Thank you! I used your information to change my track lights and the information about making sure the contacts were being made saved me from returning them for not working.
thank you for the info. I have never dealt with track lighting and this saved my butt
Thanks David for helping out with Halo Track installation!
Very pleased with this item. Keeps good readings
Really appreciate you putting info online. So many places either do not give you enough info to be sure you are buying the right thing or the info they give you is useless.
THANK YOU!
Glad to be able to help!
@@lumicrest Now, if you only sold Track Lighting Heads that were not Halo type, I could buy something from you!
We have some Lightolier and Juno track adapter components that we sometimes use to swap into our track heads if a client really needs that. What kind of track do you have?
@@lumicrest Mostly LT, but one JT. (Don't ask me why they installed a JT in a house with a bunch of LT. It was here when I bought the house.)
Trying to help out my 85 year old father in law, and I'll now assume it's the Lightolier type, or Juno, since they are similar. His track lighting was put in 20 years ago, all with halogen lights, so he now wants LED, as it seems the base of the light is finished, as adding new Halogen bulbs still won't allow them to work. I know the lights only have two prongs, so that narrows it down to the two tracks with two prongs, mentioned here. It looks like I may have to drive over to his place again (he's legally blind) to check the prongs, to see if they are two rounded, or one rounded on one side...the other square. Thanks for the education on this topic!
Thank you. Helped me removed by fixture so I can take it to the light store!

Good, useful information.
Thanks a lot
Do you have to shut the switch off?
informative!
I've got existing track embedded in sheetrock dating from 1990. I'd like to change the rather large track light fixtures that are currently in place to smaller ones without having to remove the old track and install a new one. The challenge is these fixtures are the 4 point (4 wire) type and the new fixtures I've been considering are all 3 wire. Is there a way to rewire power to the track so the 3 point fixtures can be used? Too, this particular track is controlled by two different dimmer switches. That is to say four of the fixtures are on one dimmer, two others are on the other.
It sounds like you've got two-circuit track. Assuming it's H-type track (which means Halo or Halo compatible), then we do have lights that can work on this kind of track. Best thing is to take a pic of the pins on your track lights and email to us so we can take a look. Maybe contact us through our web form at lumicrest.com and we can guide you from there?
@lumicrest I can take a pic but it appears I cannot upload it through the web contact page. Is there an email address I can send to?
@@bobedsall5625 I don't want to post an email address on youtube, if you contact us through the webform I will give you a contact to send to, is that ok?
.@lumicrest Will do
Can I just change the head without changing the track itself??
The man just showed how you snap them into place, no? You can snap in as many as you want. Of course you can change them.

I find that the lights without backing just bleeds light from the back, does nothing for cooling because LED already run very cool, comparing to halogens....imo
When was the worlds first track light invented?
Anyone?
Someone other than the video creator may be able to tell you, he doesnt know anything other than that three types he sells. He got the three types of track lighting wrong... Lol
since when are three pronged lights only halogen? Shouldnt you mention that 3 prong means it is earthed or grounded? THat is the point of it; not really much to do with the type of bulb being used.
Glen Browne I think Halo is a brand name. I've never known the brands but only knew they was H, J, and L track types. I assumed it was because of the shape of the track.
