Biblical principles: Excellence is our standard for business. Taking risk is a mandate. Being honest and people of integrity. Being Christ focused and not wearing ourselves out to get rich. Thanks Eden.

I love the parable of the talents. My favorite part is seeing between the lines. The First guy was prepared. You see he immediately went froward, he knew what to do, and clearly the risk he took was a perfect moment of opportunity meets preparation.

Some great points in there. I often struggle not to work too much and am working with Jesus to find a balance to put my family first, especially as I have young children. God bless you all!

I'd like to hear more of your thoughts on the Cultural Mandate and how the lack of understanding of that as a prime motivator to the church and individual believer affects the meaning of our lives. That is, many people have no sense of purpose or struggle with what they should be doing in their lives.

Someone please if you can answer this question I had since a long ago now:
Is it okay to take commissions from sales, doesn't it count as cheating and lying?
I work in this area and truly speaking I don't feel comfortable to smile and sweet talk to customers, while knowing that they have just been lied to as they are paying for more than what truly is the price for an item.I have stopped doing this a while now and I am seriously broke😅 but I have such a peace of heart to be honest... But the question still remains I'd like to know the answer

taking a commission isn’t inherently wrong. you’re being paid a portion of the sale for making it happen. but whether or not the price is “right” or “ethical” is a different story. if selling at that price makes you uncomfortable and like you’re lying to the customer, might be best you got out of it 😇

Actually this is not really wrong especially when sellers are not paid with any salary but they get a share especially in selling property. The developer will provide us agents commission because we hussle, we look for our own customers, we pay for our fair, we sometimes need to help them fill out forms from banks, we assist them in understanding system for bank loans if they opt, and we do all of those stuff even take and edit photos on our own, without any refund from our Real estate agency. We only get free training and printing. So once we make a sale, that is that time we get back the investment we placed. So that is not entirely ethical, because it is an allocation to cover for the expenses of an agent.

A little disappointing. I see far more clear "Principles" to follow in Scripture then these. Ex:
    1. Don't love and trust money
2.keep the sabath holy for you and your workers
    3.pay your debts
4.be ethical is a God fearing way
    5. Work dilligently, avoid lazyiness
    6.plan ahead
    7.save
Each of these can be found over and over in the word of God.

I think he was going more for the angle of not just the obvious/clear principles which we should all be practicing already but rather for the subtle. For me, for example, I found his take really helpful because I had never really considered risk taking in business from a christian perspective. Thank you for you list too - it was a very good reminder.

We as the body should not condemn ourselves ..you said you see a clear way and Eden also sees a another way, does the scripture not say we see in part and prophecy in part as different part of the body we all have a role to play and none of them is to condemn anyone so let’s be positive to one another the body is way behind in the market place to be honest. Let’s be open minded and test every spirit before we jump to conclusions. Your point of view is totally right and so is his so why the hassle at the end of the day the end game is for the God to rule over every kingdom ( Having Dominion)

At least the young man did the video and put the information out there for individuals to view. You could've shared your opinions to him privately. It's easy to look up a person when their business info is displayed as in this video.
