains at the lower windows only would have worked better. It just needs some warming up.
I agree! It comes off very cold, and the black and white becomes monotonous & uninspiring as the tour goes on.
@@annemurphy9339 First rule of business, the client dictates the style and color choices. At the beginning of the video, he stated several times the clients did not want color and that HE preferred a little more color in the space.

My favorite rooms are located in the basement; the workout room and bathroom, the theater room and the kids space. Oh I love the design of the home, beautiful curb appeal.
A+++ work. But it's very safe. The problem with modern contemporary design is you lose character and unique qualities. So it basically becomes 90% of designs in most homes that are afraid to take a leap and do something more challenging. But again this was still knocked out of the park👍🏽
